Just want to say again that Max's music was perfect for the Delos vibe and is part of why Delos was so good back in the day. They should play his music more often than they do today, in my opinion.
I watch these video 's over and over. Reminds me when I travelled also all over the world. Especially Asia. Now Im 48 and stay in Amsterdam where I born. I travelled all my life. Im glad I made beautiful trips and foto's. Glad I have no hunger to travel. But lovely crew on board. Love to see how you enjoy together. With love Vlasta Leistikow from Amsterdam The Netherlands
I've lurked so long. Watched so many of these videos and I'm just more and more stunned by what you have achieved. Incredible. Everything. The camera work. The editing. The sense for how to link a story together in an interesting way. The super-clear narration. And now I discover that much of the music was actually by Max. Is there anything this group couldn't do? Perhaps this was the best it could be. What a group you made. And of course it had to have an end some time. But while it lasted, this Indian Ocean cruise with this group of people was sensational. Now I'll buy you several beers. It's time. Thanks so much for doing this and staying true to the original ideal all this time, and never selling out.
Just finished my Delos inspired sail tour of Andaman Sea. Was sooo amazing, but a lot of the islands are invaded with tour boats....had the chance to swim the cave into Ko Muk which was amazing! Thanks for inspiring me to go to Thailand !!
I've commented before about how impressed I have been with your evolution as videographers, film producers, editors, the whole nine yards that's necessary for a high quality finished product. Congrats on yet another wonderful video. I enjoy your videos as much or more than anything I've ever seen on television in this adventure style genre. I like how you don't try and over-do your productions or get gimmicky. You keep everything simple and easy going, simply relaxing. Thank you the entire Delos crew for the simple joy you have given me with your videos.
+pete49327 Hey wow thanks for that! You know we have come sooo far and learned so much... I remember working on the first ones that were just basically still picture slide shows but to music. It was been a really wonderful evolution. I think the cool thing is with all of us editing videos we all are inspired to learn and try new things, we actually learn a lot from each other so thats really cool. Fair Winds and thanks so much for watching and letting us know! Brian
It's been since August that I haven't been sailing. I miss it so much. These last few episodes have been the pinnacle of your production. The current crew is awesome.
Another Spectacular episode of SV Delos Sailing! Delos really seems to come alive with a full crew. Many, many great shots of the daily shenanigans that happen on board. The Magnum PI shirt was rockin' as well. Thank you for sharing all your amazing adventures. Take Care.
There is a very very small minority of people who have forsaken the life that is espoused by Madison avenue and have discovered an ideal way of life that is not about things. Such is the crew of SV/Delos. Living vicariously thru your wonderful videos!
Finally made it though all your videos, sequentially. My wife is now happy she gets to see me again in the evening after leaving on a virtual sailing adventure! haha!! Honestly guys, you are living the dream that I will hopefully one day take. Thank you for opening my eyes a bit wider and showing us the little corners of the world. I've bought the sailing books and I have been reading like mad. Looking forward to more videos. Oh yes, the Copenhagen videos are super informative for the budding sailor - thanks for that. I have an old 88 Bayliner with engine troubles, this might be the ticket to finally sell her and move towards sailing!! Oh yes -- thanks for getting me into moonshine!! If I didn't already drink enough!!! LOL. May the wind always be on your backs... Keep it up guys.... Steve
+Steven Gagnon Ha Ha, what a great comment Steven! thanks for that and making us smile :) Wishing you all the best in pursuing your sailing dreams. Fair Winds- Brian
Your videos are so addictive and entertaining you guys do such a great job on them, they just keep getting better and better. Everyone really seemed energized and in extra good sprits during this video. Happy late Thanksgiving to all of you.
Im a 45 yr old single mom of a 19 yr old son and a 9 yr old daughter with special needs. My dream is to one day see "see through water". I live vicariously through you guys. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
This longer video was the tops so far. You captured all the interpersonal drama, fun and crazies plus the adventure and scenery give this vid the academy award for best documentary in the past century. Thanks much
I must admit I am hooked on your channel! What an adventure you guys have had from the very beginning! The hidden beach in this episode was awesome! Keep the videos coming!
Another most excellent account of the voyage of S/V Delos! I've watched nearly since the beginning. Seems like every episode shows a new debacle to be overcome with a smile! Rock on wit yur bad selves. Fair winds & smooth sailing!
think I've been to that cave about 14 years ago my first trip to Thailand. the guys who tuck us walked in to quick sand up to his waist!!!! Best trip I've ever been on. Roca island was great for snorkeling. love your Post's.
