Hey Delos Tribe! What a fun amazing time we had during our first week in Mauritius! Thanks for your love and comments, we love hearing from you! Unfortunately, we say see ya later to Carmen in this episode :( Show her some love as well for putting up with us for so long and being an amazing sailor and friend!
Best of luck to Carmen. She had finally started to grow on me. Great episode Delos! Always a good way to start the weekend with a new episode. Keep up the great work!
tslazoo : Dude, such bad form to piss on someone else's channel. I for one am happy for their success, just as much as I am happy for SV Delos' success.
Re-watching all the old episodes again...for the third time, having been watching for nearly 7 years now and being from Ohio , I still get a kick out of seeing Bri wearing a Toledo Mudhens shirt...and I still get the same excitement/enjoyment watching them all over again and again ... !
Watching this from my forced covid quarantene in italy....La Reunion, blue waters, good people enjoying the best life has to offer together. AWESOME and a great reminder of what LIFE IS REALLY ABOUT: Love and adventure! -Thanks!
Sad to see another Delos crew leave the ship, especially just after she found her sea legs. Wish you all the best Carmen, and thanks for sharing so much. Congrats on your now 177K followers Delos! 500K soon!
Hello Delos Crew!!! That was an awesome video as well... And it's so sad to see Carmen go... :( She has a very colorful and joyful personality. So long Carmen!!! Will miss you...:) You Delos Crew, take care yourselves and keep enjoy your amazing adventures with new faces... :) Safe cruising... :)
Bitter sweet episode. It's always hard to say goodbye. You have such fantastic guests aboard Delos. It's like Delos attracts only the best in humankind. Goodbye Carmen. I could spend a lifetime with you.
I've always wanted to visit Mauritius. Thanks for taking us there. I really liked that you were picking up plastic off the beach. We all should be doing that. Finally we see Breeyan's movie-star good looks under that beard.
i'm pretty sure this is the only sailing vlog where i get sad when a crew member leaves...you feel the sense of family they grew while on board...good luck Carmen btw...loved the smokers montage...hilarious
Hey guys, love your videos. You are living me and my wife's dream! Once we deal with our issues of alcoholism and addiction we are planning on following your footsteps. We are licenced engineers and nurses, so financing aren't a problem. Bump into u on the open seas and motivation of how great/ adventurous life can be!!!!!! Love u strangers!
Hey Delos crew! Long time fan and many of my friends now follow. Karen jumping off the boat in the begining, has the best "beer out of the sand" pull.. love the show, bought the T shirt.
Brian, as a fellow beard wearer, and I've had mine for over twenty years, I can say, with all honesty, that the beard adds years to you. Mine does to me too, the shorter I have it the younger I look. I think that, if I were to shave completely, I'd look twenty years younger... so I'm saving that for when I'm 70. Great vid, as always. Been following for so long and always look forward to what you post. Thank you so much for sharing.
Yet another amazing Delos adventure ! Keep those fitness challenges growing ! Im sure I can say for myself and many of your viewers "I wish I were you !"
Fare well Carmen, wherever you go. Was starting to get to know you a little and like it, so you will be missed :-) Great entertainment as always! I love you all for still giving me the feeling of being a fly on the wall among cool people. I know you work a lot to do this, but keep on making it look like you are just taking us along :-)
What that crew is gone already barely got to know them Carmen was a lot of fun. Their initiation to ocean sailing, trial by fire was how do say very high seas adventure, again great video
Sorry to see Carmen go, but Brian you look so much younger, it is such big change! Just another great video, great to see the sea crabs, and the smokers!
I've been binge watching... justifies the reason I started watching! I'm a screen guy n S Fl. Yall give me a Great escape from it all. Keep it up my man
I felt like this was the first episode, since Josje, Babs, Max and Frida, that you were all back to yourselves...joking, laughing, acting goofy, filming the funny stuff. SMOKERS!!!! I have been a subscriber since almost day 1, Cheers guys from Chicago
finally finished binge watching sv delos from start . glad to have caught up love the vids especially how they have changed over the years .looking forward to many more
I am always sad when a crew member leaves Delos. When the crew of seven broke up a few months back I didn't think Delos would be the same again. But I've grown to love this new crew. Carmen has a wonderful quirkiness that will be missed. I wish you all the best Carmen!
Wow.. great video! During the shave, it was first the Bob Seeger look, then the biker look, then the Sam Elliot look, then Frank Zappa, then his original handsome mug!
You guys made the observation if they would just have some technology that allowed them to share information between ports and it brought to mind my own experience there.I was in Mauritius in 1980. I visited their version of the Federal Communications Commission to get a ham license. I saw 75-100 people in an office pushing paper. I met Mr. Horlol (spelling is likely wrong) who was a manager in the office and the guy who signed our permits. The man had a PHd in paper shuffling. We watched for quite some time move paper from one stack to another while we spoke with him. In the end we got our licenses. I worked for a computer company at the time and thought - gee if they would put one our computers in here - we could replace most of the staff. Then it occurred to me - what would the people in the office do if we replaced them with bits and bytes? They are earning an honest living - and at relatively low wages. Mauritius had a population of about 1 million people when I visited. It was/is a stable democracy! Seems their system works for them! They likely don't put the technology in because of worker displacement!
I'm all out of whack! I got to watch the Patreon video, like 15 seconds after it popped yesterday. Now I'm traveling back in time! I might have to join just to feel right about the world again 8D
It was just so wrong and inaccurate on so many levels, but I have just rewatched it and its still just as much fun. Watch, enjoy, and don't over analyse.
Gunna miss Carmen. Beautiful person & soul. Especially will miss her quirkiness & laugh. Would be nice learning a bit about her next chapter. Did she get that cheerleading job? LOL 😄
What I absolutely love about this episode is that I saw you first time removing trash from a beach and the water. Please do it more often! Give nature something back for all the good things she gives you all the time! Go on, DELOS! :)
amazing video guys, 30 mins can be long but i didn't get bored once. the way you interact with locals is something I love to do. getting away from usual touristic spots and get involved and discovering when locals go. looking forward for more
I recently found this channel somewhere around June 2020. Instantly subbed and enjoy the recent vlogs. I am going to start from the first one and binge watch this weekend during my free time.
My memory of Mauritius was the Aussie surfers I invited aboard for beer. They would work for 3 months in WEST OZ, and spend 6 months surfing Mauritius.
I really love this channel. Like really love this. I'm so sick of being land locked, quarantined, in lockdown, and losing my constitutional rights. I need a sail boat to go vanish on!
@JP Pope I would agree with ya. But, we have 5g smart grids. Real time surveillance of all major cities and suburbs. We now have starlink as well. We have military acting as law enforcement on American soil (which is illegal because of something called Posse Comitatis). We have drone surveillance, always flying over head. Contact tracing starting, stomping on our right of privacy. The US dollar is collapsing before our very eyes, and our bill of rights suspended. Just grim times.
Hey Delos Tribe! What a fun amazing time we had during our first week in Mauritius! Thanks for your love and comments, we love hearing from you! Smokers! Loved the water 💦 world 🌎 reference!
i love your videos wish could sail with you me and my dad are interested in buying a yacht to go sailing keep up the good videos
Mate why will you take on random crew but not take on Santosh? He was in a bad situation and seemed like he really wanted to go.
Super binging on older episodes!!! Love it!
Commenting just so u can (as me :D) bing it again
Fun to go back in time and rewatch! What an epic creation you all produced over the years.
Re-watching all the old episodes again...for the third time, having been watching for nearly 7 years now and being from Ohio , I still get a kick out of seeing Bri wearing a Toledo Mudhens shirt...and I still get the same excitement/enjoyment watching them all over again and again ... !

