This show and Motorcity were the most slickest and stylistic cartoon Disney has ever distributed and what they both have in common was that they were both killed off too early. It's a shame that Disney would just can them like this!
If they can bring back Penny Proud, Than surely they can bring back those shows, Along with Wander over Yonder, Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes and Randy Cummingham, Right?
I consider both tron Uprising and Motorcity sister hows because they both star a protagonist rebelling against an evil tyrant and trying to bring hope to people to fight for their freedom.
It's weird how some properties never seem to take hold despite having both incredible visuals and an engaging story. Also, de-rezzing always looked so much scarier than if the characters bled like humans. It gave a sense of glass-like fragility that made the fights more intense for me.
I've always felt this way too! Seeing a character crumble into pieces always gave me a much more visceral reaction of discomfort than regular gore ever did.
I think the scariest was how the Paige backstory episode, that entire Island was destabilized simply because they crash landed on it... mass murder part aside...
@@scottjs5207 it’s really gut wrenching because Paige is literally pushed into a role that oversees the same thing. How unimaginably destructive is it to realize that you changed to spend your time aiding what corrupted you? That Paige is made to see those background “crashes and mistakes” as normal protocol.
Alot of these properties don't take hold because most newly made stuff is barely marketed or advertised well, so no even one knows they exist outside of cult followings. Heck my memory of this show is hanging on by a thread due to glimpses of Uprising on Disney XD, Kingdom Hearts and Tron Legacy. Big companies like Disney rarely ever have faith in media that isn't mainstream. The only reason they greenlight and throw money at certain things is in the slim hopes they catch lightning in a bottle and because their multi billion dollar revenue means that they can afford to fuck up and start all over again, so there's no risk.
Fun Fact: Beck's hairstyle is based on a proposed look for Tron in the original Tron (1982) that is visible in some behind the scenes photographs but was not used in the film
Even funnier, it's debatably still canon but very obscure! Tron's hairstyle is shown when he takes off his helmet during the deleted love scene with him and Yori (it's still described in the novelization and a QnA panel where his actor calls it "post-coitus hair" LMAO), it makes rewatches hilarious knowing it's just... lurking under the helmet the whole time
Agreed. I think what mostly held it back was because it had to tie into the movies. I think if "Tron Legacy" was never made, and the cartoon was allowed to exist as it's own thing, then it would've done a lot better imo. And assuming the series would've gone on for at least a few more seasons if that was the case, then they could've easily ended the series leading up to a new "Tron" film, that the animated series set up.
That’s the problem , most things that are ahead of their time are never appreciated because people are short sighted to long run vision and only see what’s right in of them …. Then 10 years later they realize they fucked up . Look at what happened to the psp .
I cant stress how important this show was to me. The incredibly brief "Tron revival" blew my mind and sparked so much imagination and creativity into my mind, its hard to describe in just a yt comment how much I obsessed over this series. Though the franchise may have all but a finger in the grave, this show and the franchise might be one of the most influential pieces of media to me, not the most, but up there.
ive been planning this comment for a while. We need to bring this show back. Ending one of the most unique and high quality shows of the last decade on a cliff-hanger and then discontinuing it is so mind blowingly stupid to me. If you go to the tron uprising subreddit you can see fans waiting for some new uprising news for over a decade. With posts as early as last year asking if they should give up hope because of the lack of news or reports. But now is the time. With the reveal of the new lightcycle roller coaster and the news for the third tron movie being released, (as well as some new weird tron based puzzle game apparently coming out?) it seems as if disney is trying to slowly revive tron. I urge anyone brave enough to go on all forms of social media to create an uproar. Show that there are still thousands of people interested in this series. Create accounts, fan pages, edits, posts literally just saying "Bring Back Tron" (especially uprising). There are 3 possible outcomes from this, either 1) Disney hears this and trys to respond in some way, which is a big +. 2) disney is already working on new tron projects and they will see this and possibly tease something as a form of responding. or finally 3) disney does nothing and at least we tried. Please, anyone who is able to do this, I beg of you, show that tron hasn't died yet.
