His willingness to go all out no matter which direction they moved George is what made the show imho. Well, that and the immense gallery of stunning supporting cast over the years. Perfect show.

i've just started watching the series recently, and it's very strange to see these clips from later seasons; George was a fairly intelligent guy in the first/second seasons, now he comes off as an idiot basically. He was also slimmer, almost kinda handsome. Kramer also seems a bit different. But anyway, I absolutely love the series so far (will finish the second season soon), it's just interesting to catch glimpses of how the characters (d)evolved.

I don't know anyone who still watches Cheers, although that is a great show. For Friends, people love it, but it's clearly a 90's-00's show and will likely have a similar following to Cheers. Ultimately, Seinfeld will stand the test of time.