Bitter sweet episode. It's always hard to say goodbye. You have such fantastic guests aboard Delos. It's like Delos attracts only the best in humankind. Goodbye Carmen. I could spend a lifetime with you.

3 years later, how ya doing?
It took 113 episodes to finally get some Water World jokes! YES!
Sorry to see the absolutely beautiful Carmen disembark. Wishing her all the best, as well as the remaining souls of S/V Delos!
Hey Delos crew! Long time fan and many of my friends now follow. Karen jumping off the boat in the begining, has the best "beer out of the sand" pull.. love the show, bought the T shirt.
I really loved Kiril as part of the crew. Seems like he's got a really adventurous spirit and he's down for anything.
Yo!! Love the Toledo Mudhens shirt. Home sweet home!
Yep. This is gold, especially in these times of Covid-19. Pure freedom and living the life.
Why can't I like these videos twice?
14:01 gotta love the subtle editing touches, like the music being somewhat muted while they're underwater.
Props for the Waterworld reference. That movie gets a bad rap but will always be a personal fave.
It's actually a good film and I think it even broke even...
so you have landed again, nice to see you guys in another great place... keep up your high spirits.... good luck guys....
My face hurts now. I smiled all the way through that video.
Mauritius island one of the most beautiful island and incredible friendly people, great video, many thanks sailing around the world alone.

Very nice episode.
Will miss Carmen.
14:59 - apparently filming is like riding a motorcycle, in so far as the camera ends up pointing wherever the eyes are focused.

I'm subscribing because of the water world reference. One of my all time favorite movies.
I am always sad when a crew member leaves Delos. When the crew of seven broke up a few months back I didn't think Delos would be the same again. But I've grown to love this new crew. Carmen has a wonderful quirkiness that will be missed. I wish you all the best Carmen!