Every-time I watch your videos, it makes me want to do the same and get out there ....surly there are down times and ruff conditions...but it seems the good times out weigh the bad. Your making memories that will last a life time......what a life you all have....cheers...
This team is wonderful for delos,I've been repeatedly watching this serious with this team is perfect..hope you guys get back on sailing together in future..
Your beach was much better, and Delos videos are far better too :-)! Watching these I can't help thinking how the Leyden clan were so talented! I only started watching from about here on and went back to watch the early one's I'd missed afterwards, so didn't realise how much they'd been involved in Delos, life moves on but I hope everyone's still in touch occasionally, I hope they're good shared memories.
Editing on this was next level! Great work....I loved the sequence at 12:35--had a bit of a Wes Anderson Life Aquatic feel to it. Can't wait for the upcoming episodes if this is the level of quality we can expect.
Having watched all of your videos from the beginning, this is one of the most interesting videos I have viewed. It has a certain "realness" which is awesome! Keep it up!
Just finished watching #60, it was great. Whomever does the edit blows away anything coming out of Hollywood. You guys are definitely at the top of your game. Definitely becoming a Patreon after the holidays.
+Aaron Vogel Hey Aaron, thanks very much for that! Really appreciate the positive comment. We all takes turns in the editing and learn alot from each other. It's cool how everyone has a slightly different style. Fair Winds and wishing you happy holidays! Brian
I've always loved these contributions and as a fellow sailor love what you are doing. Having watched from the beginning it has been great to see you progress but truly wish you would do more of on the yacht than on the land. Some of the stuff would be greatly beneficial to wannabe sailors, like your 180deg roll out of Bundy rather than all beer and skittles. You have a wealth of knowledge to share, and all kudos to you. I couldn't be shagged going through the work you guys do so you deserve every cent you get. I just like getting through all the hard stuff to a place to relax! Keep up the great work, and a tip for you, skin your catch and use the skin instead of a lure :) You'll be amazed at your increased catch rate.
+Ben Dover Hey man, cool thanks so much for the comment! You'll be happy to hear that we have 10,000NM of Southern Indian Ocean sailing coming up so stay tuned for that :) Plenty of awesome cruising and sailing footage coming soon! Cool tip on the skin, we've drug entire body before and that really works but the skin you could actually keep in the freezer for later. Cool idea. Fair Winds! Brian
love the vids realy good editing. im jelous of how much fun all you lot have. the music always fits your vids as well. Happy sailing. keep up the good vids.
living the dream! Can't wait to sail back into the remote islands of Mergui already... and souther Thailand is always worth the visit! Keep it up, fair winds and calm seas!
I sure enjoy watching your show. It is always well put together. You should do a quick explaination on how you are able sail into the wind, on your show.
+Lazy Gecko Sailing Hey guys! Good to hear from you :) Check out svdelos.com/tidbits/required-reading/ and look under the Practical Sailing section. It's a book called The Complete Sailor. Fair winds! Brian
Thanks for another fantastic episode, its raining and cold tonight here in Northern Baja, Mexico its down to 10C 50F Brrrrrr that sun, warm water sure looks good.
One of my favourite places in the world, Phuket area. Was there in December, and visited the Phi Phi's! To avoid the masses of tourists, it's best to overnight there, and go in the morning, and maybe in late afternoon / dusk. Otherwise it's just a million speedboats and tourists.
another great movie guy's. thanks very much. everyone here has been bothering me for our next delos movie night. this one will be great. you guys rock and keep the movies coming.
They had that being young and exploring state of being you get when on vacation and totally forget about your past and regular life... On a constant level. It was infectious and spreading all over the world. Because of their flow.
Just want to say again that Max's music was perfect for the Delos vibe and is part of why Delos was so good back in the day. They should play his music more often than they do today, in my opinion.
The editing went to another level once this crew was together.

I like "Festival" as a backing track for the Delos videos. It really seems to capture the Delos spirit. Good job Max!

Its amazing how much influence a Hollywood movie can have on people, especially people in far away countries.
So happy you quoted Captain Ron. Been my favorite movie since I was only 4 years old, growing up on the water in our Nauticat.
