- Bolt Action Battle Report: Operation Oppenheimer, Capture the Uranium.
USA Rangers vs Soviet Partisansforce in a race to collect vital uranium deposits for the war effort and to help be the first to build ‘the bomb’.
This week Mark joins me for an all out fight for the Uranium objective in the centre of the board… the rules are simple, be within 3 inches and keep your opponent away to win.

Marks skillfully designed force sees a huge Soviet Partisans force take to the field inorder to caputre the uranium and prevent the US Army rangers from getting their hands on it for Dr Oppenheimer. With lots of troops the Soviets are pulling anyone they can find to the front to this ‘what if’ battle.
Another great battle, fantastic board and a few laughs and banter along the way…
…but who will win, watch and see!

15:24 Dog playing in the garden; roll off with 2 dice, one plays with the dog and the other goes out and gets the beer. At the return of the beer getter the dog will be sufficiently knackered to carry the game on.

@@theministryofminiatures BTW I've seen several other videos on this and they seem to feel that the same order has to apply through each set of 3 phases. No idea whether that is true or not.

Would of used my mortar against the M3 halftrack and so either force it to move and possibly get within Panzerfaust range or to have the move and fire penalty. I usually try that every time I see a Universal/ halftrack on the board as being open top they are very vulnerable with medium or heavy mortar fire.

The flame is a large paper clip, straightened and cut at exactly 6inches. Glue to pill base, the hot glue the flames etc. paint white, yellow, orange and red, then add a little black smoke fluff on top… they look great 👍🏻
The explosions are a mix of Warlords Cruel seas and home made…
These were lengths of sprue glued onto 40mm base, then stick lots of fluff (I used blended dish cloth) or flock… seal with watered PVA. Then spray black and dry brush on some red and yellow bits for the flames at the heart of the explosion 💥
