  • It is with sad hearts that we covered this tune from the great Tony Rice who passed away on Christmas day. We like to think Mr. Rice accepted the wings but tossed that harp away and asked for a Martin D28.
    Vocals and mandolin: Mitch Sumner
    Vocals and guitar: Kevin McComb
    Song written by: Norman Blake

Outstanding Skaggs/Rice-style take on this, fellas! Hell of a job reimagining this without sacrificing any of its essence 🎵🎶🔥✌🏻

I love picking this song and it's a cross picking masterpiece - tricky melody. But the mandolin take does a great job and the voice is amazing. Great harmony fellas. I'm impressed - way to make it your own - subbed

Hey guys that is great all the way around. I loved every bit of it. The mandolin playing was out of the world and so was that rhythm guitar. Say is that a 0017, if so what year? I have a 43 model. The singing was great too, both the lead and harmony. It sounded like James Taylor singing Church Street Blues!😋

Thanks. It's a 000-15sm. It's only a year old but it's getting the hell beat out of it regularly.

@@TheArborline By the way, I own one of those Martin's with the slotted headstocks. Rare. But, man, they sound good.