I think Tron is slowly coming back. The Light-Cycle Run ride at Disney World opening soon, the new Tron video game getting alot of work and attention put into it, as well as the new film STILL being worked on. Slowly it's all coming back, hopefully we can get a season 2 of Uprising as a Disney+ show or something
@@yafufuf6694 yeah because nothing screams Tron more than a visual novel game!! Heck why doesn't Disney just make (sarcasm) Tron the billboard game on console, build a bridge, Tron the Sims, or even a F**king card game!!!! Whoever thought it would be a great idea to make Tron( a movie/series that has action and amazing views) into a visual novel game needs to be fire, and then fire the person who improved the idea.
This show is one of my favorite animated shows of all time. The look, storytelling, animation, music was all so good. It’s such a shame it never got a second season.
God this show was great. Taking the basic concept of Batman Beyond and applying it within the Tron universe was amazing. Great characters and stories, great soundtrack, great animation and choreography. Truly sad that it was canceled.
I remember seeing some of the show on tv and then finding out it was moved to after midnight making me unable to see how season 1 ended until Disney + happened. My hope is with the third movie the show can be revived. I saw Tron recently and that allowed me to get the references to the first movie shown was pretty fun
@@johnrodriguez5016 There's been no trailers or teasers of any new Tron stuff that I know of. However despite there being nothing from Disney, it's all been but confirmed that the third movie is gonna be called Tron: Ares.
I love the show a it’s shame they didn’t finish it the story also had a good premise I enjoyed the title of “Tron” being a mantle that could be passed to other people
Seeing the world of Tron in long form storytelling, in contrast with the relatively short timespan of the previous media, was a blast and made for compelling worldbuilding. I know there’s a visual novel videogame coming out, but an open world game set on the Grid would be amazing.
i was OBSESSED with this show when it was first coming out and i watched every single episode dozens of times over as a kid, bought the soundtrack and listened to it constantly, etc. robert valley and alberto mielgo's styles influenced my own so much as a child and i didn't even realize it until this year when i rewatched it, and i'm blown away by HOW truly amazing it is. i really appreciate this video, i hope it leads to more interest in the show because most people i talk to have never heard of it and that's a travesty.
I will also the way they treated Tron as a *charecter* was FANTASTIC, not only with the idea of a charecter as a symbol but tron as a charecter with a disablity. His journey is treated with such respect and its so realistic, it's honestly hard to watch some episodes as a person with a disablity. The fact that they can make a charecters journey genuinely hard to watch shows just how good this show is at charecters. I seriously can't praise it enough The moment where Tron refuses his healing tube. When Tron collapses. It's all so.... I mean it sucks that they got rid of it at the end, bit of an ablist trope but honestly whatever they do SO much with the rest of his charecter that it's fine.
I totally agree! A trope I've come to really hate recently is the one where scarring is used for aesthetic purposes. I.e The Punisher S2, Jessica Jones S2, The Owl House, ect, where the depiction of scarring or some form of disfigurement is usually just surface level, like it feels added just to make a character look 'jaded', or 'pretty' even. But TRON: Uprising avoids this entirely! Tron's scars aren't just a visual design choice, they're an integral part of his character's state of being, an underlying health condition that he needs constant medical treatment for.
This is one of those shows that really shows you how much more action matters than word. We can say we love something all we want, but if we can't properly support it, that praise means nothing. What really stinks is that broadcast television and streaming services actually make supporting these great shows a lot harder than it should be. The networks and streaming services demand unrealistically high ratings in an unrealistically short amount of time. Often times with minimal or misplaced advertising. Think about it, how many shows do you never know about until you randomly see something about it reblogged, retweeted, or talked about on youtube? Like, entirely too often. I haven't seen a proper TV commercial in years, I don't know what's on Netflix until I turn it on and see what their featured thing is.
