      Hi! Well in my experience, getting started isn’t very hard, after all I posted my first video less than a day after I created the channel. The only things you need to make sure you have to make a video is pretty much, a device you can do it on, a software and a means for you create audio. You also need to have a good plan of course (plus planned out scripts and thumbnails and stuff) for what the first video (and videos after) will be. After that everything sort of works out itself as long as you keep posting on a consistent schedule. If you want to grow, you should also try and promote every video you put out, possibly even outside of RUclips. But yeah, hope this is helpful.

    Let's see, Japan would be on the Central Powers side, Italy would be inclined to either stay neutral or join the Central Powers due to their imports of British coal, Ottomans would be either be neutral or a Central Powers member, yeah France and Russia is getting steamrolled.

    I feel like you missed the trick in regards to UK potentially forming Imperial federation considering it never happened due to the Gallipoli campaign and how many losses they suffered in the original WW1. I think in this alt history it would have been formed and I could see the UK having a far larger population due to not losing the same amount of men to WW1 and not being plagued by the financial damage of WW1 either so I o=could see them and Germany having a more of a population boom and having more incentivises to improve its overseas territories due to forming the Imperial Federation so modern day Canada and South Africa and Ireland would have larger populations in the 1930s thus allowing the UK to really have a much larger Army. I also think this would had led to South Africa having much larger white population and becoming majority white as the Uk would be spending the 1920s consolidating the Imperial Federation to be permanent.
    I think Germany in this scenario would have been more aggressive in its territory seizure particularly in countries like Denmark and the netherlands which would have given them more control over the Baltic sea and in the Benelux region and I think depending on how Austria-Hungary would be plagued by political unrest amongst its people them I still see them splitting apart under its own weight and I think again that would allow germany to get control of lands that had German natives like Austria and the Sudetenland.
    I think these two situations would have made the UK actually consider going to war with the USa in the 1930s which was a real possibility as Canada would be far more valuable to the Imperial Federation and considering they would be having a far larger population that would allow them to have a larger army and being allied by Germany the rest of the central powers would have made them use the great depression as a way to invade and cripple the USA and take lands way from them such as New England and New York ect being taken by the UK and perhaps over the course of the next 15 to 20 years I think there would have been a real possibility of the USA becoming either defragmented due to the great depression and losing wars to the Uk and having parts of the East Coast taken by the UK and having to pay financial payments to the UKor going into full civil war between the Pacific West Coasts, Communist sand and states that want to preserve the old American union.
    I think this would have great ramifications as it would cause incredible amount of infrastructure, economic damage and a great loss of life as well as the USa being split into three ways across North America due to a stalemate and I think the UK/Imperial Federation would just chip away at the USA bit by bit as the UK throughout the 1900s would be increasing its population and having a great influx of refugees of americans going into canada to seek refuge and becoming a part of the Imperial federation as citizens over time.
    Also I still believe that Russia would have gone into civil war still and be taken over communists which leads to the USSR and I think France would be having a ton of issues with communism in the 1930s and would not have been prepared or the ability to go to war with the Central powers and UK.
    Plus I still Japan being aggressive in its colonial expansion but considering how isolated they would be with no allies in the region then I think they would focus fully on invading China instead of taking an aggressive approach particularly with the likes Malaysia and UK ect so I think Japan would become the undisputed Asian power.
    I feel like you might need to make another video exploring these topics whenever discussing the UK joining the Central powers because I feel you missed other ramifications.

    You don't even need to go back earlier than 1900 for this to work: Britain disliked everyone on both sides, they almost started a war against France during the Fashoda incident; the Great Game was still being actively played with Russia; Germany had had their resources drained by a fake dispute to see who'd build more ships (there was no way Germany would win it); William II really hated his uncle, but he was actively trying to approach both Victorian crowns; Austria-Hungary was so weak, they existing wouldn't change the Ballance of Power in Europe.

