    SUDAN'S never ending war! Stop attributing these country-specific conflicts to the whole continent. Not only does it draw attention away from the country in question but it also feeds into the "Africa is a country" stereotype and is offensive to the countries that are actually stable and improving.

    • @mikatekombambo1540

      Please educate us, which African countries are stable and improving?

    • @nellym46664
      @nellym46664 16 дней назад +5

      @mikatekombambo1540 You could easily google it yourself, but I'll name some obvious examples like South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Mauritius & the Seychelles. As a matter of fact, all African states south of the equator are stable & improving except for Mozambique and maybe the DRC.
      The landlocked & jihadist-infested Sahel countries on the north side of the equator is where most conflicts occur while most of the coastal nations remain stable with varying levels of economic growth. Nigeria is the biggest disappointment though, having lost half of its economic value.

    • @mikatekombambo1540
      @mikatekombambo1540 16 дней назад +6

      I won't spend a lot of energy on this. I'll leave corruption and political instability out and I won't link the similarities of SADC's challenges. Also, I'll just pick one or two examples making the countries you listed unstable and not improving.
      A country with high violence and crime is not stable and improving. South Africa is bleeding.
      A country with high health system challenges and a high unemployment rate is not stable and improving. Botswana is bleeding.
      A country with high levels of inequality is not stable and improving. Namibia is bleeding.
      Countries very vulnerable to climate related risks are not stable and improving. Mauritius and the Seychelles are bleeding.
      Maybe my standards of stability and improvement are high. These countries are still extortion and exploitation grounds. The status of women and children in these countries?
      You can fight the BCC's title without feeding us the fallacies of stable and improving countries in Africa.
      Bye.

    • @nellym46664
      @nellym46664 15 дней назад +6

      @mikatekombambo1540 You're right. Your standards are unrealistically high. Not only do you focus only on these countries' negative aspects while completely ignoring their positives but you also exaggerate the impact of some of their issues as if that paints an image of the whole country.
      No, these countries won't suddenly look like Dubai in a few years however that doesn't mean that they aren't on an upwards track.

    • @gimmeprivacy
      @gimmeprivacy 15 дней назад

      @mikatekombambo1540Based on your argument, a lot of countries in the world especially the so called super powers are not stable either.
      Not only Africa. A whole Russia is involved in a war against Ukraine and is unable to exercise democratic powers.
      USA is in conflict against drugs, homelessness, gun violence, migration, it's healthcare (that they had to resort to an assassination) and so many more.
      UK and Canada's governments can't even decide on what they want to do with themselves.
      China on the other hand is running on a veiled dictatorship.
      Every country has problems, I'll keep my democratic corruption over all that nonsense.

      The main points to adress would have to do is remove indefinite military conscription and to ensure there are policies free speech & democratic elections, writing a consitution etc (basic things a new country should have had). Find some way to deal with the economic stagnation by growing the tourism sector maybe at the coasts of Massawa and maybe undergoing some sort of revival process for asmara.
      Ethiopia and Sudans situation is going to cause a scar. The damage might heal overtime but there will be proof of that wound considering there is internal divisions, people in our region love to hold grudges so it will linger for a while.

    The worlds most ignored humanitarian crisis and most ignored crisis, Sudan is a failed state don't get me wrong you probably have areas that are relatively good periods of low to no conflict and people that have done well, but this country has been in perpetual state of conflict ever since independence from Great Britain and Egypt, the South Sudan while on paper they were one country they were not the same people as the north and were not administered in colonial times as really one entity and they not mostly Muslim, mostly Christian and indigenous religions the south fought 2 civil long civil wars for different reasons and when finally given a choice they voted to leave overwhelmingly sad that they descended into their own conflict shortly after independence though. That conflict kinda similar to the one in the north 2 wartime leaders fighting but good that the peace deal has settled it. Darfur now that region another region while on paper was administered as part of sudan but was not really treated the same only they have more people claim arab descent and people who are muslim, the BBC chose to frame this conflict as a climate change one the fulfilling the climate agenda but the actual sudanese say lack of many things were the key drivers of if and what driving this civil war is battle for power and as long as money from other persons involved it is longer to end funny part about the sudan civil war not you have nations from the outside that aiding in many ways both sides they as this is not a battle of ideology or ethnicity this a power thing, initially it was about folding in the RSF into the sudan army both generals said ok we will do it then RSF want to stretch it out the sudan army says in shortest time RSF general says give me 2nd highest rank sudan general says no way jose, sudan generals say give up the goldmines RSF no i need them i got them sudan general say no they were illegally acquired or forced basically both guys see each other as a threat in some way even though both know each other well work with each other for many years
