I never heard too much nick cave, but 3 days ago I went to his concert at Roskilde festival and was the best concert in my life. I was literally in heaven while he was playing this song...crying inside, huge powerful emotions during the concert, now I just love him

This song gives a me a great rest when i have a problem that i can't catch, when i'm confused. With this song i can touch my confusion as a single feeling and stop to think.I push the sky, what's bothering me far after the horizons and my sadness is free, and that's a great feeling. This space that this song has opened, where i'm able to breath, rest, and feel the huge tenderness of my own sadness and let go in an intimacy that only belongs to me. I love you very much Nick Cave for i'm so thankful for this friend-song. How you can help and vanish so graciously.

There is a certain ambiguity about the song, it can mean anything, and it has a way of filling any space you desire. Usually I can't hear a song over and over, but this I don't want to stop listening to.
Even a big fan of Nick Cave since the 80s. He's a genius.
I love how a show can play a song that introduces you to a band/group/artist you probably would never heard of if you didn't hear it on a show. The moment they started playing this song I was hooked. Thanks to The Bridge for introducing me to a great new song and a great new band.

There is a saying: "the sky is the limit". If you push the sky away, you're pushing your boundaries out and, hopefully, upward. Your friends, your possessions, and the opinions of others cannot limit you. That's my take, anyway.

I hardly wait the concert in november 2013 in ljubljana (slovenia). This is another amayzing album. Specialy this song: pure, powerful - it sems Nick is from another space. Love it! Thank you so much Nick.
I believe he 's singing about people with mental problems (causing 'rock'n roll' short and passionate relations). You can't push the sky away. It's the frustrating feeling of people who struggle against their problems, but keep making the same mistakes. But giving up is not an option. You have friends who say you're doing well, and you have others who try to give you advice.

Heard this at the end of the show on Bridge as well. I immediately paused it and grabbed my Shazam app to tell me the song. Love it and love this group. Searched Amazon MP3 and found the album. I have to say the end of that show was something I never want to see again. It still hurts...but this group is awesome! They remind me of Lifehouse.

I saw this live two nights ago at the beacon theatre NYC.. This song was killer.. I think He's closed with it every date on this tour so far. Nick Cave is amazing live!

That might sound pretty emo and shit I know but hell Mr Cave will always be a special musician for me not only because I grew up with his music but he was also one of my mother's favourite artists....With his songs I can reminisce her and relive the moments I spent with her,though I must admit it's kinda heartbreaking so I don't listen to him that much now....His latest album "Push the Sky Away" was the last CD i bought together with my mother....And just like his father,my mother faded away in a blink of an eye,so unexpectedly and unfairly(she was only 45 )yet in a way that all humans would wish to leave this world behind....Anyway,life is in general full of crap and you have to go through fire and water in order to understand the true meaning of happiness....yeaah..just keep on pushing the sky away no matter what.....I'll stop my depressive weeping rant now...yeah..(sorry for any grammatical error I am not a native English speaker and it's 4 am sooo yeahh......)
