This whipped cream-like body moisturiser is an anhydrous formula (it contains no water). It is perfect for you if you are just starting out with formulating, if you are looking for a richer body moisturiser or if you wish to avoid the use of preservatives.
Ingredients
Phase A
Tacuma butter - 40%
Mango butter - 20%
Coconut oil - 10%
Phase B
Coco-caprylate - 15%
Alkanet infused rice bran oil - 8.40%
Phase C
Tuberose absolute (5% dilution in jojoba oil) - 0.30%
Neroli essential oil ( 5% dilution in almond oil) -1.20%
Rosemary CO2 extract - 0.10%
Phase D
Micronised Rice powder - 5%

@@FormulaBotanicaSchool even though this is considered an anhydrous product however there maybe some people who will use this product while in the shower as they are finishing up their shower routine can you please share what are some of the natural preservatives we can incorporate into the product and at what % usage rate and would that mean we would have to scale back on one of the other ingredients and if so which ingredients and by how much? Hi Janani, with any product you make, it's important to perform some stability tests which will give you an idea of how the product behaves in different temperatures and situations. It will also help you to determine the shelf life of your product. You don't need a preservative I notice it wasn't added
This is an anhydrous product and doesn't require a preservative. Anhydrous products need an antioxidant to help prevent rancidity in the oils, in this body butter we used Rosemary CO2 Extract. :)
I noticed you chose not to use liquid oils for this body butter. I figured the coco-caprylate was considered your oil. Maybe you preferred butters instead?
