I always fail this mission whenever I try it everytime i do a playthrough. Maybe I need that many suppor frigates for real haha. I always try to fight with assault frigates but never works out well.

lol don't feel too bad, that is a really hard mission, even in vanilla! My mod changes a few things around though. Assult frigates have been buffed, they do 120 DPS instead of 85. Their plasma weapons also have some weight behind them alowing them to push frigate class ships around in large groups. Also, ships do not repair themsleves in my mod so support frigates are kind of required for long term engadgements.
