Wow this was a pretty good little experiment, the fact that it has some heft to it maybe a good battery backup for your electronic devices when you don't have electricity. I like how it turned itself off.
Yeah, seems like a handy little tool to have so far. I’ll keep using it and let everyone know how it continues to perform.
Thank you!
Great video Jimmy 👍
Thanks very much for watching Tony!
I've owned my Gp4000 for over a year and honestly I use it constantly not just for jump starting my Diesels because it constantly has a battery drain from aftermarket crap!! I also carry them in all my vehicles including my RV. This battery pack jumper is a life saver and the boost button has saved me a ton on starting up my diesels. The biggest issue I've found is the cables do get hot extremely fast if you're trying to jump multiple times back to back.
Yeah, I've had the same experience with mine. Seems like a good tool. It does not seem to like a completely dead battery though, like most of the compact jump start batteries.
Thanks for watching!
@@JimmyMakingitwork oh yeah it hates completely dead batteries if I let my F350 die completely its pretty hit or miss on whether it will start with the booster.
Awesome Video
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
The gp2000 goes on sale for 60 bucks on Amazon.
That one can start up to a 9 liter gas engine or 7.0 diesel, that’s a bargain.
Also this gooloo might look cheap in photos but I’ve seen Scotty Kilmer, project farm highly rate these
Very true, in my experience they have been a good value!
Question about the Memory Keepalive: the output on the side of the GOOLOO is 15v (I Fluked it at 16+ v dc). Will this harm the electronics which run at 12v? Thanks! (Also, have used the GOOLOO GP4000 on a totally dead battery at below freezing temps..."boost" button turned the engine over like a brand-new battery on a summer's day. Good deal!). Thanks again.
Awesome to hear!
The unloaded voltage might read slightly high. I wonder what it will read connected to a battery? It should not cause any issues. 16v is about the max though.
@@JimmyMakingitwork Thanks, Bud! I may just go with connecting the leads from the jump box to the battery leads while replacing the battery. Cheers!
I've tried using an obd2 memory saver with an audew jumpbox with the included cigarette adapter but the memory isn't saved. Do u think this jumpbox will work with the memory saver?
It should work from the "power outlet port" on the jump box. It wouldn't work from the jump start cables since they turn off the jump box when no voltage is sensed for protection of the device.
I will try it next chance I get in my week in the shop series.
Thanks for watching!.
I’d like to see how well it performs in Montana, where at least six months out of the year the temps drop below 30° F.
Especially on a -20° day
Hmmmm, yeah, I think it might struggle in those conditions, but who knows for sure. But since regular car batteries do, I'd guess a jump box would. It seems to not like open or completely dead batteries too much either, but those are pretty unusual.
I have it, it works well, but I leave it on floor of truck so it warms up..when it's 0 out and left in truck over night it goes in fail safe mode. But it has started every piece of equipment I've had to go out and jump this winter
It will work. It's an amazing little pack.
The new gooloo models has a built-in heater for cold starts.
The cigarette lighter adapter port is 15VDC, not 12VDC
Thanks for watching!
Hi Jimmy, LOVE your channel! I just purchased the GP3000 that claims 600 starting and 3000 peak amps but only 59.2 watt/hrs compared to the less expensive GP2000 that claims 500 starting / 2000 peak but has 73 watt/hrs. Hoping you or anyone else could explain this to me. I contacted the company and was told "all we can tell you is this is for marketing and price purposes...", when I asked them which one was more powerful they said the GP2000, that makes zero sense to me, their own advertisement says the GP3000 is for 9.0l gas 8.0l diesel compared to 8.0l gas and 7.0l diesel for the GP2000, can anyone explain or was the rep maybe confused? Maybe by "more powerful" they meant "greater capacity"? Only thing I can think of honestly. Either way I love the Gooloo (looked at it mainly because of your videos) and it is a Beast. I jumped a dead tractor and I thought it was going to blast off lol.
That is awesome to hear!
These jump batteries are super handy, but the specs are sometimes not what they claim. I usually expect about half of what they advertise. I have found that the higher the amperage "Rating" the stronger they seem. to be for larger engines. Oddly also how heavy the are means a lot. The lighter ones have less reserve no matter the rating.
It would be great if they just rated them with more accuracy, maybe they'll regulate them at some point if they don't correct it on their own. It's a problem in this market right now across all brands.
@@JimmyMakingitworkAre the users supposed to charge it overnight after complete usage?
The 100 amp ll charger would be nice if it didn't cost almost half the price of jump pack
Yeah, some of these tools are fairly expensive.
My og gooloo 4000 charges to only 3 bars , does anyone know a fix?
If it's under warranty I'd contact them. If not I'd try a different charge set up...But it might be nearing it's end.
@@JimmyMakingitwork I literally just got it two days ago smh . Damn not sure if I'd trust this company now.
@michaelmostoles2125 Id def contact the seller about it!
Test it with a diesel truck when you get a chance. Would love to see the results
Thanks will do!
So far it seems like it will work on anything where the battery is weak, but not stone dead.
Does this still work after 2 years?
Oh yeah, still going strong!
Awesome!!!
Glad to hear it!
I bought 2 titans one for me and one for my brother for Christmas. :)
We both have a ton of cars and a good jump starter is a need lol.
Thanks for your reply!
@JimmyMakingitwork Wow!
I am going get 2 as gifts 🎁 🎁 for the holiday.
