Its probably makes sense for them to patrol and maintain peace in key areas but shouldn’t put themselves at undue risk and for what? The situation in Haiti is complex and unlikely to be resolved in our lifetime. It would require a decades-long-term imposition of martial law with checkpoints to restore confidence. Since this isn’t within the Kenyan Defense Forces’ mandate, it’s fortunate Kenya didn’t deploy its military, especially considering the low funding. The USA would need to provide air support and military drones to ensure the Keyan militarized Police can be more effective.
