    I've never had a single doubt about solanke coming good. Fans talk about him having a slow start all the time, but he had an injury. People forget this. Solanke is a work horse, with an incredible engine, this guy presses, he moves defenders around, he finds great spaces and boy oh boy he can finish. This guy is still settling in and will continue to get better and better. 24 premier league goals is my prediction for big Dom. Coys

    I for one wanted Solanke over Toney. And he’s been better than I’d expected.

    Ive seen dozens of great strikers come and go at Spurs since the 1960s starting with the greatest of all Jimmy Greaves. Solanke is good for us now. He has been called up by England and will do well if he does what he did yesterday consistently.

    Ange rarely misses. People just think they know more than they do. Ange has forgotten more about about football than a pleb like Souness would ever know.

      Yep he has a truly excellent record in the transfer market. At Celtic he made 15 signings, and I count 12 hits and only 3 misses. And of those 3 misses, one was very unlucky with injury (Ideguchi), one was a work in progress that has kicked on since leaving for more game time (Oh), and only one was a true flop (Bernabei).

    He has a very good sense of where the ball may end up. I don't think you can teach that sense of instinct and however he reads the game he makes the right choice. This spurs team seems to be sharing out the goals a lot more than under the Kane period and it's great having the option with Son cutting in and out. I think he's also had good management in how he is being used. Defo' think it's exciting times. Just a question over injuries now!

    I was very relaxed when I realised Ange was using data approach and personal journeys to sign players. These two approaches rarely disappoint. Even with Werner, I still think he will find his grove in front of goal. Solanke has surprised me without his goals, but I know the goals will come. Top player who gives 100%.

    His work rate is exceptional. The pressing is immense, we used to get that from Harry in he's early days

  • @stellarsjay1773
    @stellarsjay1773 9 часов назад +2

    His work off the ball follows the Harry Kane example. He provides that “big guy” presence in the six yard box, and works hard for his team.

    I was very wrong 🙋🏻‍♂️ - when it was announced that he was on the verge of signing I thought 🤦🏻‍♂️. I’d seen the stats about his poor first touch and believed it and was telling everyone why he would be a mistake. When he arrived I have supported him highly. And he has proved me wrong and other doubters wrong. Now I’m very happy that he plays for us. And look forward to seeing more to come from him.

      @@SonnyTalksSpursnot just yesterday but his performance against City was top level. So much running, such a high work rate, he’s the perfect player for us for how we play. He still gets criticism from supporters of other teams who don’t know what he brings but in time maybe they too will realise what Solanke brings and just how much of a perfect fit he is.

    I keep seeing this thing that our fans were anti-Dom? I never saw anything but I'm also not on the cesspit that is X.
    He presses like crazy, does everything at the front line, won't get 20 goals a season on the stat sheet but will have a contribution to dozens a season. Even if he never touches the ball.

    While our home form is strong, our away performances lack consistency. This inconsistency needs to be addressed next season, which will be Ange's third in charge. He must find a way to ensure his team performs at a consistently high level, regardless of where they play. No more excuses next season Ange.

      @roboi2241 13 часов назад +2

      No, it needs to be addressed this season, there's 3 weeks before the next away game and I'd expect it's being drilled into the players. Accepting mid-table by leaving it to next season is no good for anyone and I'd imagine would leave Ange's job on the line if the issue was merely put on the non urgent to do list
