    Another banger. Alot of what YC preaches is distilled in this one video. Ideation, proving the concept, iteration, product market fit, teething problems, growth, go-to-market strategy, recovering from crisis, the pivot, discovering unfair competitive advantage (natural content creator, building an audience).

    Very inspirational. In my humble opinion, one of the reasons why projects like this one succeed, is because it's happening in America. I have my doubts about such idea growing in Europe. I'm building two apps far from any relevant startup ecosystem and I know it's going to take a toll.

    • @RawStartup
      @RawStartup  Год назад +2

      It is certainly harder with no ecosystem, but having lived on both sides of the Atlantic I believe this could have been done in a lot of cities in Europe too.

    The video provides many helpful insights and I thank you for that, but it skips over how he went from the Photoshop mock up to a working MVP app. Did he hire someone else or did he learn to do it himself? I've goofed around with the Android and iOS SDKs and even though I have a lot of experience coding in C and other languages, I was quickly discouraged by all the hurdles standing between an idea, and turning it onto an the app in the app store. I haven't seen your other videos about apps yet so I'll watch those now.

    Hello Heini, I hope your having a great day today. I’m a small farmer from Northern California , and in a world where everything is digital and focused on technology , I’m finding it hard to locate investors related to my industry. I’m really only looking for something in the range of 50K, as I want to start my own small organic farm instead of working at one. On paper the profit margins are fantastic, but I don’t have a way to translate that into an actual business, so I feel like it would make sense for an investor, I just don’t know who to approach, as a software focused investor has no interest in my industry. How can I find investors in my community , as farmers don’t generally want more competition.

    • @RawStartup
      @RawStartup  Год назад

      I'm afraid this is a little outside what I know anything about. Generally I would say find some people that are local and made their money in that industry.

    Great video! He said, before launching the app they tested four ideas and that's not clear to me, did he use the landing page to test the options? I mean, how do you test an mvp / app before put it out there? Do you have videos about it? Thanks!

    • @RawStartup
      @RawStartup  Год назад +2

      Thanks, I don't have a video about that just yet, but maybe I should do one. I think he found the people that enganged with the landing page then asked them what do you find most interesting? Probably showing some mockups.

    What's better, to launch a really basic app with room for improvement or to never launch an excellent app?
    Thanks.

      Always MVP always launch the very basic app first. Then build from there.

    You said “yes” to 7 weeks building an app “7 months - maybe”. I took almost a year to build my app. Just released in. Do you think that’s way too long? Even though I had never coded before? I was learning and building at the same time.

    Hey what do you think about domain name. I’m ready to start creating my app LLC is made, found the person to make it etc. but domain name is taken. Should i proceed ? And worry about in the future once I get investors ? Or should I take care of it before hand.

    • @RawStartup
      @RawStartup  Год назад +1

      Hard answer to give, I would say it depends. You should also consider finding a new name. You might never get that domain and then it becomes a hassle.

    How he has 2 million downloads when he have 100K in Andorid and 3.8K rating in App store?

    • @RawStartup
      @RawStartup  Год назад

      He has more than 100k on Android, that is what it means. He is obviously much bigger on IOS due to the Apple watch and Apple has pushed the like being App of the year. 2 million makes good sense.
