I really love your style! Really appreciate the colour and leaf planting opinions. I often leave new arrivals in pots in the beds until I feel happy. Not always easy to find the perfect plant that looks right.
Another great video. I have the same aspect garden as you, with one border shady, you've given me ideas of plants that I didn't think would work that side, that now I'm going to rethink, as I only have evergreens at the back, it looks a bit bare in the winter. Thanksfor sharing
Hi. It’s a bit easier for me to do videos on shade plants as lots of my garden is dappled shade due to the palms. Also I have lots more evergreen plants for shade than I do for sun. If you see a video of my garden all the left side tends to be sun loving plants and the right side is shade. Sunny borders tend to be good for the tender plants like Colocasias and Cannas. I have a family members garden that is full sun so I may do a video of the plants I put in that border. Cheers.
@tikitropicals65 Thanks. I hope you get a chance to do the video of the sunny border. Do you have any plant ideas for a sunny border. I do have some really small palms in my garden. They might take 3-4 years to create the dapple shade I am after
So theirs quite a few ways to plant a sunny border and your location and soil conditions will depend on the plants you can grow. If free draining you can go for more arid plants like Yuccas and Agaves. Also plants like Chamaerops Phormiums Cordylines like these free draining conditions but with a bit more moisture. If your on clay and the soil hold plenty of water you may be better off going for plants like bananas Cannas Colocasias. Lots and lots of options.
Hands down the best planting designs on t'internet! And I watch em all! Did I hear you say you feed them seaweed mix or did i imagine it? Thanks again for the great inspiration!
Thank you that’s a compliment indeed. I do use liquid seaweed but it’s more a stimulant than a feed. I use chicken pellets and blood fish and bone mixed into the borders to help feed through the growing season. Cheers
Merci pour vos conseils respect pour votre travail une question par contre je suis surprise de ne pas voir de voir de fushias dans les jardins dans le mien il y en a partout

Thank you and I’m glad it helps. I’ve just done one finally for a sunny border as well if you’re interested. Cheers

Thank you. Yeah I agree I often put the pot in the border to see if I’m happy with my decision. I still often end up changing it though. Cheers

Really like your video on plants for a shade. What I don't see much of is plants for full sun. Would you ever do such a video
