Another ace vlog, always so much to see. The scenery is different and nice to see. Glad you made that turn, I was “aaaaaaah, whew, you made it!” Good show! Cheers, Brian.
Your vlogs keep getting better. You had everything in this one. The maps, reading the signs, and the comments you put on the screen. All good stuff. Add the walks and scenery, and you made 25 minutes pleasurable. Cheers mate
I absolutely love riding shotgun on this trip with you Will, and to think all those troubles on the Huddersfield Narrow has led you to these wide open waters, it must feel a bit like navigating, manoeuvring through a cramped wardrobe, only to emerge the other side of it, in a different world ;) Best wishes matey.
Interesting that the East Coast Mainline bridge is part of the Selby Diversion, opened in 1983 and paid for by the National Coal Board. Nice cruise; the footpath edit makes it look like you only found your way back next morning! Loved the Yorkshire Tagger sketch too.
Did I write noises instead of nosey? You know when you look at a word and just can't remember while editing. I need to correct that. Those sheep looked at me funny..Couldn't risk it...ha ha Thanks Carmen..
A nice cruise around a narrow bend and through a narrow lock, across a narrow bridge down a narrow lane, passed a narrow boat then follow the leader. Will, come on, speed up we dont want to come last. That could've been a gaggle of reformed taggers painting that fence, bless them. I dont know if you should have a nonreturn valve in that line. Either way it can cause you problems, vacuum or pressure??? I do hope it works, have fun and keeeeep chugging, no, and take care. ( How is our Shui Cassie Wilson? I haven't seen one of her lovely Home inTaiwan vlogs for a while. I do like the food one's, especially with her mum helping with the dumplings, they are great to make, the whole family can help. Then eat, have fun, play cards and other games. But showing us around her town is great also. Take care Shui.) Just read Four Twos and Alf. Exactly my concern, it could cause a tank rupture, hoses to split etc.
Hello Phillip. Shui is spending time out of the heat in air con buildings. It's to hot to go outside. She coming back soon. I'll get her on the boat at some point. I've removed that valve after what you guys have also thought about pressure build up. I've now put gauze in the end and that's it now. I've ran the engine hard for hours up the tidal Ouse and it's fine. The idea is still evolving. I think it's ok now. It needs to breath both ways. Reformed taggers ha ha made me laugh. They looked pretty old. You have a wonderful evening uncle Phillip.
I missed an episode, I managed to catch covid when I was on the back of WillsWay the other day. I'm fine apart from aches and pains, sore throat, lots of chesty phlem, headache, sore eyes and teeth, and fallin asleep when watching something and RUclips just keeps playing them one after another, and they disappear. Well I spotted what you were doing with the valve and just said I didnt think it was a good idea. Then read what Two and a Alf said. Narrow boat fuel tanks have got thick skins, not like cars, but I have seen car tanks split open, and one suck in and collapse. With covid over here, we have to quarantine at home for a week, so I've only got tomorrow left, but I'm still sore, phlemy and falling asleep.I keep nodding off, bye Will.
Hi Will, my first post to anyone - you are honoured!! The flower on the edge of the canal would have been a Skunkweed, I think. Loves wet and marshy lands. Keep up the good vlogs.
Hi again Will, I had a look on OS maps at those narrow points with water either side. One of them is called Lund tunnel, so I think it's where a stream passes under the canal.
Another great vlog you breezed round that bend. It’s a bit of complication with these blockages and closures isn’t it. Thought they would of had them sorted by now. Take care.
A stoppage can happen at anytime Caroline. Somebody damages a lock so it may be closed for weeks so you have turn around and find another way. Tree falls or canal breach low water levels. So many things can happen. I'm used to it now. Thanks again for watching.
For a project you should look up 18650's Li Cells for power, and build a power wall on your boat. Hint usually used laptop cell packs are free. and you can do this in your spare time for a great end result. Currently i have 1120 cells, that is two banks boiled down to 24 volts. and i have not paid out anything for this 12 kw of power. Jist sayin. Just maybe if narrowboaters can get this itch they would not spend so much on batteries. CCHHEERRSSSSS
Wow that sounds amazing. It would be a nightmare getting all that stuff delivered. I have enough trouble getting a parcel from a friend that's gone missing. The post in the UK isn't has reliable now. I will look into it because that stuff interests me. Thankyou.
LOL! You went for a "noisey"... How loud was the walk around? Had you gone for a nose (nosey) around, it would have been tranquil. Your humor and character voices cracks me up every time. Cheers for beers from me here. SF
My nosey is big enough so it gets there before I do, Ha ha. Beautiful area I'm always happiest in nature. I'm on a river now and I haven't seen a boat or person for days. Love it...Thankyou Sebastian. I'm glad you get my humour....
I just set up my next project and snapped a pic. Was going to send it to you but my search for an email was dashed. Thought you might want to take a look see at the latest bank of 18650's. It's set up for 24v but i am upgrading to 48v. CCHHEERRSSSSS
Don't make vlogs don't have a channel. This is a privet project just thought i would share , but thats ok , not a problem. Not all followers are producers. Some of us electro geeks keep a low profile. Sorry. I'll stick to talking about PUGS with the other Pirates.
Hi Will another great video. I have just one question regarding the little valve you show at the start, that you describe as a one way valve. You say it will let air in which is good as it prevents a vacuum in the tank as you use the fuel. But you say it will not let fuel out. OK, but will it let air out? Thermal expansion of the fuel and air in your tank as it gets warm on hot sunny days can cause a pressure build up in the tank and has the potential to cause damage to the tank itself and /or pressurise your fuel system in the low pressure side which may result in leaks split pipes or hose etc. I would hate for any damage to occur to your tank or fuel system, as it only takes a small rise in pressure for issues to occur. Just a thought. Keep them coming. Filthy thumbs up.
Yeah I sat and thought about the old vent which let air in and out and then I thought to myself when I'm filling up or like you say it gets hot where will the gases go. I've taken it off now and put some gauze in the end. My tank is usually pretty full and when the boats rocking side to side it needs to breath. I'm sure another solution will present itself in due course. Good thinking from a fellow filthy fumbs upper...ha
Nice one Will looks like a river hope ya well and good .kids doing there tags they tag anywhere no respect BLOODY KIDS I sound like a right old fart I like good art graffiti .they shud be given old walls subways and that to do it in there’s properly loeds of budding Banksys out there cheers Will staysafe dude 🙂🔧⛳️✌️
Yeah I love good art and graffiti has a history especially in Germany during the war. There's some fantastic art in Leicester city. Have yourself a great day Lee.
Love the narrative on defacing property with paint and receiving a thick ear from all and sundry 😂The thing to do was put someone’s name on who you didn’t like 😂
Can you imagine that happening then. Kids were working just to eat. Kids have got it easy now this is why they're going astray they want to follow strong roll models but we haven't got any. Thankyou Tony and goodnight...
Hope you not going through Thorne because Thorne Lock is closed until 27th May due to having 4 new lock gates on it because I am one of the lock keepers there
Selby made famous by being the site of the biggest train crash in Great Britain where a sleepy driver in a land drover with a trailer with a car on the back plunged down the embankment onto the rails of the main line railway between Scotland and England. The train hit the car and derailed. Then it hit another goods train coming the other way. Load of people died. The driver of the car ended up only doing 3 years because he didn't cause the crash with the goods train. Is that real justice. Sad but True 😎😎😎

