The clarity of his tone is breathtaking. The instrument sings.
This is one of the most moving performances I've ever heard of this masterpiece. Marc-Andre combines a beautiful musical spirit and stupendous piano mastery and when it's all perfectly aligned, as it is here, the result is fabulous.
Agreed. His love of the music is reflected in the tone and meticulous execution of every passage. His dynamics are equally as wonderful.

Der We hsel zwischen Verinnerlichung und Emphase zeichnet Hamelin besonders aus. Eine der schönsten Polonaise. Der nationale harakter tritt hier stark hervor.

По-моему, благородно. Без манерностей и жеманностей, которые часто слышны в исполнении Шопена. Настоящее шопеновское рубато - строго, без излишних вольностей..
