GROCERY HAUL - Large Australian Family of 18

- THIS IS NOT A WEEKLY SHOP!!
We stockpile and buy to fill the pantry and freezer.
WE DO NOT EAT ALL THIS IN JUST ONE WEEK!!
This started out as just an "essentials" grocery shop but turned into something a little bit bigger
hahahaha
We bought a lot of treats and some new snacks to try out because they were on 1/2 price specials (most got frozen and used in the coming weeks)
Come see more of our BIG family @

"Just the essentials"
= Buys the store out
hahahahaha!!!!
At least she gets fruits and veggies….check out the Dougherty Dozen if you want to see waste!
i really need to know why i’m watching this 😂🤣
Zana Redzovic I’m watching because I can’t get over the horror of 18 people
@ "horror" is a bit rough - imagine what it's like to have this many people in your life that you can trust, that love you, support you, can help you, talk to you, laugh together, they 'have your back always' and encourage you - it's an amazing blessing. And one that I wish most people could experience.
@@TheBonellFamily An Aussie large family!!! Yay!❤❤ I'm often watching American large family grocery hauls. This is very educational for me, lots of ideas.I have 6 kids (I love it of course), but I get a lot of negativity, so I can only imagine what you guys receive when people discover your family size. But it really is such a blessing ❤ Merry Christmas🌲🎅
@ No worries, I take no offense ;-) It is one big crazy beautiful blessed challenging household for sure hahaha and yes it would be completely overwhelming to someone who has no children. :-)
@@TheBonellFamily I like the idea
Mum: Just an essentials shop
Also mum: buys 192 sausages
Yea you can tell their just bullshitting it more to get "extra views" and "shock value". Its good thing youtube pays a few thousand after a certain amount views! If its not the Government supporting them "lets try out youtube"
Alright yeah but they are a family of 18 and maybe most of the kids like sausages so they are just taking care of theirs kids ig? lol idk but fr
Who the hell counts the sausages😂😂😂
FOR THE FAMILY DISH “noodle weenie dogs”
Bean Mouse yeah but that’s 10 pretty big hot dogs per week. That’s atrocious for an adult, never mind little kids...
as a coles cashier, i have some tips
1. go at night, we're bored, we'll strike up a conversation plus a lot of the staff will be friendlier
2. sort your cold stuff into one spot preferably at the front it just makes it easier for us and quicker for you
3. bbq chickens get cheaper the later it gets (i scored a $3 after my shift once)
4. oh my god please use your flybuys i cant imagine how many points you have
i agreeee
If they came within the last hour of closing, NO ONE would be friendlier than normal. We would fucking hate it. There's only two people working at that time, and we'd want to kill them haha. We aren't bored at night, we have so much to do to close the store!
Yes sort the colds it's so much better for everyone involved, even sort jars and heavy things from the biscuits etc.
YES FLYBUYS! Flybuys deals are fucking awesome and of used right can save so much. I do a $120 shop but split it between Coles and woolies so I’m currently getting 10,000 points for spending $60 over 4 weeks at Coles which is only half my shop
@@Lauren-vj6mc I think maybe what she means is going at midnight because coles near my house opens at 0
Imagine working at coles, not Woolies
I love how the daughter refers to her siblings as “ the kids”
HardHead Nic I only have a younger brother (13) and sister (17) and I always refer to them as “the kids” 😂😂
My oldest sister does that to my siblings and I
HardHead Nic lol! I have a sister and refer as the baby still. She’s 21!
I only refer to my youngest two as 'the kids' the older two are 'the boys'
Why is that so nice.? It's normal. Nothing to get excited about
Mom, what’s for dinner?
Mom: hot dogs.... Forever.
Amy Petrie they were beef sausages
Mum*
Processed junk🤦♂️
Light Owl no it’s called food! When you live in a large family that’s what you have to do! It’s expensive to do it any other way! So you can either help them out money wise to buy food other then “processed junk” or you can shut the fuck up and scroll in
@@ihegge I'm with you 👩
I wanna see you stack the fridge lol
Why ? You are weird.
@@Monkey90210 how is that weird? tbh that would be less weirder than watching a family grocery shop
I wonder what the holidays look like in your house!
"Holidays" as in Christmas etc? We have a few videos up from previous years. Hope you enjoy watching them :-)
The Bonell Family yes! Sounds great, now I know what channel I’m going to binge watch today!!
They must spend a fortune!
Lilly Hefren right? 🤣
They get the good hot dogs. 😉
Well, someone has to populate Australia😜
16 children is crazy, you should have a farm and grow your own food👍🏻
@Ben's Views Government stops paying after 12 lol
most definitely most of the food we buy in stores are not healthy.
Ben's Views with a house like that the government won’t give them any money. They obviously earn too much money for government handouts. Besides I rather my tax money go to this nice family then in the hands of junkies and prime ministers who don’t care about our country
Mel Crisp Centrelink family tax benefit pays till kids are 16.....they would be getting a gigantic payment. 16 kids tho, one on one time would be rare
@@Johnathonsmum that's not true.
It’s so nice seeing folks from different parts of the country doing hauls and seeing the stores and prices are totally different from the states.
Right! My thoughts exactly. I also like watching the brisitsh shows life is so diffrent not in the state's it wild
different parts of the world u mean
I know those hot dogs said two for four
the hot dogs are definitely not two for four
I'll do one in New Zealand :) for you
where are the reuseable bags?! itll save you loads in the long run!
im pretty sure in most shops they are banned now
@@funnyanimals5378 the reusable bags are banned or the plastic?
Those bags are reusable and biodegradable 😊

