Finally got around to watching this. The only thing I knew coming in was “Olwyn. She hungers.” I gotta say, the plot here was great. Loved the foreshadowing leading up to the Olwyn reveal, the recurring Stevens, the tragedy of Ty. We laughed, we cried, we met Olwyn. Truly an incredible film. A masterpiece, even.
I'd have to agree. The subtlety of the character work perfectly juxtaposed with the more comedic elements but still managed its core themes and tones in a thoughtful, yet inventive, way. I think this is one of Kevin's best works, the Take Me Out Cinematic Universe is really coming along!

Anybody who uses a loofa is a sucker, and in general there is a huge imbalance with hygiene. People tend to do either way too little, or way too much, and rarely in between. I got the feeling some of the girls don’t like a guys looks but try and find a different reason. I don’t think it would make anyone feel less bad.
I imagine the problem was something like this: when it was said he stays friends with his exes, all the women who didn't like that peaced out, while the ones remaining were fine with it/liked it. Then when the friend says he burns bridges any of the remaining women who liked that he was friends with exes dipped out. It's like if somebody announced that there was free tacos, and after everyone showed up specifically for free tacos they were all "actually, it's not tacos, it's spaghetti". The ones who showed up for tacos were more likely to peace out, but then it turns out that it was actually tacos after all but the only people remaining were the ones who were just there for food in general.

Anybody who uses a loofa is a sucker, and in general there is a huge imbalance with hygiene. People tend to do either way too little, or way too much, and rarely in between.
People want to super overload on soap in the shower, stripping their poor skin dry, but then not wash the tops of their hands after going to the bathroom, making the tops of hands statistically the dirtiest part of the hand. Moreso than under fingernails.
