This video definitely deserves a remake in the context of S3. There's a lot of great concepts here but with the context of new specials and kits a few things are quite different. This vids also criminally underviewed lol
This video came at the perfect time, my friend wants our team to get into competitive, and I thought it would be useful to learn how to build team comps!
Wow I never knew that to make a comp you need to go into weapons, bombs, and specials' hank you for this Vid I hope this knowledge makes us win more, thanks Chara.
My biggest question is how do deaths (yourself or teammates) affect the team objectives? What can I do to be of better help if several of my teammates die?
Ok so this is kinda unrelated but last night I had a splatoon dream. It was the beginning of a match (idk what mode). On my team we were all shooters, but we were all diverse. On the other team I vividly remember there was a slosher and three rollers (two splat rollers one dynamo). The map was blackbelly skatepark. The moment the match began I woke up ;-;
been waiting for this vid was great, def gonna try and apply this to what i do, quick question tho, what roles would gloogas and mid range chargers like bamboo and squiffer fall under
gloogas (all variants) are mostly slayers, mk1 is a support weapon, classic squiffer is kind of both, the other squiffer variants are slayers. (i don't really know what to classify the other bamboo kits as)
I remember during a scrim, I managed to convince my team to use double H-3, cBlaster/range blaster, and kgal. Basically a bunch of weapons that all 2 shot, and H-3s and kgal paint to make up for having a blaster. It was an even scrim, and then we ran that comp and started demolishing them. I also want to try double blob, soda, 96. 2 weapons that do 70 damage, and 2 other weapons that spam out paint and 30 damage bubbles everywhere, sounds annoying.
I would also make the argument that experimentation is a good way (maybe even the best way) to find team synergies. It's easier in my experience to find comps that synergize on paper but then when you go and play them it just doesn't feel great.
It is a really interesting video. I am not in any team, but I would imagine that if you know the strenghts of yout opponents team composition, then you could come up with specific strategies to nullify their strenghs and also try to move them out of their strongs positions. They might try to do the same and it can become an interesting mind games. Changing a little bit the topic. I as a Vsploosh main and as a solo player, I ink the terrain of teammates who are splaltings or chargers when I am passing by; so they can escape faster if they get in trouble. I think I do this because I know how bad it is to not be able to swim away faster when the floor isn´t inked by your ink. Or maybe because my aim is bad and I rely on them saving me from the opponents LOL XD.
How do you think a Neo Splash and an H3D mesh together? -H3D is painty, good range, powerful, but requires more focus and is slower -Splash is painty, fast fire rate, burst bombs, but is a four hit kill and has lower range If paired, both have great coverage and the burst bombs or the fast fire rate can be paired with the H3 hitting two shots, finishing an opponent.
me and my friends run a comp i call "the quad slap" which is slosher deco, the seocnd flingza roller, neosploosh, and splatterscopes second kit it is a slayer heavy comp but if the slosher flinzga and neo stick in the same area they destroy so this comp is more built for rainmaker and tower control
perfectly sums it up for me lol. Cool vid but its been hard to find players who wont let me down immediately. And then the people who are decent enough to not, are always kinda pompous a-holes... is this just me anyone?
do you think you could give me some general tips on how squiffer wants to play and how to fit it on team comps? ie what types of weapons go well with it etc bcs i honestly am not sure how it fits on team comps
I'm looking for a team and I use tri slosher (ink armour), my friend uses nautilus (baller), and I'm looking for a grim range blaster (tenta missiles) and Nozzle nose 3-D or whatever its called (inkjet) would that be a good comp?
The team is seriously lacking any type of range. Missiles can help with backlines, but it isn't going to do much everything else that would apply pressure.
my win condition is when I get a cool clip and now I gotta win the game to make it worth anything

This is maybe a sign of you playing too much splatoon recently.
@@user-yd3vg9pr9c The last time I played splatoon before yesterday was actually a month ago, I had just happened to play that night cause I had time

on the subject, what about the three mini splatlings? i'd assume vmini and zmini are support/paint, and kmini is also part slayer?

Dr. Prodigy is amazing, the explanation was really crisp :D
Also reminds me of the Dr. DUDE series

wack off-meta comp for moray on zones: kloogas (preferably with LDE) custom goo tuber (preferably with MPU) foil flingza (LDE + special charge) custom e-liter (with SPU)

Do you usually plan out all your comps before you play in a tourney or scrim, or do you usually more make them up as you go?
if im on a team then somewhat planned yea
what map is shown at 2:14??? It looks like maybe one of the splatfest ones but like, I thought those didn't have ranked mode versions....

Are Ballpoints a good comp with Carbon Deco?

They should have only 1 kind of one weapon classes with different specials and different sub weapons for each player on one team.
