      And they're imported from China, not made in russia, which means transport costs and margin will be added to the final price.

    I've been watching videos of these capsule houses for quite a while now. The outer shell is made of aluminum which is excellent. Does not rust, does not rot, does not catch fire and does not get eaten by termites. They would actually do very well in the United States, where the tiny houses are very popular because young people simply can't afford to buy regular houses anymore. But they aren't coming here due to various regulations and roadblocks put in place by the US government. But hey I hope they sell a lot of these in Russia and India!

    I love the open view through walls and glass ceiling and see it as a short term stay for living out of a suitcase, the addition of a bedroom would be a must as making a bed on the couch every night would get a little old after more than a few days. I see these as ideal for a village of them with trees and gardens as there are times when people need a short term stay for say 3 months as a great option instead of staying in hotels, say for conferences, or when a group from all over the world needs to gather and ponder new ways to move forward for the best of all humanity. These pods could basically be moved into position quickly. I see them as having great promise ahead...the addition of bedroom section is a must.

    Looks very much like a house boat with the shape of the bottom and the deck area. Can’t see this being the future of housing here in Russia as space isn’t a problem here. Maybe as a guest house in your garden or maybe for older children as they start working and going out into the world… I quite like it though..

    They are meant to be capsule homes. But if they came in different colours like greens or something else that would fit in with the environment and maybe had a bedroom module included, I think 🤔 they would be popular.

    USA here. Our mobile home industry makes lots of different products similar, except without all the glass. Some have their own engines and look like a bus, most are pulled with a pickup truck. Some of them are incredibly large and expensive, costing $500,000 and up for the high-end ones with their own engine. A "slider" is a common feature. A slider slides out from the main part of the mobile home and slides back in when on the road.

    Hi Russell, great video. I think it is going to be the way of the future for housing especially for people on a budget and in built up areas around the world. How expandable can you make it? I know you said you can put an extra room in it, but can you add more rooms? I think it would be better to add a veranda around the sides as I would imagine with all that glass it would get very hot in summer. What is it made of? It looks very high tech.

  • @JimmyCall
    @JimmyCall 27 дней назад +1

    The veranda could capture snow and water. Needs a wider/bigger roof near the outdoor balcony.

  • @RS-xx9ve
    @RS-xx9ve 27 дней назад +3

    Its well thought out. But Russia could do these from wood. With beautiful detailing and windows etc. Or at least put wood on the exterior. With modern protective materials the wood could last... many decades... or longer. Would be far more in keeping with Russian traditions. And could be used to make nice dashas for weekend and holiday use. Russia and China can be great allies. But Russia doesn't need to buy these from China. Russia is twice the size of China, with a fraction of the population. Russia needs to be proud of RUSSIAN culture.

      @@ivanlesovik4431 Because politicians in Australia can receive donations from property companies to continue pumping the housing ponzi scheme. I am very much interrested in those for Thailand. Would be perfect for Airbnb also. Another idea which I have is to buy just 2 or 3 of these and then connect it with another module like I form or X form... like I form 2 room, Y form 3 room, X form 4 room

    There is a tiny house movement here in the states but it's in the very early stages. Main issue is there are no properties that cater to communities for these types of dwellings on a large enough scale here in the states to make it more popular. Prices range as well depending on how big and what stuff you want included in it but definitely more affordable than a 500K median home price and all the expenses with owning a house like that. I think in a decade or so more properties here in the US will start to cater to Tiny home communities.

    I live in a 37 ft fifth wheel trailer and I love it, but I have to be honest within the first 5 years half of the systems broke down and had to be either replaced or just ignored. I would Hazard a guess that those power curtains would be the first to go the motor will burn out on eventually same thing with the skylight. It's all replaceable of course, but it's just something to keep in mind. The more complicated it is the more things can go wrong.

    There is qutie a lot of this in China. Very popular as cabins for rent in the turist spots (that is why it can integrate hotel style card for power supply), or also some utility rooms - i saw few as Police station on highway stop. They are not so expensive as mentioned - but of course there is big delivery cost for it to be added, and other import costs, as well as multitude of finishing options.

    I'd buy one in the US, but the larger model but without an inflated price. Like buying a car and the engine's extra. You have to have a bedroom or alone room, even if it's just a office/sleeping pod.
    You should tone down the sci-fi, and decorative aspects of it, and make it look utilitarian, like a jeep.
