My mom always had new Cadillac every year my favorite car was her 1979 coupe it was black with white interior it was a beautiful car
Man, this brings back memories of the 1980 Coupe DeVille hand-me-down I had in college. It was my uncle's car and it passed to my family after he died in 1983. I tried like hell to restore and save the car from the years of northern salt corrosion but it was a losing battle in the end. This 1979 looks so much the same - interior, gauges, frame and even engine (the 1980 had the 368 ci which was in the same family as the 425, 472 and 500 and it wasn't until a year later Cadillac tried the V8-6-4 variable displacement version which had its own quirks). In the early 00's, I did an engine swap from a 75 DeVille with a low-mileage 500 and everything bolted right up with only some finagling of the accessories brackets and a tweak to the oil pan. An incredibly comfortable car and it was surprisingly reliable during its lifetime. Thanks for this trip down memory lane.

I thought my mint 42 thousand miles 1979 Cadillac Coupe Deville was low mileage .
They drive great and this is my 4th and best 79 .Once you drive one you are spoilt driving anything else .

GREAT VIDEO!!! I had to show my daughter the difference between this ultimately awesome style of Cadillac and the POS smaller version that GM tried selling as a Cadillac and Buick. Your Cadillac brings back memories when I bought an 87 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance. Mine about about the same as yours, same color with red pin stripe, but had gold emblems and black pillow top leather seats. Wish I never sold it. Awesome Cadillac you have!!!😀👍

Btw, one thing that concerns me if I did no carbs is if I got dizzy or weak
Lost about 70 lbs! Well as close to zero as I could. If I could avoid the carbs I did. When I couldn't I minimized them. The whole process was around a year. A pound or two fell off every week the key was consistency!
