A favorite memory of mine. Sitting around getting peas out of the pod with my mom and aunt so my grandma could can them. My grandpa would get some baby reds out of the garden and then my grandma would make a pot of this wonderful food. ❣️💖❣️

That looks so good, thanks for sharing! My grandparents used to make this out of their garden, and now that I've seen your video, I can't wait to have it again. I always loved this dish.

I made this for dinner tonight. Very happy I found your recipe after looking at some others. Your recipe was more substantial and was quite delicious. My Kansas husband just loved it. Thanks Debbie!

Store taters are almost worth it....so cheap. This is one of those good ole recipes we all hated as kids but then grew up and wanted it. Yum :)

I haven't made this in years, and I like your recipe much more than mine. It's basically the same, but your veggies were smaller and less than what I used. I think your way is better, especially the way you made the "sauce" with lots of butter, so I think I needed more butter too. Thank you SO much. Bless, Sheila

These are plain old english peas, not cream preas.

    • @DebbiesBackPorch

It doesn't say "cream" peas. It says "creamed" peas. I cooked them in cream.
