    What do you think is better in 2024? Webflow or Framer?

    This is incredibly helpful and concise! I'm in the process of deciding to move my freelance web design business away from Wordpress (feeling very uninspired there..) to either Webflow or Framer, but this really helped me decide that Webflow is going to be the best tool to learn in the long run for any size of client site and give me no limitations to build whatever a client wants in the future. Thank you so much!

      What were your thoughts on the product roadmap? We like that Webflow is better heaver on B2B marketing teams

    The CMS is definitely Framer’s weak point. But you can seriously expand Framer if you code, it’s built on React so you can make anything. You can even connect it to external services like AirTable. While I like Webflow it’s built on Jquery and React is just a better web technology.

    • @bradfordjhuber
      @bradfordjhuber 10 месяцев назад +3

      Yes you can for sure expand Framer with code. My complaint with how they’ve set it up right now though is that you don’t get easy access to classes/ids (they are autogenerated) and you can’t set data attributes on elements. So even though you can extend Framer with code the UI makes it harder to target elements in your custom code. It makes it so you can’t use other no code solutions that are attribute based (like memberstack) with framer. I’m excited to see where framer evolves though and hopefully they make some updates that make it more dev friendly as well

      @@bradfordjhuber it’s definitely far from perfect. I do like that I can scale up as needed. Everything in Framer I can build pretty easily in React and use Framer Motion for animation. But there is also everything in between. Maybe it’s just me but I like true component based development, like React, Svelte, Vue etc. Regular HTML, CSS and Jquery is just too much of a pain to scale up if you need to.

      @@OneBrighDay Framer motion is a really nice library. I’m excited to see how framer evolves for sure. Competition is great for all users as framer is bound to get better and webflow will be forced to get better to compete

      Framer scrolls in a jerky way. Smooth scrolling in webflow is the best. And the base scrolling is better right out the box.

      @@bradfordjhuberthis was helpful. Thank you. I plan on extending Framer and I can see how this would be a problem. Depending on how much integration it can be quite tedious gathering class names and IDs.

    Framer's 5mb file upload limit on the lower plans is a bit mean.

    • @bradfordjhuber
      @bradfordjhuber 9 месяцев назад +1

      Is that for all file types? For webflow images are limited to 4mb, documents to 10mb, and videos to 30mb.
      I that limit is pretty fair because atleast for images as long as you optimize them you shouldn’t need to get even close to that size

      Yes, Framer for designers that are skilled in Figma is going to make things a lot easier. Great for sites that are small, need to be published fast, but scalability isn't a priority.

    This is a very honest overview. Thank you for mentioning that there is no code export with Framer.
    You should acknowledge that Webflow has extensive, free educational tutorials would be my only suggestion to your otherwise complete overview.

    I wanna build a landing page but framer’s 10k website visitors seems less as compared to webflow..
    Which one should I go with?

    • @Amply-Agency
      @Amply-Agency  5 месяцев назад

      10k site visitors is pretty low. If you are expecting that traffic, we feel like a paid plan is justified on Webflow because you should be able to monetize on that large amount of traffic.

    Or do I've to pay $8 for a month and can create unlimited number of websites in a month