Good show! Cheers, Brian.
Ha ha it was close getting in that lock. It's almost like I know what I'm doing. Ha . It's a beautiful stretch of water. Have a great day Brian.

Ahhh bless your hearts. Thanks for watching you two. Enjoy the weather.
I do enjoy your videos Will, thank you for sharing them.
You're very welcome Philip. Enjoy the day.

I'm in boating heaven compared to the shallows. I can't tell you how magic the rivers are especially the Derwent. Stunning. I'm very lucky. Take care

Ha ha I think I ran out of space on my phone or I wondered around all night I can't remember. Thanks for the info...thanks for watching buddy.

Ahhh it's my pleasure Kat. Have lovely eve/morn/day. Whatever, ha
Great stuff, looking forward to seeing the Ripon canal.

Nice run into that Lock Will👍🏼
You beauty ripper.
Hi again Will, I had a look on OS maps at those narrow points with water either side. One of them is called Lund tunnel, so I think it's where a stream passes under the canal.
You are correct Simon. They're flood channels. That just shows it floods around there often. Have yourself a wonderful day/eve.

Them big boats fit under the bridges if they let their tires down a bit
Ha ha yeah...I feel deflated now..

That bridge is to stop people stealing the cows and stop people like me who are a bit on the larger size from scrumping 😂😂
I used to scrump all the time when I was younger. Can't beat a juicy sweet apple Lewis but to many makes Jack have the s..ts...ha ha

Hi Will, Oil seed rape or Canola if you prefer 👍
Oil seed rape not rape seed oil. Ahhh still not a nice word is it? Thankyou for that Simon..
