Amazing content. Releasing my app in a couple weeks, and I feel way more equipped to drive user growth in the coming months! Can't believe you don't have more subs - I just subbed!
Thanks Justus! Glad it was helpful, and glad to have you on board! We definitely have some new content coming soon that I think will be helpful to the app startup community, hopefully we'll get more subs then 😁
Great video- I just released my app, and now every morning I wake up in a cold sweat picturing you waving that finger “you might not get a single download …. EVER” haha
I’m currently designing and am launching soon. After watching this video I’m currently losing sleep. HOW do I market 😮I’m watching all these marketing videos and confused more than ever …. Help
Thanks for the comment! Shoot me an email when your app launches - i'd love to check it out. Also, check our newest video "The Ugly Truth About Launching An App Startup" and consider subscribing - we've got some great startup and app-based videos coming soon!
Subscribed and hoping to get similar quality content about app marketing. I, as an app developer know how to build an app. But marketing is a whole other domain for me. Few small apps which I created in the past were massive failures and sometimes I wonder if I had done appropriate marketing for it, may be I could have gotten something from those apps. But with my latest app, I made little investment in Google Adwords just to give it a try and it actually worked. I started to seeing the results the very next day. This was awesome for me because I was very skeptic about marketing apps and was not sure if all this would actually work. Looking forward to learn more about marketing digital products on this channel.
It's all a learning experience, but one proper step on the marketing side can separate failure from success! Wishing you the best of luck with your new app! Keep following -- more content on the way very soon!
My pleasure! I'm glad the information was helpful. Hoping that you'll stick around and check out some of the info we've got coming up in our next videos!
Top content. Thanks! Seeing the comment below, I have questions for you guys. Do you build your App yourself or you hire a developer. I think hiring a developer is a much productive approach but it does have a lot of its own problems like finding the right talent and being in a buget etc. What are your thoughts on this? I have learned to build App myself but think marketing is more important than building the App itself to succeed. Your thoughts?
Very well explained! My App is available for androids. Do I wait for the Apple approval before marketing? Thank you again for an awesome video. I'm my own influencer so I'll save there. I love my followers on all platforms and they're highly engaged.
Thanks for watching! IMO, the best thing you can do if you have engaged followers on social is start getting them on your email list. In marketing, an opt-in email list is GOLD. I'd consider setting up a landing page that allows people to sign up for beta, then promote it to your existing audience, and have them sign up. That way, you can nurture them through email while you are awaiting approval!
@@ThinkLions Thank you. I do have an opt-in for emails but I’m finding out that short form video on all platforms helps drive people to whatever I promote more than my email list because of the low open rate. I’m going to be trying texts soon as well because the open rate there is high. ( I used to manage an account and used text messaging for their sales and the response was always good).
@@BerniceTaylorFitness when you say low open rate, how low is it? Might be a kink in the email strategy, like titles or topics of email, etc. However, if short form videos are working, keep moving with it --- ultimately, marketing is about throwing as much s*** at the wall as possible, seeing what sticks, and maximizing on it!
Congrats on creating an app! If you can protect it with some type of IP (patent, etc.) you should look into that. However, most software does not meet the requirements for getting a patent. In that case, you have to just decide to push forward. Entrepreneurs often put too much emphasis on whether someone will copy their idea. It's possible, but competitors with the resources to steal the idea usually won't even know you exist until you are big enough that they feel the threat - and by then you will already have a loyal base of fans, followers, and users. RUclips recognized TikTok was onto something and launched Shorts --- but it hasn't gotten NEARLY the engagement as TikTok.
WAIT!! Before you launch that app, there are a few things you need to know about app startups. It may not be exactly what you think it is. Here's why you might NOT want to build that app you've been thinking up --> ruclips.net/video/oa3qejPKi7Q/видео.htmlsi=lv1Suf88bIsEpLWc Marketing an app is important -- but it's more important to actually build something that customers WANT to use, and something that INVESTORS want to invest in, so you can continue scaling your marketing plan. Couldn't be better timing. Such great tips. Hoping to launch my app in 2x weeks and getting users on is a real fear. Thanks so much!!!
Awesome, Lucie! Getting users isn't easy, but its definitely possible. Glad you got some value from the video!
How was the launch?
Yes, agree but registering app on app directories can really help like AppsHive they are really good.