The most realistic shop I have seen in a while - thank you for sharing
From a fellow Aussie, It's so nice to see a grocery haul at a familiar supermarket and with products and prices that are familiar!
I myself really appreciate seeing this video. I wish people would not judge so harshly without knowing anything about your family. This is a true to life shopping haul, not some fake nutritious haul to make viewers feel good and not make rude comments. I so enjoy seeing how mature and caring your daughter is. That shows you have standards and are raising amazing children. You can honestly tell how much she loves you. Its the small things in life that matter. God bless you and your precious family! Thank you again for tolerating the rude, nasty, condescending behind the keyboard big mouths. You're a wonderful mother and it shows in the respect your daughter gives to you.
I agree. I also have seen comments about their family size. I must have missed the part where she asked opinions about how many children she should have.
while people shouldn’t be so rude they really should take a second look at their food choices because a few snacks is ok but that’s all they were buying and that’s very bad for growing kids and causes many health problems! If you followed me into the store without me knowing you would see me buying one snack food with sugar in it and the rest fruit! I have 6 kids and I’m not a stuck up super nutritious freak but I am concerned about what my kids eat and try to keep the processed food down to a bare minimum, all the hot dogs and “chicken patties” and packaged food but hardly no fruits and vegetables compared to all the junk. It looked like they got 10X more junk food than nutritious food. I just don’t get how someone can knowingly feed their children all that crap!
@@amber_Forever16 OK, she answered this in a video but I thought you.might not have seen it so I'll tell you about it. This is a stock up haul, not a weekly haul or whatever you were thinking. So, like, those aren't hotdogs, they're beef sausages. As in bratwurst. When they eat that, they eat one per person, so they use 18 and freeze the rest for other meals. When they eat chocolate, they eat it once a week and only four squares of chocolate per person and freeze the rest for later. When eating biscuits, they eat two biscuits each and save the rest. And so on. They aren't munching on cookies everyday, all day, they have small portions of it. It just looks like a lot because they stock up on it.
If you go on their chanbel you'll see a vegetable haul. They buy vegetables at a specialty shop, like a farmer's market. They also have a few videos with their actual meals in it and you can see that they do eat lots of vegetables and small portions. I know, because you see this all at once, it looks like they eat a bunch of junk all the time but it doesn't seem to be the truth at all.
Newbie here. don't like rude comments about what someone gets or spend for their groceries, unless judgmental people decide they are going to foot the bill, just shush I say so you do you Bonell Family!
Love how the not so private thing comments above speaking about what u should and shouldn't feed children, when she subscribes to bhad bhabie and creepy pasta.
I love the morals of the food police 😂 you're a litteral JOKE!
i can imagine how good your kids lunch boxes look
actually really healthy, with some snacks too of course (because life is short and it's ok to have some treats) ;-) haha
The Bonell Family some treats? Y’all bought nothing but treats in this haul 😂
@@amber_Forever16 but there's 16 kids and this isn't a weekly thing. They buy lots of fruits and vegetables in specialty shops, too. Not everyone has the mentality of eating what they have in the house just because they have it.
imagine getting ready for school in the morning
Imagine buying school clothes for this Army of Kids and Shoes?? What a Nightmare!!!
Its weird and cool seeing the different foods that we don't have in the U.S.A. 😎
I think that’s how Aussies feel about the USA too!!
Same goes for us in NZ . I buzz out at the foods the US and Aus have
Yeah I'm an aussie and I went to the USA earlier in the year and I was really overwhelmed by all of the different food you guys have - there were so many brands I didn't recognise. I became a fan of Cheez-its - we don't have those here. Ruffles were nice too.
@@BallantyneFilms. Yum Cheez-its. They have been around a long time. I remember my mom would get them as a treat.
Likewise I like seeing US brands!
I can see so many ways to save money here...
same like grow your own vegs for one
@@roxyhaze6955 So much processed food.! Its gonna take longer and be more expensive to cremate them with all those preservatives in their bodies.Their insides will be like Maccas burgers lol
