In head cannon the sentinel started out as all lady because after the ancient war thier where much more ladies then men because the old armies where predominantly male. Durids formed a separate military branch often works with others "like the US Marines" Still formulating how their militia and navy function
Demographics might have played an indirect role, definitely, but the stated lore reason for the Sentinels starting off as all-female was their association with the Sisterhood of Elune, which was all-female even before the War of the Ancients. Druids also have many other duties; their military role in night elf society is definitely secondary to their stewardship of nature and of the Emerald Dream. The night elf navy is part of the Sentinels (at least the military personnel on board and the command of the ships themselves, not so sure about the sailors). It answers to Shandris Feathermoon (and, thus, to Tyrande Whisperwind) and to whichever expedition commander they are assigned to. There is no official militia; the sentinels also serve as the police. Still, to me it feels a bit weird to model the structure of medieval-ish fantasy armies on the US military.
Hey bro. I wanted to ask a question kind of off topic from your videos but like... I unfortunately havent been able to play since before the return to karazhan patch in legion. Hows wow doing in your opinion? Is it worth 15 a month? Is it really as bad as many people say?? Even if the story is awesome?
Right now WoW is very active. Not only the Live game had it's latest patch a while back that haded to new zones - One being like a playground. But also the Classic WoW released this Monday and everyone is having a blast. If you come back. Come back to try classic in a week or two when the Queues aren't 8.000 people.
@@Teeironor it's the only mmo I've ever enjoyed. For the very same reason. The only other 2 mmos that interest me to a fault is neverwinter and eso. But the art style I dont enjoy as much. Nor do I enjoy the world and lore as much. So I've never put more than a few weeks of game time into them
@@andrefilipe9042 I was thinking about doing that. I've been doing my best to keep up with the story and honestly I'm impressed with story telling from legion and battle for azeroth. Though their are a few things I feel they should have done better or differently entirely. And just some small things they really shouldn't have left out. A pet peeve of mine is they never had the other aspects , especially alexstraza mourn yseras death. They've had a pseudo funeral for malygos and even deathwing. Also Agamaggan isnt white. He is orange and all it would have taken for them is to put his module orange. So that was kind of lame. As well as I think that kalecgs should have been involved with the secret group of blue dragons in the broken isles and not have khadgar doing everything. These are minor things but important to me.
@@andrefilipe9042 I'm also glad they are using Gallywix. My all time favorite character in wow. Well atleast in top 10. Anduin has always been up there and I've liked them since cataclysm. I wrote a wow forum long ago called "Gallywix: The Great and Greedy" . Maybe give it a read and tell me what you think. It was written by Lorejunky96 or something. The avatar is a female goblin
@@Teeironor The old class and race descriptions that were removed from the game for example. Lore facts like druids being seen only rarely or the Forsaken explicit saying that the horde is like a tool. The things that were removed but could still be prevalent, and being used as lore facts?
I do use stuff that was in vanilla in my Lore Facts and in my lore videos in general already. Even part of the information in this video was from vanilla and was removed with Cataclysm. I'm not going to exclude any lore that is post-classic.

You're asking the wrong person, since I dislike MMOs in general and only play WoW for the story.
