When my parents were first married, my mother, a NICU nurse, had a patient that stayed in the NICU for 18 months. My mother fell in love with that baby and bought him toys, clothes, and books. The mother was a major druggie and had already had multiple children removed, she refused to put this baby up for adoption and it had to go into foster care instead. My mother wanted to adopt him and my parents were willing to become foster parents to take him in. CPS decided since the boy was Hispanic he should only go to a Hispanic foster home. The foster mother they sent him to ignored his care instructions and he was dead within 24 hours of leaving the hospital. It’s been 47 years and my mother still cry’s over that baby. You know the mother and idiotic CPS agent don’t remember him.

If I ever had cps contact or even if the school even contacted me about my sons well fair I would have been mortified!!! These people talk about cps involvement like it's a resource that your entitled too . No its bc you are a shitty parent . I watch these cps cases that stream from Texas courts and the resources these people get is insane . They get gas cards to SEE THEIR KIDS, housing, furniture, freaking furnishings, bedding , CARS FIXED AND PUT ON ROAD!! And this is all
While their kids are in foster care and they maybe make a visit once a month. They have scattered neg /pos drug tests or take
Their time to finish their safety care plan. They know exactly what to do just so they just make it to not loose your kid. It's fu($ing infuriated. This whole

Thank you for saying abused kids still love their parents. So many abused kids love and miss their parents, and that's perfectly normal and okay for a child to feel that way. It doesn't mean the abuse wasn't real, or wasn't that bad.

One child I fostered absolutely hated his biological Mum because of the severity of his abuse. He was 5 years and 2 months old when he was removed with his five other siblings. His sister was a year older and had been adopted for about 6 months. He came to me at age 7 and at that time they were interviewed by the police for court. She refused to say anything in a police interview and she wanted to go back to her parents while he was the complete opposite and gave very detailed information on the abuse he suffered. It could of been because the mum liked girls and hated boys. He was also the most abused.

I do not love my mother who gave me to the court system because she didn't want to take care of me but instead have her freedom, do drugs, drink, and hop from one pos man to another. My trauma stems from and is only within the time frame she had custody of me until 3 years old but just that short amount of time is all it took to screw my mind up for the rest of my life but because of that I am a better mother to my children. It's a terrible thing but I turned it into good because I had to.

I was a teen mom. I got pregnant with my oldest son when I was 15 and had him at 16. I completely 100% agree with not glorifying teen pregnancy!!! I wouldnt trade my son for anything in this world but if had a choice of having him in my 20s vs 16 I would take my 20s any day of the week! I was extremely lucky and had him with a really good guy, who was only 1 year older than me, but he comes from an amazing family and both of our families supported us and helpes us whenever they could. But, It's simple, you call 911 & the baby & mom are taken to the hospital for a check over & a birth certificate is issues then. It just won't have the hospital as the place of birth. No DNA test needed. It's obvious if a woman has just gave birth, after birth/placenta ect... The ONLY reason I can think of that someone wouldn't take a baby born at home to the hospital is because they'd be in trouble for DRUGS in their baby's system.... & Not just weed. It's possible she had something like a low-dose hydrocodone or oxycodone - like 5mg, & maybe took a LOT of those? They have 325mg of Tylenol in them, each (& don't some have 500? I think so) - & so, if you wanted to take like 20mg of hydrocodone, you're taking 1.3 grams of Tylenol. Say she's doing that 4 times in a single day - there you go, Tylenol overdose. (And maybe could have taken Tylenol on top of that without realizing it's in the pain meds.) And, obviously I don't know this, I have nothing specific to indicate that she's abusing any pain medication, but, that's a way someone could accidentally overdose on Tylenol, so it's possible.

I’m so glad you were capable to take her in. When CPS got involved with me at 15 they told my dad the case plan and he said nah. He’s not doing it and I’m almost 18 anyway. I was a kid. My mother died years before from driving drunk and my father was also an alcoholic. He died six months after I went into care. They got me in case just in time. But before he died they tried to have my father pay child support because he wasn’t willing to sign over custody and wasn’t willing to do classes or anything. He wanted to still have a say in my life, so they wanted him to pay. If she isn’t signing over custody she’s either doing classes and rehab (whatever the case plan says) or she’s paying ALOT of child support or signing them over. Also he’s right, I loved my dad and was such a daddy’s girl even though he wasn’t a good dad. I bet y’all went through the same struggle. I’m so glad the mom chose a new life for herself, and all of you. Loving an addict isn’t easy.

