I received a very small grant once and was so happy that it was just a yes and no form. Wish they were all like that. Thank you for your info

I love that you are actually experienced in this field and sharing. There seems to be a lot of false info about what to do and how to do it by people that really don’t have any experience and are just trying to create content and get subscribers and likes. I am a professional musician that is really feeling the downturn since Covid. Most of this is because live music in general has taken a big hit at the non mega star level. I am trying to get some ducks in a row but honestly seem to be floundering. Like you say in the video.. not even really sure what I am looking to do or how. Thanks again for your video! Clarity is always a good thing. ❤

I won a Puffin Foundation grant. I was very specific about my documentary photography project being a zine I could give away to marginal participants as well as use as a fundraiser for the organization I was documenting. I told them how this particular time period was a moment I wanted to tell the story of and also how much the organization meant to me personally.

Me and friend are planning to do some workshops for the youth. Is there any anything in particular I should mention when writing a grant which might help the chance of getting accepted? Thanks George

There are no local grants in Trinidad and Tobago for artists to be accessed for those who aren't inciting violence, spreading propaganda, or dehumanizing themselves or others. The United States has done better at showcasing Trinidad and Tobago's creative arts with no support or cost to the country. The United Kingdom has also done better at promoting Calypso to the world with no support of cost to Trinidad and Tobago but Trinibagonians continue to vent hate for the late Calypso King, Belafonte when he did more for the art form than every government put together. If Trinbagonians were still experiencing colonialism, however, the state of creatives would be entirely different.