Its genuinely heartbreaking how it just stopped, this show was AMAZING. I remember running home from school just to catch up where I left off. I was gullible to believe that they’d eventually continue creating episodes but was disappointed💔💔💔
I really appreciate that you ended up touching on this show. This series was... well it was everything for me back when it released. It was such a great sci-fi experience that really touched on heroism, legends, and revolution in ways that would eventually become far more common in later works (such as Into the Spider-Verse, Star Wars Rebels, and The Clone Wars' final season, among others) and it really highlighted just how impactful these stories would go on to be for people in some more recognizable franchises than Disney's often forgotten sci-fi gem. Also, absolutely agree about the soundtrack (to both the show and Legacy) as the music here is outstanding and really needs to be heard to be believed. It just oozes style in so many ways.
It's a shame that Tron-Uprising never had a season 2 and season 3, I mean this show was a masterpiece, why they don't understand true action and art anymore?
This one hurts, you know what's even worse? I'm from Latin America and I remember seeing the trailers on RUclips and being super hyped and the show never even made it here! (Although the dub exists but never aired). This show was brilliant, and it's on my top animated series that I usually recommend, hope the IP finds new life and hopefully Uprising can pick up interest one day :(
Yes! You finally covered Uprising and on a Friday! I was hoping you do this when you came out with the Motorcity video. Both IPs are gaining recognition they deserve all those years ago. Thank you, Jordan!
I remember trying to catch this show anytime it was on, it wasn’t until years later when I was rewatching the show online that I realised I had missed an *entire episode*. I was such a massive fan and stayed up way too late on school nights to catch the latest episodes, yet I still missed one due to the nightmare that was it’s schedule. Honestly this show had such an impact on me as a kid and still remains one of the most visually stunning pieces of media I have ever watched. I’m still waiting for season 2 dammit!
I feel like something you didn’t touch on was Dyson’s connection to Tron, again having his entire exposition story doing a really great job on tying into Legacy and answering a lot of questions we had about that movie as well as the canon of Uprising itself
So much left unsaid, untouched, and even left behind as the scant few other references and installments outside of the realm of film and TV get disregarded as non-canon (here's looking at you, 2.0). That being said, what we got is still so beautiful and bursting with life and potential. I've been working on writing a tabletop RPG based on Tron and including a lot of the ideas and concepts from every facet into it to mesh with the gameplay. I wanted to do it especially because there's so much room for interpretation in the history of the world, while there's enough already there thanks to the official and fan-made material. It'll probably be another niche way to interact with the world of Tron, but I think it deserves the chance and then some. Great video, by the way. Can't blame you for getting that collector's edition of Evolution, though. I missed out completely due to some difficult times in my personal life, but I would have killed to get my hands on that had I known!
I was BIG into the Tron hype! I saw Legacy four times in theatres, had two identity disc toys, had the album and remix album, had a few action figures, and even cosplayed as a program at San Diego Comic Con. This show was a fantastic addition to the franchise. One thing you didn't mention is how hard it was pushed at the theme parks! At Disney's California Adventure, the backlot area (now Marvel Land/Avengers Campus) would turn into a huge Tron-themed nightclub and dance party at night. There were face characters, bars, amazing theming, DJs, setups to play Evolution, and an entire 80's garage arcade. It was an amazing event and lasted almost two years.
I literally trying watch this show 2-3 times a year bruh ….. this one really really REALLYYYYYYYYY hurt my heart when this show got cancelled . I never really felt like that before but this show was so stylish , the animation , plot , maturity , just overall cool vibe . They got rid of it but kept phines and ferb 🤦🏾♂️
I watched all of this thanks to Disney+. To be frank, I was shocked to find out that it only lasted one season. The cast was stellar. The artwork was amazing. The story was great. I have no idea what happened.
I rewatched the movie for the first time in years last year, and I convinced my sister to watch the show with me afterwards. At first we thought it was a joke due to the strange designs of some characters, but it quickly became captivating. Her and I both loved the show and were sad that it never fully finished.
