Boy, Seinfeld was way ahead of its time. While I am sure this (people walking in on you while you are pleasuring yourself) has been happening since time immemorial, Seinfeld brought it to us in the funniest way possible.
Not only is this funny it is extremely relatable in ways that only the person who relates to it can understand. So in different ways indeed bringing different types of joy to different types of people. Wow they knew how to relate to the mass audience back then. Well done!!
I think every guy can relate to George here. I remember the first time I got caught by my mom; to say it was awkward after would be an understatement lol.
George's mother reminds me of my mom. The way she flips from motherly to angry and back has always been maddening. But she's from oldschool NYC and I'm from SoCal, so huge difference.
I miss this show so much, this one was def a classic. I remember clearly Kramer busting in the room and slamming the money on the table yelling "well, I'm out!"

Julia almost loses it with one of her infamous laughing fits and jason clearly ad libs the line "it's not funny elaine" they both kinda break characters but it still works so they left it in which makes it awesome, note jerry almost losing it himself after this exchange.

Estelle Harris said she laughed for a half-hour when Jason Alexander tossed her those Tic-Tacs.
ROTFLMAO!!! I positively LOSE IT every time I watch that scene--(George Constanza's finest moment!!)
Jason ad libbed that line. They kept it in thankfully.
George's impression of his mother is awesome. You can truly appreciate the ludicrousy of the scene while being spared the actual visual! 😂
if you dont get visuals from what he said, you might be lacking imagination. In this case, its probably for the best.

I love this scene, especially when Estelle says "I go out for a quart milk, I come home and find my son treating his body like it was an amusement park" just cracks me up every time
I mean, you have to know that she said she went out for a quart of milk, not a "quarter milk," right?
She said in an interview she asked the writers what this meant. This makes it even funnier to me.
And exactly the type of hilarious piece of writing that went away when the show became all about gimmicky storylines after Larry David's exit.

Estelle was such an amazing character. Every second she was in an episode was pure gold!

I agree! Side note, love your recipe videos 👍🏼
How did she not win an Emmy is beyond me.
With Kramer on this show I know it's a hit

There is a blooper reel from that scene.
That's because Julia wasn't supposed to be laughing anymore. She broke and that line was George saving the scene
