Hi Andrew, I know I'm years behind. But I have seen you are still living in the bus. My experience: whenever possible have your shade on the outside of the windows. Heat should be kept outside. Another point worth mentioning: painting the roof white or silver will keep the bus cooler in the summer (but in the wintertime you will not profit from the sun heating up the bus). And it's always a good idea to have an air gap between the outside screen and the building or bus.
Really enjoying watching your videos you mentioned in one about mosquito bites I was up in the North of Spain a few years ago in my motorhome and it was bad getting bitten along. A local lady in a shop seen my bites and recommended putting a small saucer of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR at the side of your bed.......worked great .
What a fabulous beach. I started going to Algarve zillion of years ago. Obviously I was under the impression that Algarve was not holding any secrets from me. That fantastic, yet unknown beach was another revelation. So close to Vilamoura and yet soooo faaar! Great vídeo, 1.000 thanks.
You can never kill a Yukka plant & they don't need watering you can snap a branch off & just stick in the dirt without any TLC & you've got another plant ! I've chopped down loads in Australia & they always grow back
Definitely a good plant to dot around the garden. They do tend to look a bit sad before they spring back to life. Looking forward to the next batch in the skips in spring. 👍
The 20min factor: Thats one of the main reasons because Lisbon is one of the most desirables cities in the world, right now! By train or a quick drive you have Estoril/Cascais beach front. We also have Sintra coast (30min from Lisbom centre) with high cliffs stunning beaches (with colder atlantic water) and my favorite ones, the 11km of openwide thin sand of Caparica coast line. Such a priveledge being born and raised in Lisbon and always have "beach" in my DNA. Cheers

I'm really interested about how much money you paid for your property. It looks beautiful, and the trees are a treasure. The only concern i would have is the water supply, but maybe one could compensate the dry climate with some permaculture tricks. Have a nice day!

i am wondering if that concrete box is an old septic tank? too small? as for the sun issue on your bus - i would try to fix some sun shield fabric to the OUTSIDE somehow.

Suction cups suck. The only one that worked for me was a tablet holder. But that only worked because it was supported by the car shelf 🤦♂️
I have seen people use magnets… I think you could get both sides and fix some around the window rim if there isn’t any metal to attract them.

Too late but I would use a roll of magnetic tape that has adhesive on one side. An excellent way to anchor your window shield.

Why not paint the non visible upper part of the roof of your bus in white, so it reflects the sun, instead of absorbing it?