The problem with the other Tron: Legacy era works is that they were still under the “We are very strictly family friendly” Disney, before they bought Marvel and Star Wars. Uprising was the only one that wasn’t afraid to tackle heavier topics and dive deeper into characters, and that’s what gave it the depth that Legacy lacked.
The music, visuals, and great voice work were amazing. sucks it didnt get a second season but glad some of the team are working on Love Death and Robots
I absolutely love this show and have recommended it to so many people over the years. I’ve also slowly but surely been working on an Uprising cast piece getting as many of the actors to sign it as possible over the last year. Elijah Wood was particularly excited to talk about it with me when I met him. It’s just such good storytelling and not appreciated anywhere near enough.
A very sad ending to a very great show. Enjoyed watching it growing up. Definitely, they could bring it back and fill in all the gaps in 12 episodes if given to chance.
The series was way ahead of it's time, I was always ready to watch this and Motorcity along with my sis. The lore and world building was awesome, I was disappointed after I found out online that, the series wasn't continuing, at least other shows were still around at the time that I enjoyed
I didn’t have DisneyXd while this show was airing. But watched the movie and I’m honestly shocked that a ton of people didn’t get hooked. The designs are amazing especially the antagonist ones.
Honestly, once again Disney shows us how gloriously they can mismanage quality shows. We saw it with The Owl House, and in some part DuckTales. While I can partially understand their apprehension, with sales being the one thing that makes the world go round, but it's such a shame to see how poorly Uprising was treated. Bill Wolkoff went on record saying that Disney just didn't know how to market the show. He also stated that if Uprising had released 5-6 years later, in the age of streaming, it probably would have seen much more success. Not to sound like a clichéd hipster, but it truly was beyond it's time. Even in it's age, Uprising still holds up stylistically. It was a shame that it couldn't come to fruition, or at least tie together the plots left behind by the cancellation.
The show was ahead of its time and that was the problem. If the show came out nowadays, I'm confident it would be a hit. I was just looking up clips for this show a week ago, wondering why the show ended.
Tron: Uprising was such a great show, but like you said, viewership dwindled and Disney basically put it out to die at Monday midnights. I'd love if they could somehow bring it back. With the new Lightcycle attraction in Disneyworld and the new Tron movie, I really hope that it can gain a foothold, because it's a franchise that deserves it.
Im so glad someone is still talking about this series. I remember being in middle school falling in love with the series and through snips and small clips I wanted to know more about the world. Especially since 2010 with Legacy that became my main movie for a long time. I just hope they do another sequel and they get it right!
I just finished watching Tron Uprising 5 mins ago.. and I can't believe there isn't a Season 2 😭 I just found out it got canceled.... Nooo... we need more Uprising ✊️
Just like I said in Motorcity review: that, this, and Randy Cunningham were some of my favorite Disney XD shows, with their great animation and action, so it baffles me how Tron Uprising was so short-lived. It baffles me a bit more because when I first watched Over the Garden Wall, I thought Wirt’s voice sounded familiar, and then I looked it up and realized it WAS Elijah Wood, remembering that he also voiced Beck.
This was great and I hope they bring it back! I watch Tron Uprising from time to time because of the way it’s constructed. The stylized look is awesome 😮
I heard about the show when it was announced, but unfortunately, the idea of 2D+3D combination never interested me. Gosh if I only I knew how wrong I'd be. I watched the show a year ago and was blown away by it. It's fricken incredible. Animation, voice acting, and especially soundtrack. Trapanese did an amazing job there. Heck, I like some of his tracks even more than the ones from Legacy. Jordan, what do you think about watching and reviewing another underrated show like this which also lasted just 1 season - Green Lantern: the animated series? It was amazing(especially last like 8 episodes or so), but it was cancelled because GL movie didn't do well and toys weren't selling.
