1978 Cadillac Phaeton

This Cadillac was always covered and garage kept, which makes sense of the extreme level of preservation you see throughout. This Phaeton was only offered in 1978 and 1979, the $1,929 Phaeton package came with a simulated convertible-top, special pin striping, wire wheel discs, and "Phaeton" name plates in place of the usual "Coupe de Ville" or "Sedan de Ville" ornament on the rear fenders. Inside are leather upholstered seats and a leather-trimmed steering wheel, matching the exterior color. The Phaeton came equipped with a 425 CID engine and a TH400 automatic transmission. This one has the Arizona Beige exterior, Dark Brown roof and Light Beige leather interior. The 1978s were released mid-year and very, very few sedans were ever produced, making this a very hard-to-find car!
This particular Cadillac Phaeton has only 12,682 original miles, the original paint, and all factory correct components. The underside is just as nice as the topside and interior, and it even has the original catalytic converter!

Phaeton Sedan's are super rare as most were coupes. What a car!
Coupe and sedans colors were black over gray dark blue over cotillion white and brown over a medium orange in the years of 1979.
I remember the first time I ever laid eyes on one was about 1986 and it was a grey coupe, and not in good condition.

My aunt and uncle had a ‘78 deVille with the d’elegance package. I adored that car and was so sad when they traded it off. I’ll be 50 this year and it’s still one of my favorite all time cars.
The d’Elegance package was my very favorite because of the seats. Those cars had the *most* comfortable pillow top seats I ever sat in.
I need this car in my life.
The 1971- 1976 big boat bodystyle was my favorite, but i also loved the 1977-1979 era too!

Thats where youre wrong. Look at the body style, closely. Totally different designs.
The Fleetwood brougham is a foot longer than a sedan deville and is heavier 4350 pounds.
A sedan deville weighs 4219 pounds.