@@debbiemohekey1509 true.
so much sugar and not a huge amount of vegies for a family of 18. Get your kids baking biscuits,
Debbie Mohekey yes I was surprised at all the processed foods, even the meat they bought was processed and all that sugar holy crap! I bought more veggies for my 6 kids for one week than they did for 16 kids! 2 sweet potatoes? One bag of russets and one bag of carrots like what? It’s obvious that they just want very quick meals and don’t want to prep. she needs to start thinking about their health, what’s going to happen if God forbid something happens to one of the parents
When they said coles I thought they said Kohl’s
I was like what are they doing grocery shopping at Kohl’s 🤦🏻♀️
I’ll see myself out
hahahaha
Sammee
I totally thought that too 😂
Same same😂😂😂
Same!!!!
Watching the sausages and I’m like 4 - cool, 6 - oh they would be stopping now, 8 - mind blown 😂😂
Also I’m hella jealous. My local Coles is ALWAYS out of Hamburger buns!
I feel bad for the cashier... I’m a cashier and I would cry😂😂💞
It takes a while so I always end up having a really good chat with the checkout person HAHAHA!!!!!!
Big shops are my favourite!
In Sweden we pack our groceries ourselves. The cashier just checks them out. And a lot of grocery stores have "self checkout", so you swipe your membership card or id when you go in, grab a scanner and a cart and start shopping. Then you just swipe your card again on the way out and pay for your stuff. No cashier involved except for a few "random" checks.
Im a cashier and i love this, makes time go quicker
Mary Dellomas why feel bad for them... it’s their job?
Hey maybe you already do this but for condiments like tomato and bbq sauce. Buy the 2litre bottles and refill the small bottles with the large one 👍🏻.
That's what l do.
Great minds 😊
Living alone and still watching this. I am just imagining how hard it is to cook 3 meals everyday for 18 people
“ I’ll keep making the money while you keep spending it “ my dad says the exact same thing lol and there are only 4 people In my family
Can you Imagine Ole Dad having to pay Child Support?? He is Stuck with this Brewed for Eternity!!!
Looks like my shopping when I go for cat litter and toilet paper lol
crochet Makes me happy ii
crochet Makes me happy: Same here!! Walk out 50 bucks lighter as well.☺
Meee toooo!!! Walk in for milk and bread and walk out with $100 in crap😪
I buy the large bottles of sauce and jut put it into the smaller bottles so much cheaper.
How fun is their mom daughter relationship ??!! Love the moms little chuckle!
I've heard that food in Australia is really expensive. Feeding a family of 18 must cost a lot. And Christmas shopping would bankrupt a family.
some of our food prices are certainly going up, due to our drought conditions. We so badly need rain here
That wouldve cost about $800-$1000 in New Zealand. Our food is expensive, New Zealand lamb, milk & other products are cheaper to buy in Australia then here!
wpl minimum wage is higher and tax (gst) is included in the initial price not added on at the end
It’s not expensive but it’s not cheap
The Bonell Family stop buying so much plastic and you’ll get rain
Hello from the US🙋🏾♀️. It was funny when your husband said he will just keep making the money so you can spend it.
So neat to see a haul from Australia. Thanks!
You should invest in reusable bags. Every effort to save the planet counts.
Lynn Olson She birthed 16 individual carbon footprints into the world, reusable bags ain't gonna do much to help at this point
Those are reusable bags. Coles phased out single use bags in Australia
Your own cloth bags!! My friends is that what you meant Lyyn?? In Spain you have to pay for any bag you need when buying your groceries .. So you better bring your owns.
Those bags are reusable. We all have to use them in Australia. Sh is swag the planet as they are also biodegrade 🤦🏻♀️
They already have 16 kids that puts enough strain on the planet. She should have keept her legs closed after the 3rd one or so. THis is plain stupid.
Your daughter is an absolute gem! It drives me nuts when people say boys are easier to raise..
I have a brother and that's the biggest lie I've ever heard
@@deeehi3 in my family all the boys are the biggest trouble makers!
Imagine saving food in the fridge just to have one of your 16 siblings eat it 😂
I think they ask if they can eat things.
Love how you shop!! Good ideas.
I loved how the kids helped with the shopping looks like a close family ❤️❤️
What a mature daughter you have ! Love to see a close nit family much love from the states hope you all are staying healthy over there ❤️