Thanks for putting this out, I wrote in a comment back in November asking about this and was surprised that you already had a video planned for January. I can see you are a real fan of the franchise and can relate to your disappointment over its unused potential. It would be great if Disney rented out it's license to the Tron franchise to people who actually want to do something with it so that we could get these threads resolved. I really want to see Paige's redemption, Beck's future, the uprising start, Tesler's defeat, Pavel's comeuppance, and Tron's eventual capture. Also want to know more about that vision Beck and Cyrus had and what it means, more Cyrus would also be good. So much storytelling potential and you know that this creative team will capitalize on every bit of it if given the chance.
The tron figures were one of the only action figures I ever purchased where the head broke off as I opened the box. So I didn't buy much more merch from that manufacturer (I forget who made them) because they were poorly made. That was a real bummer, and I wonder if that's part of why a lot of the merch didn't sell well, especially the toys.
The series was way ahead of its time. Visuals, lore and cinematography. If were released today on streaming would probably have more attention and viewers.
Tron: Uprising is literally my favourite show of all time. Being a huge sci-fi geek, especially one who loves computers, I always looked at old motherboards and imagined them to be little cities. And when I had learned there was a movie that was basically the same premise, I was immediately hooked. Unfortunate how Disney doesn't seem to care that much about its better IPs. Hell, if I had the money I'd freaking buy the Tron IP from Disney and finish the story myself. I even have a model of the -Rencom 682- Encom 786 Light Cycle. Tron was supposed to be Disney's sci-fi IP, but the same year Tron: Uprising premiered, Disney bought Star Wars. There are many reasons why I despise Disney now, but them leaving Tron: Uprising on a cliffhanger is most definitely the number one reason why.
i am one of the most die hard fans of tron ever (imo) and more than anything, i want another tron game. something similar to tron 2.0 on steam, mainly because that game was alot of fun, despite not being canon. its a shame to see such a unique franchise idea get thrown away by the public and in turn, its creators.
I did watch a bit of Tron Uprising on D+ when I had it seriously the show is so underrated deserves more love. And how Disney treats Tron is so unfair!
Tron is one of those properties, where most people remember the original movie as "cool" if they saw it when they were growing up (like myself), remembering the cool graphics and tie in arcade game (that brought the action set pieces to a new level).... but when people rewatch it, they realize how boring most of it was. The main character: Tron, isn't even the star of the movie, it's Jeff Bridges. Tron is rose-tinted nostalgia remembered fondly, but when examined under the harsh light of adult or contemporary criticism, it falls apart as being cheesy. I watched Tron: Uprising when it was broadcast. I liked the Legacy movie, but wasn't completely crazy about it. The animated show intrigued me and was entertaining in a world building way. It's a show that needed to run if Disney was serious about the Tron franchise. But Disney wasn't serious, they had their eyes on other franchises and IPs (as history attests). Disney could've easily justified just allowing the show to play out and get deep and then bridge completely into Legacy and then branch off into the sequel to Legacy. Like I said at the beginning, Tron, the original movie is kind of boring even though it had great ideas. Legacy had great graphics and the story was ok, but it seemed to be trapped by wanting to hold on to nostalgia and moving the lore forward past the obsolete technology of the original Grid of the 1980s. I think Tron as a franchise does better as an animated property than live action. It allows more creative and artistic freedom to show The Grid and characters in a truly creative way. Live action Tron will always fall short to me. Animation (either photo real 3D or like Uprising) is the path they should take.
We need a season 2 for this show one day. This show had a great story, and I still watch this show when I’m able, or try to. This show really stuck with me, and season 2 for Uprising would be just amazing. I genuinely would love to see how the events lead up to the movie, or even retcon things, either way, I’d be excited. And I’m happy there will be a Tron movie, just hoping Beck’s story doesn’t get forgotten.
I’m a science fiction author, and Tron has influenced so much of my writing. I love it so much, and I love listening to people talk about it. Thanks for the awesome video, man. See you on the Grid!