    Could you make a part 2 making 2 different scenarios first scenario would be there would be a Cold War between Britain and Germany who would win possible division of France west France pro British and east France pro German but Paris also divided into west and east for the Cold War if the US is still isolationist or realised it needs to choose a side between Britain and Germany my guess would be US would ally with Britain because of culture very similar to each other and Britain is more of a liberal democracy than Germany. Second scenario no Cold War what the world be like with no decolonisation and Germany and Britain still allies / friendly rivalry who would the world powers be of today and what the geopolitical landscape look like. Thank you for the video keep it up

    Like the video but I just thought you should know that your lead up to the alliances being made could be made much more simple and realistic. How is having queen Victoria place someone other than Edward VII as her heir which is reasonable because it is documented that she did not trust him and did not particularly like the idea of him becoming king. This would effect things because the driving force behind the Entente as he hated kaiser Wilhelm and wanted to spite Germany so he tried to isolate Germany. so you could just change it to being someone with a better relationship with Wilhelm being placed on the thrown. (also the naval buildup is not really a driving force for Britain's hostilities it was just a way for the British government to turn their people against Germany. the naval build up was for protecting German trade and if the British government were friendly with Germany that would never have been a problem)

  • @Ganonmustdie2

    An interesting scenario! I like the turning point being Wilhelm III gaining power. I agree that with the balance heavily in the Central Powers' favor, Italy would likely have stayed in the alliance to swipe territories from France which I was hoping you would mention! I do have some doubts about things later in the video. For instance, Spain was neutral throughout WW1 due to political instability and them knowing their military was very poor compared to other nations. They also profited heavily from weapons trading to both sides. I do not see them being persuaded by France (who is clearly going to lose in this timeline) to join a war they have no chance to win. I also wonder if the war would have truly lasted until 1918 in this scenario. Combined Franco-British forces barely held Germany off during the initial Schlieffen plan, so Germany WITH British and Italian support, and without having to divert time + manpower into fighting Belgium should logically have crushed right through French defenses to capture Paris in a relatively short time. The shock of this may have forced a quick French surrender, and if France did resist its government may have been in such shambles that it could not properly organize much resistance. If they could establish defensive lines, the British naval blockade would quickly seal the deal for whatever resistance was preventing all 3 powers from breaking through.
    I completely agree Russia would be slowly but surely obliterated here. Not to mention if for whatever reason the Ottomans do join they would be able to supplement the invading force without having to worry about British interference, meaning Russia has to defend the Caucasus more heavily which cannot be good for them.
    Overall I could imagine a late 1915-early 1916 end to the war being very feasible, or perhaps even earlier if France & Russia realize how unwinnable the situation is and try to negotiate early to minimize their losses. Theoretically, there is not really a need to follow the strict 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 timelines of WW1 and WW2 if the alternate history scenario allows for things to happen at different times. Otherwise someone might be tempted to artificially stretch out or cut out parts of the alternate history conflict in order to fit the timeline, rather than organically letting the scenario play out.
    Ultimately these are little adjustments, overall the what-if was fun to watch and I only offer the critiques in hopes they help you in some way

    The title of the video is wrong. Hypothetical questions like this must use the past subjunctive. It should be "What if Britain HAD joined the central powers? ". Can you see the extra "HAD" in there ?

    • @deezznuts5396
      @deezznuts5396 8 месяцев назад +1

      It really depends. In the same way that some people will say “I ate” instead of “I’ve eaten” to both mean that the person has had something to eat in a way that is relevant to the present, “what if britain joined” could be considered grammatically acceptable, if a little temporally ambiguous in comparison to “what if britain had joined” which has a distinct and clear meaning of a past Event which did not really occur. But it’s hardly ungrammatical

    • @youtischia
      @youtischia 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@deezznuts5396Thats wrong. It really doesnt depend. When talking of past actions that didnt take place but could have, there is only one correct form. You need to use the past subjunctive ALWAYS. Britain didnt join the central powers but theoretically could have. So the correct form is "What if Britain HAD JOINED...". That verb form is called the past subjunctive. You have used the present subjunctive by mistake. A common error on youtube.
