Love when you explain whybyou didnt make a buy as much as when you did. Helps me think about my purchases in a different way. Thanks for showing both sides... Love the videos!
I don't know if you keep track of or go to community yard sale type events, but the Harrison community yard sale is Sept 9, 8-1pm at the Harrison Community Center (easy to google or ask me if you want the address). Either way, keep up the good hunting!
5:10 "The case was made by a boy's father that collected these. I never knew the boy nor the father, but I knew the mother..." I'll bet he did "know" the mother in more ways than one. I don't know why this made me chuckle so much. Almost sounds like a stepfather situation or something. He's going to end up keeping that case and those cars. Somehow I doubt that he "turned down" another offer at all because he had to come up with another amount that made sense while asking what your amount was. People are a piece of work.
Could you do a video explaining how you record and what you use to edit your videos? Specifically what you use for your camera views. Not sure if you have ever shown this or not.
The candles were a great score. My grandson would have loved that headboard when he was little. It's cute. Of course, it would have had to say Red Sox. LOL
I don’t know much about tootsie cars but if they were original matchbox they would be worth 500.00. My husband has all the original matchbox in the box mint he’s collected since the 80s they are really cool you were right. Not to buy with out the boxes he says he would never sell his 😁he has the first 75 made and all the large trucks about 200 in all I enjoy watching your videos I hope your family is well I always like your wife being with you she seems very happy 😃🥰
Hey! Love the channel. Do you have a Patreon and is there any way to get the full unedited videos? I know this sounds weird but seeing the full thing and then spotting the bargains is half the fun for me, and while I can see the logic of your cuts, I’d really like to see the original footage. I’d pay for that!
I hate VHS tapes unless sealed. I just disposed of 600 of them. Could not give them away. Even had some old horror and they would not sell either. Felt bad about filling up a dumpster but sometimes you just got to do it.
Not to be a snobby 'know it all' reseller, but the guy with the cars also had the lantern you looked at. It was hard to see what it was, but from what I could tell, it was a short globe RR lantern. I could not see any railroad markings on it which MIGHT give creedence to the price he was asking. $100 for a generic short globe lantern without a marked globe is way past retail price. As you found out about the cars. You gave him the chance. He probably still has them.
What camera are you using for the vids right now? So you usually get people mad because you are recording? Just wondering been wanting to do this in my area
I use the GoPro hero 8 black. I can count on one hand how many times people were upset that I was filming and I just simply turned my camera off, no biggie. Most people want to learn about my channel and think it’s cool what I’m doing
Some of the tootsie toys, in good shape command a quite high price, dinky toys are also good, you might have to sell them individually, or even the case individually.. John I didn't get a good look at some of this stuff... some of them may have been manufactured outside of the United States, not as easily procured here??? Of course with sellers -- enabling international shipping it may not be as big of a deal as it used to be... always a good move to pet the official greeter, and politeness does help something your exceedingly good at ....LAXVESPA - Los Angeles, I think Hilary - storm / tornado * high winds may have gone past Los Angeles..
Yeah unless I can get the hot wheels lots dirt cheap I don’t even bother. Honestly I don’t even know if I would’ve gone $300 on them. Most likely the type of thing I would’ve just nodded and passed on too.
$100 max is what I will pay for those matchbox cars. I think you got lucky by him not taking your $300 offer. Those farming or construction related vehicles don't go for much even if it is in great condition.
I wonder if he already sold the best cars. Since there was less than what the sign said. I’d be worried that a savvy toy car collector already cherry picked it.
Been reselling for 20 plus years. Absolutely worst year in a long time for garage sales. A lot of people watch John and all the other RUclipsrs and now think everything they own is gold. I have found different avenues to secure product. I would suggest if you’re a reseller to try to do the same!
My garage sale finds have been decent, but my problem is the LACK of sales. Usually there's 10+ advertised in my area every weekend with varying luck, but this year the sales have been few and far between. I'm usually struggling to hit more than 5 in a weekend, and I cast a pretty wide net when I do go. Very frustrating
@@cincinnatipickergot a sports collection for sale out here in Michigan if interested please let me know have watched you for 3 years now in a time of need and know you’ve had sales before that’s why I’m asking :)
Yah those dinky toys aren't worth much, I was screaming for you not to buy them. I see them in random small lots but nothing I get excited about. I tend to find Matchbox cars made in England from the 1970's in one's and two's so I pick them up for $1. For some reason I have never found Hot Wheels red rims in my area.
You could hang the headboard on the wall and attach shelves across the posts to display some of your Reds collection.

He did you a favor by refusing your 300 offer.
Lol I think you’re right
Yea think my tops would be $300 too.....cool piece tho
@@cincinnatipicker yep spending 400 to make 100 is not good numbers, spending 100 to make 400 is good numbers
That guy didn’t get offered $350. I don’t believe it. He’ll die with them.
@@biffboffoyeah he definitely didn't. That's why he asked how much he offered and then just added 50 to it

First time seeing someone trying on shoes at a garage sale!

Great stuff John, Wish you put out more content! You are my fav reseller to follow, Keep it up!
Wow! Cools cars - box was the coolest part I thought! But you got some cool stuff! Always fun to “go” with you!

Amen to this

There are some retired Yankee candles, even when they have been lit, are worth hundreds. They are all worth looking up.
how often do you respond to or counter offers on ebay? is there any more lenience for stock you’ve held for a long time and are happy to get rid of?
Yeah absolutely, if I’ve had it a while, I just wanna move it. I’d say generally I accept half the offers I get, refuse 25% and counter 25%
A new i-dye daedalus disc for $3 🤯🤯
Awesome video :) cool finds john !!
I design challenge coins for a living!
@7:05 the zombucks coin is just a copper round. Most likely struck as 99.9% copper. Worth about $10
Very cool!
I thought it was somthing from resident evil collection.
Nice John!
Like the candles 💕

Oh yeah i forgot! I sold it to play it again sports for $30. In hindsight I should have listed it on Facebook, probably could have gotten more

Sounds like a plan! Shoot me an email cincinnatipicker@gmail.com

What’s up CP!!
He didn't want to budge on those cars.
I know each car price will vary, but I wonder if that was high price for the lot.
Curious, are there sales that you go to and don't buy anything?
Oh yeah, tons. I usually don’t show them unless I see something interesting
Im at the pointvwhete i wemt through my house and found iver 20 things to sell on my ebay store.

I see you passing up a lot of good "woman" stuff (good job picking up the needlework kit) - do you watch any womenreseller youtubers?