Tron legacy and uprising both felt like the natural evolution of 80's cyberpunk, however with a modern feel and look as we sifted from analog to digital. Tron make what I call digital-punk
I've been a big fan of Tron since I was a kid and this show is one of my favorite animated shows of all time. It is a shame how abruptly this series ended and how little faith Disney has in this IP. One thing I will say though is this is the series that inspired me to write and direct a motion capture action-packed movie that is like a more mature take on Tron in terms of the genre and setting, but not too mature like Cyberpunk, with an original story, original characters, a larger scope of scenery, and more unique world building elements. If there is so little interest in a franchise like this in terms of the larger audience and Disney doesn't want to take risks and go forward with something as great as if not better than this series was, I'll do it myself.
I remember finding this show on Netflix and absolutely loving it. It managed that perfect niche of fan service of old and new movie, and showing what life is like in this interesting other world when the heroes aren't around. It really scratched that itch left by shows like Batman Beyond.
This is one my most favourite Disney animated series I’ve seen when it came out 11 yrs ago when it first aired. It such a shame that it never gave much more deserving attention and got cancelled after the first season was done.
I did not know this even existed. Wow! Like the look and I'm interested. I also game and i don't recall TRON: Whatever it was game sub-title, either. I've also never heard Bruce Boxleitner's name pronounced that way... ? (Box•lighten•er) is how I've heard it for decades. 😋 As a child i saw the original at the cinema (best line was "That's a big door"). Consider mind blown at that time, not by the big door but by what the computer on my desk might contain or i could imagine it contains. I learned how to program a computer shortly afterwards, before finishing school. Yes, yes, yes, yes yes!
This show absolutely needs at least another season or two to tie everything up nicely. So many great characters and ideas, that we didn’t get see fully play out. Great video.
I absolutely LOVED this show. Look at all the names and talent involved, the themes and quality. It's a crazy that it never got a second breath. The constant moving time showings killed but it had so much promise that I can't help but hope that someday the stars will align and people will look back and see the value this show had and renew it somehow. One can always hope.
I remember watching Tron Uprising on tv when i was a kid, like a while back, I think I watch episode 1 and some episode i did watch the scene where lux sacrifice herself to save beck and tron And Pavel put on that small disc thing to make him stronger and crazy.
One of my all time favorite shows growing up. I got very sad when it ended while I wanted more. Torn Upraising is sadly in a gray area, not cancelled but not renewed either.
I liked this show growing up and was bummed out when it finished, really like the world that was built and the characters that developed as well as the story that was being told about the grid. Was a shame when it ended because I was looking forward to more from the animated show. But if there's going to be a movie that comes out later this year then I'm going to be looking forward to that and hopefully more gets added to the story of TRON, either as more movies or another animated show that picks up where TRON Uprising left of or after the new movie comes out. Either way I'm going to be looking forward to more TRON stuff.
with the new tron movie coming out, and the success of legacy sequels, as well as the anomaly of the final season of the clone wars, i still have hope they might finish this show.
I remember back in 2014, one day school ended earlier. I stopped by a movie arcade and asked the guy to give me the latest cartoon series, he suggested Tron and I obliged since he had a good taste. Once I arrived home, I immediately got into watching it and my mind was blown-away, both by the visuals, score and good writing as well as storytelling. I was tempted to watch all episodes at a go since I was free the whole day, but I saved a few of them for another time. Once I did finish the series, kept waiting for S2 but it never came, so I just rewatched S1 again and again. It was just that good. People talk about Arcane and how it got everything right, but this series was the OG. It really was ahead of its time.
Didn't know about Tron Ares, I'd just about given up hope for more Tron in light of the MCU and Star Wars occupying the Mouse's time and money. Thanks for doing this review, Uprising deserves more recognition.