Hi, I really enjoyed your grocery shop and look forward to seeing more from the USA.
I hope you and your fantastic family enjoy all the amazing foods that you bought. I love watching grocery haul videos they inspire me so much
My fave part about this is seeing what they buy generic coles brand vs. brand name. Like, “yes we need to save money because we’re a big family but I’ll be damned if I have biscuits that aren’t Arnotts and home brand weet bix” because like lol same.
Ghee she could have saved so much money it hurts my soul to see this
Wow I’m not sure how this popped up all of the sudden but I love your channel. I’m from Texas and it’s very cool to see the differences here and there. You guys are too sweet.
Hi there. I'm from the USA and really enjoyed this vlog. It was fun. Going shopping with you. Nice to see what sorts of things you buy for your meals. Look forward to the next one. Blessings...

Your father is so Australian and I love it
Well I’m from Australia as I’m used to these things!! I love you guys
I can’t believe that with 16 kids they still buy the cup noodles haha, so so so much cheaper to buy it in packets
Maby to save on the amount of dirty dishes imagine the amount of dirty dishes they have daily id be crying
@@kimberlycortez515 Unless they get themselves a dish washer or two.
@@kimberlycortez515 serious they would have a dishwasher especially in Australia 😂 we don't live in the dark ages 😂
Kimberly Cortez it literally takes 5 minutes to load a dishwasher especially if people rinse out their dish after eating and the way that house looks I’m sure she makes them do that and I’m sure with that many kids the kids have a chore or two and get the house clean very quick!
I’m from Australia as well. I reccomend going to Costco as they have bulk for the same price (most time)
I have never seen a Costco in Australia in my life.
Boop I’m in QLD and there’s like 2 near me. (I think) there is one at north lakes which is 47 minutes away excluding traffic
@@aiyanarxse9142 lucky!

@@deeehi3 yeah that’s legit what I have to do if I wanna go to Costco but it is worth it because everything is like double the size for the same price 😂 therefore going to coles every week (obviously for like everyday things like toilet paper, eggs, milk) but like the big things like snacks, laundry stuff, etc
As an only child I would love to spend a day in the life of your family, so interesting!
I love how much I can relate to the kind of food here
Oh wow I love the containers of the barbecue sauce tomato sauce love just love that USA here

Twiggy sticks and Loo Paper....I've learned a lot today.