And she’s talking about a liver transplant because many who overdose on Tylenol can need a liver transplant due to irreversible damage an Acetaminophen overdose can cause to the liver. She did have liver damage (thus the jaundice {yellow eyes & skin}). Do you know how much Tylenol you need to take to overdose at this level?? It’s no accident. Just like hospitals not only would not but it’s illegal to refuse health care in the United States. All hospital ERs MUST provide health care to everyone which is why we have criminals illegally crossing the border and going to our health care system. Then hospitals also have slush funds and programs for doctors to do pro bono work for kids who have cancer. This will NOT cover experimental or non regular forms of treatment for what he diagnosis is and you will probably rack up huge bills but I’m guessing she snd kids are on family health plus which is AMAZING INSURANCE and it’s free for low income. I know cuz my kids and I temporarily used this service after my marriage of 15 years ended. $0 copay for visits for prescriptions for hospital stays. Free dentist, free eye care including one free pair of glasses every year. (Frames under $100 or you get $100 credit towards frames)

As a former foster parent this makes me sick!!!!
You can’t believe how many bad foster homes we came across while doing foster care!! We meet so many kids that were being abused by foster parents!!!
We would do respite care for some and I promise you we meet more bad hikes than good!! We were able to help several kids get out of bad homes and praying they went to better.. it was so hard on my mental health that I had to step back and take a break one day we might reopen our home but as of now my heart breaks!!!
We had a family emergency and had to go out of state they would not let us take our foster kids out of state so unfortunately we had to use a respite home.. unfortunately it was triable.. we had no clue until we got back unfortunately there state worker dropped them off for us as we had to leave and when we got there to pick them up the house was out of control. My foster kids were not even there we waited almost an hour for them to get home and when they arrived they had 10 kids in one van none of my kids were in car seat my youngest was 2 and we found out they had just got back from Indiana, and we live in Kentucky. They were not allowed to cross the state line. My two year old had a hand print bruise on her leg!! So mush more I cried for weeks and promised I would never take them to respite again!! Two years later that state sent them home!! To a mom who abused them and basically lived in a crack house sadly the state failed them and I have nightmares over it!!!
Why can’t people love and protect children 😢

Many people are woke up to be informed, that although you have been woke up there is nothing the drs can do and within days you'll be gone ( this was the outcome of a family friend) who had tried to delete themselves, sadly when they woke they were happy they survived only to receive that news..

There's some serious BS going on with her story! She said at 29:10 that she took 2 extra strength tylenol every 4 hours with a couple extra here and there. That would suggest that she did NOT take them all at once but over an extended period of time and maybe it was 10 total for the duration. It is written on the bottle to not exceed 8 a day so she only had a couple more than she should have IF she is telling the truth on how many she took. She would not have had to "voluntarily" send her kids to foster care because of that. Child Services doesn't get involved because someone took a couple extra tylenol. I have known of a couple others who have swallowed the whole bottle at once and were given the charcoal stuff to make it all come back up at the hospital. If she does have kidney issues, that would explain her yellow look and maybe the tylenol irritated her condition. The spots on her neck look like track marks NOT IV marks! They don't poke a bunch of times on both sides just to get an IV in. Also, those marks are at various healing stages so clearly not done all at the same time!
As someone who does have to take tylenol on a regular basis, you have to keep track of the amount you take. Yes, my Doctors are aware and suggest that I use tylenol. I have a whole heap of illnesses and problems that cause severe all over pains, headaches, migraines and spasms. Anyone who takes any type of pain relief needs to research and be super careful of the amount they're taking. They should definitely speak to their Doctor about it as well, especially if they have any chronic illnesses or allergies! I am allergic to ASA (asprin) and any medication that has it in it. It would be a bad day if I accidently took some.

Josh I have a family member (who I do not claim) that has 3 innocent children. They live in a roach infested house, filled with marijuana and cigarette smoke, with no running water no working stove/oven and no working washing machine or dryer. Mom or Dad don’t work. CPS came to their house and seen that because they got EBT (Food stamps) and filled their fridge and cabinets with food, everything was okay and the conditions were livable. The only thing that they needed to fix on site was an extension cord that was in the living room accessible to the children. It’s so sad that they turn a blind eye to these kinds of things. Those poor children deserve so much better. Not even cops finding one of the kids walking along the side of the road while the parents were passed out made any difference. They still got to keep their kids in that house. The system has definitely failed them. I’m so glad to see where CPS steps in and actually does their job and helps the children involved but unfortunately it doesn’t happen often here… Florida based. 😢

I'm not familiar with where she lives exactly, but I've never heard of CPS taking a child for insurance reasons. There are programs that will automatically cover a child for this reason and allow the family time to get it handled. Children take precedent and they absolutely don't want to traumatize a child with an unnecessary removal over something that is basically financial. She lost her kids for something else, then tried to overdose, and came up with this con while in the hospital (you know those sympathy views).

Sometimes, they’ll recommend getting your tubes tied after you’ve had 3 or 4 babies, but sometimes, they will also try to talk the woman out of doing it/flat out refuse to do it, depending on the age of the woman and/or how many kids she has because if it’s only 1 or 2, “she might want more”. I also knew of another doctor in my area who didn’t want to tie anyone’s tubes unless they were over a certain age (I think it was like 26 or 27).
