You have to clear it manually because it still save the codes as memory codes,it doesnt clear itself. If you dont have a scanner to clear codes. Go to oreily or autozone store ask them to run the codes and clear it for free.

Can you disconnect the battery to clear the code after replacing both like in the video

You can. Sometime work sometime don't work. Go to oreilly or autozone store and ask them to clear the check engine light for free.