Omg I love watching your groceries hauls just to see what I miss from back home ....Been living in America for 15 years and still miss all the food from back home .
I love 💕 how you show the inside of the grocery store and what you do- especially in 2020 when we don’t really go to the grocery store in my house and have everything delivered to to pandemic.
*Yay! I found an Australian family channel*
I just came across your video , I like seeing people with big families . I come from a big family not that big but big enough . I’m in the US . Love watching your video on the different foods and prices wow what a difference in prices than here . We have a couple friends out that way they told us stuff is pretty expensive. Hopefully the wages are higher too so you can afford it lol if not a person would really struggle specially with a big family . Yikes . 10.50 for a thing of chicken patties wow yeah I’d raise my own chickens if I lived there . Which is what I do here in the US we have our own chickens and turkeys and stuff but we do buy some things from the store too but I wouldn’t pay for it if it was that high .Yikes . Very interesting to see all the cool prices and different foods you got there . I can’t wait to see more videos on meeting your family and all the children . I love watching the other ladies that have a lot of kids too on here . They are very lovely families. ❤️❤️❤️👍. Hope you all have a beautiful thanksgiving day coming up from my family to yours
Love seeing the different things and prices there. So much cheaper than here, even with exchange.
I came from a family with 11 kids...we had a huge garden, blanched and froze peas beans and carrots. Made our own pickles and jam and 12 loaves of bread a week. Bought a beef a year and my dad cut it and wrapped and froze it. This is how you eat GOOD for you foods
From an Aussie living in France , love seeing the supermarket haul and all the food I miss thank you!🙂
How is france
I’ve learnt that buying fruit and veg that is in seasons reduces my shopping bill. This will allow you to buy more of it. I only buy summer fruit like water melon and strawberries at that time of the year and more apples, pears and greens in the colder months. Small tip from the UK. Lots of love 🧡
I love your videos it is the epitome of my childhood. I grew up one of 7 and 8 in the fam. The kid that got the job of unpacking the shopping or doing all the school lunches for the younger kids hated there life on that day hahahahha. Watching all the kids carry in the groceries was like watching my childhood. We were only allowed coco pops on weekends 😭 Mum also cooked the exact same quick and easy meals as you. We didn't get sausages or frankfurts much but every dinner was either marinated chicken like honey mustard with rice or just chicken/meat with veggies or the iconic spag bowl. Gotta love Aussie life !
i don’t understand why people are complaining about the food she has brought or the money she could save or the amount of kids she has. 1. having 18 mouths to feed is expensive so things like sausages are an amazing way to save $$$ on meals as they can be used multiple ways & also what does it matter what the eat, you aren’t eating it so what’s the issue🤷🏻♀️ Aldi isn’t always cheaper & coles you can get some great discounts or fly buy points which are amazing for end of year purchase as like christmas etc. AND 3. what does it matter how many kids they have, they look damn happy and loving.
People are so quick to judge any little thing
Why not shop at ALDI??? It will save you heaps!
Yumna H یمنہ no it’s not
They would legit save hundreds each shop, we do 90-95% of our shop at Aldi and then top up at either Coles or Woolies on things Aldi doesnt stock. We save $150-200 a week for a family of 6 ( 4 teenagers). I believe she said she spent $500+, would only be $200-250 at Aldi.... but maybe they dont have one nearby?
Is aldi in Australia?
I was thinking the same.. and then realized ALDI doesn't have everything that Coles/ Woolies has..
no idea where they are in australia but we don't have aldi in my state, so they might just not have one available to them
Thanks for sharing and would love to see a cooking video, currently I enjoy watching family of Amy’s 13, especially when she’s doing a large amount of freezer meals. 👍🏻👍🏻💜🤗❤️👵🏼

I work check out in a supermarket and I can same I get shops like this just about everyday! Love these shoppers because they usually always have their shopping organised (colds, meats, fruit, heavys and smellys) I usually clear them in under 5mins 😂 don’t get much of a chat with that but it’s good to get them out quickly as some other customers get mad that they are behind big shoppers 😂 my big shoppers usually don’t do flybuys or our promotions because they hate holding people up, I just loudly say “it’s fine take your time, the other customers can wait” cause I wanna make sure they get those points 😱 sooooo many points and stickers (promotion) with those shops!!
