V6's are back. They are under rated. I am so happy about this cause i built a buick v6 back when I was in high school. They have come a long way since then. Great for a daily driver car. For my weekend car, I prefer a 540 big block chevy!

Now that massive 540 is badass to the bone, and has already proven itself time and time again. But I do have to say the 302 will just naturally be superior due to its power to weight ratio over the 540.
My girlfriend just bought one of these. Lava red.. It has to be the most powerful v6 I've had the pleasure to drive. This is the first time in many years that the base Mustang doesn't look cheap in comparison to the GT. Ford has a winner on their hands in the entire 2011 Mustang lineup.
I like the new Mustang, that new V6 engine is very efficient and a real step ahead for American Car Industry. No more huge inefficient V8 engines producing what an Asian sport car can do with a V6. New Mustang 2011 got technology under the hood and it is able to stand side by side with modern sport coupe cars. Now the Mustang is a real competitor for "bangs for the bucks" cars like the Genesis Coupe. Please dont compare this car with a Luxury Wannabe G37. BTW, New Mustang looks great!!

@chrisstephens101 no, its got a solid rear axle, not a live one, but its a real good one. it actually handles better than the camaro, and the challenger -because the last one is super heavy, and a V6 cant handle it. - and the solid rear axle is also stronger. so it has good things from both types of suspension.

Pay attention this new V6 stang will be a huge hit for club racing and autocross for the next few years.
thank you! it's so obvious the driver resorted to drifting because the stang cant hug the corners at that speed. so what do you do? use the sliding to your advantage and pass it off as a driving style so ford doesn't look bad. we'll see the real comparison when they can drive them.
Yes, sir, you're right. But I do have a permit and the corvette will be my car when I turn 16. And I've driven the corvette plenty of times and I've driven a mustang. I'm pretty sure they're not comparable.

@roybotnik not to mention that any dealership will take less then what their sticker price is they mark it up so that then when you are in these things called negotiations that apparently only BMW does they will come down from their sticker b/c they marked it up.
i read about this mustang 0-60 in 5.4 however the only bad thing its got a governor and shuts off at 113. I hated fords all my life up until they started coming out with the new fusions and focuses and now THIS!! yeah this is my next car.
Nice Mustang, I just bought one in Grabber Blue! Had to find me a spare tire, don't feel comfortable driving around without one. other than that it's fast & handles great on curves.
@CorvetteRacingFan I agree with you. Everyone has a story about how they paid this or that depending on where you are in the country and a host of other factors. The fact is, the MSRP for the 2011 Mustang V6 is $22,145 and the 2010 370Z is $30,410. Everything else is meaningless because deals and different packages can be had on both sides, but the MSRP is what it is. The GT Premium is $32,845 which is a bargain IMO for the performance.
they could have easily avoided fishtailing. They did it because its fun and makes for a good video. Remember these cars are meant to be good fun to drive. Also I'm sure you can break the back tires loose on the Camaro as easily as the stang. Just put your right foot to the floor and...
I love my 2012 v6 mustang, it's a great all-around daily driver.

sweet dude!! it is such a badass car