Thanks so much for watching! Let me know your thoughts on Tron: Uprising and your thoughts on the cliffhanger ending! Also, check out my video on the video game Tron: Evolution here: ruclips.net/video/C9mbJiw8S_o/видео.html&ab_channel=JordanFringeGaming

And Tron 2.0 is the best Tron game ever made, despite not developed by Disney but Monolith
This show was ahead of it's time. The writing and direction of the series was top notch
The soundtrack as well
That’s the problem , most things that are ahead of their time are never appreciated because people are short sighted to long run vision and only see what’s right in of them …. Then 10 years later they realize they fucked up . Look at what happened to the psp .
The original film was literally ahead of it's time.
@@BrutusTheAnimator Mad underrated and it was flopped. Basically Disney Matrix before Matrix imo lol
It’s possible that disney is trying to revive tron, as far as I’m aware we’ve gotten a teaser for a game coming out later this year
ive been planning this comment for a while.
Supposedly there's gonna be a movie with Jared Leto, Tron:Ares
I think Tron is slowly coming back. The Light-Cycle Run ride at Disney World opening soon, the new Tron video game getting alot of work and attention put into it, as well as the new film STILL being worked on. Slowly it's all coming back, hopefully we can get a season 2 of Uprising as a Disney+ show or something
I have my doubt about the movie if daft punk isn’t involved
@@Quinold i have by doubts with jaret leto
@@Quinold I have my doubt about the movie if Disney is involved, with the stuff they've been releasing lately.
The new tron game looks pretty bad
Is there any word on the third Tron movie? I only saw like a trailer featuring Clu and that’s it. That was like… I don’t know, almost ten years now.
@@johnrodriguez5016 a lot actually, the code name for the movie, lead actor jared leto etc
I appreciate that you always credit the voice actors that bring these characters to life
i was OBSESSED with this show when it was first coming out and i watched every single episode dozens of times over as a kid, bought the soundtrack and listened to it constantly, etc. robert valley and alberto mielgo's styles influenced my own so much as a child and i didn't even realize it until this year when i rewatched it, and i'm blown away by HOW truly amazing it is. i really appreciate this video, i hope it leads to more interest in the show because most people i talk to have never heard of it and that's a travesty.
Show was absolutely a piece of art. Never liked tron, but this stuff was amazing.
I assume you also played the flash game? 😅
Shoutout to Robert Valley for being such an insane artist.
3 months ago I re watched this with my best friend and she LOVED IT!!!! really sad they didn't make a third season
They didn’t even make a second season
Looool
I loved this show. It took years for me to finally recover and forget. Why did you have to remind me about it. Now I’m Sad again.😢
I seriously can't praise it enough
The moment where Tron refuses his healing tube.
Avenge us!
We Must Avenge!
This one hurts, you know what's even worse? I'm from Latin America and I remember seeing the trailers on RUclips and being super hyped and the show never even made it here! (Although the dub exists but never aired). This show was brilliant, and it's on my top animated series that I usually recommend, hope the IP finds new life and hopefully Uprising can pick up interest one day :(
What are you talking about? I remember seeing it on TV. it was called "Tron la Resistencia" and was shown on Disney xd
@@ODSTdude234 And in Brazil (the other part of Latin America) it was "Tron: A Resistência".
It didn't arrive to Colombia, for example. I remember that I had to watch it on other sites because it was IMPOSSIBLE to watch on Disney XD :c
Having this run back to back with Motorcity was such a power move. Both of them are hugely underrated gems.
Yes! You finally covered Uprising and on a Friday! I was hoping you do this when you came out with the Motorcity video. Both IPs are gaining recognition they deserve all those years ago. Thank you, Jordan!
Thanks for watching!
Criminally underrated!!! This show was my life in highschool and I am upset very few people will ever see it.
The idea they explored later that Tron himself wasn't some squeaky clean, great influence was so interesting.
THANK YOU JORDAN! This show deserved so much better, I so happy to see people also want more from this series
I miss this show so much thank you for doing a video on this show
Thanks for watching!
