A soft classic (I think!) here: I found this so engaging!! The way you drew connections between Judy and Liza was so interesting... I love how you prioritise the importance of femme people connecting with their body and physical essence (even through healing) and that inspires me too, even though the gamine-specific points aren't specifically relevant to me xx

I am definitely a firecracker for sure. People do tell me I’m wise and very witty, yet they see me as innocent too. I cannot decide if I’m SG or pure G. I tend to be drawn to soft gamine elements like hair that is shoulder length rather than a boyish pixie. It’s definitely not my style. The more i try to understand my color palette and what clothing work work best with my lines, I agree with you, I start to really enjoy seeing myself and I am loving my body more. Thanks for the video!!!

Thank you for the video. I definitely found this video helpful. I know for sure I am in the gamine family. Body wise I think I lean more flamboyant with long arms, and narrow and long hands and feet. Curve wise I think the only gamine I look more like are the Olsen twins, but they are soft gamines while I have the long limbs. What throws me off is my face. I have full lips, dimples, full cheeks, soft nose that is more like a soft natural's nose, pointy chin, but rounded not square. My body is more look like a flamboyant, but my face looks like a soft gamine. Personality does not help either. I am not bold. I am mostly reserved until you really really know me. And people have said that I give off a soft, natural, calm vibe. This becomes hard in figuring out clothes because geometric, asymmetrical shapes and silhouettes look off on me. It's almost like I need to lean more soft in shapes and fabrics like a soft gamine even though my body is flamboyant. SO.... the end of your video spoke to me that that's okay. So I might not fit in a gamine subgroup, but the lessons from both gamine groups can help me express myself. So thank you 😊

Just finding this video, and I really relate to the ‘soft yang’ flamboyant gamine than the sharp dramatic flamboyant gamine. It’d be great if you could share a bit more light on this. I used to discard flamboyant gamine because it’s often perpetuated as being ‘little dramatics’ and so instead always travelled between soft gamine and soft natural. I was however instinctively dressing one day and I remember something innately about my body resonating with the look that felt flamboyant gamine. It was neither sharp or yin (aside from the usual accommodation of gamine petite). Think the classic Audrey clingy silhouette of a black turtle neck with cuffed wrists and neck, and cuffed black jeans then paired with a medium-ly chunky but relatively lightweight cropped boxy vest in a contrasting colour. I felt hip without having to try hard and now I don’t know what to think about it 😅 I’m also reminded of the comparison Kibbe made in his book between the flamboyant natural and the flamboyant gamine. What might your thoughts be on this?

This was such an interesting video! I'm definitely a Gamine but I too am kind of torn between FG and SG. I think I might lean more to being an FG!

Very nice an informative video. I think that this actually help me , I was once typed as soft gamine but it still looks slightly off. I think that I’m actually a flamboyant gamine .

I'm stuck between these 2 by a year now, i dont know if i can be a flamboyant because i have a extremely angular bones but with a soft flesh, will this lead me to a soft gamine just because of flesh ? (sorry about my english btw)

I see myself more as a FG, but I don't really vibe with the style recommendations. My shoulders are wider than my hips and I always dress with an intention of hiding that. If I was to follow Kibbe's recommendations I would have to embrace it and I don't want to. I don't like it and I don't want to draw attention to it, I want to continue dressing in a way that minimizes it. What to do? I was very much invested in trying to find myself in any of the style identities and now that I finally figured it out, I don't like it. 😐