I watched all of this thanks to Disney+. To be frank, I was shocked to find out that it only lasted one season. The cast was stellar. The artwork was amazing. The story was great. I have no idea what happened.
It was such an adult & atmospheric show! I miss it so much, you felt the more adult depth of storytelling
Still haven't forgiven Disney for cancelling this show.
One season isn’t enough 💔
I genuinely loved this show, it is a shame that Disney killed it off.
Disney derezzed there best chance of being given a good reputation, but here we are.
Thank you so much for making this video! I’m in class right now so I’ll watch it as soon as I’m out lmao. You the GOAT!!!
I was just looking up clips for this show a week ago, wondering why the show ended.
this was one of the best cartoons i watched as a kid. i remember i would watch new episodes when they would air on tv. Some of the best moments
Man, I loved this show and the expanded universe for the Tron: Legacy film itself.
I'm still sad that both projects died.
This was one of the coolest shows I watched growing up. RIP.
This show was so good, and had so much potential.
Has so much potential. I just want them to pick up where they left off
I just finished watching Tron Uprising 5 mins ago.. and I can't believe there isn't a Season 2 😭 I just found out it got canceled.... Nooo... we need more Uprising ✊️
Same here. Love those shows.
This show was definitely ahead of its time. If it had been released today it would have been a more significant success.
The series was way ahead of its time. Visuals, lore and cinematography. If were released today on streaming would probably have more attention and viewers.
This show was amazing! I'm sad Tron IP can never make it really far.
It hurt my soul that this show ended too soon.
This was an awesome show. Wish they would bring it back.
i am one of the most die hard fans of tron ever (imo) and more than anything, i want another tron game. something similar to tron 2.0 on steam, mainly because that game was alot of fun, despite not being canon. its a shame to see such a unique franchise idea get thrown away by the public and in turn, its creators.
IF DISNEY NEVER TOOK STAR WARS WE WOULD HAVE MORE TRON
We need a season 2 for this show one day. This show had a great story, and I still watch this show when I’m able, or try to. This show really stuck with me, and season 2 for Uprising would be just amazing. I genuinely would love to see how the events lead up to the movie, or even retcon things, either way, I’d be excited. And I’m happy there will be a Tron movie, just hoping Beck’s story doesn’t get forgotten.
I love tron legacy its so underrated no idea why people hate it
Really? Haven’t met a single person who says they hate it, most just don’t even know it exists
I’m a science fiction author, and Tron has influenced so much of my writing. I love it so much, and I love listening to people talk about it. Thanks for the awesome video, man. See you on the Grid!
I still love this show! I want Season 2 so bad!
I have been waiting for you to cover this for a long time! God you finally got to it!
Having Jared Leto tied to Tron 3 will be the final nail in the coffin.
I remember finding this show on Netflix and absolutely loving it. It managed that perfect niche of fan service of old and new movie, and showing what life is like in this interesting other world when the heroes aren't around. It really scratched that itch left by shows like Batman Beyond.
This was such a good show!
This is one my most favourite Disney animated series I’ve seen when it came out 11 yrs ago when it first aired. It such a shame that it never gave much more deserving attention and got cancelled after the first season was done.
It's too bad the people in charge were complete idiots and killed the show - the writing was fantastic
Loved the series. Stumbled across it and watched it many times.
a tron upload from Jordan Fringe? this is a dream
My favorite show as a kid. Wished it was finished
As a child i saw the original at the cinema (best line was "That's a big door").
This show needs more love, it is the perfect Saturday morning cartoon
The way u unlock memory’s is wild and I’m glad you can help me appreciate those shows from when I a kid
I have waited for this! Great work
It's Sad that Tron: Uprising wasn't used to its fullest extent. Just 2h3n we were given a heavy cliffhanger, it disappeared ...
i just rewatched this show as a 23 year old and i had fun watching all of it
I was obsessed with this show when it was airing, I'm so glad you made a video about this series. I feel like a lot of people have no idea what it is.
