We are back with the ownership review of our brother's car. This German car - Skoda Slavia has never failed to impress us or anybody else who has gotten inside it. Apart from its good parts, we have tried to preview the negatives as well from our driving experience of 8000 kms.

this was the best out of about 50 vids i saw on slavia, the outside footage while car is in action was the best of all. I sail on ships so cant see cars on road now but this video was really almost real. specially while the car is moving from outside and real calm explanation. thanks a lot bro. subbed.

Excellent review.. u have mentioned regarding low AC performance as against its rivals. Could be because of 1 ltr engine..
Btw is it a concern on a hot summer day. Kindly revert...

I don’t think low AC performance is due to 1.0 L engine. We get same AC performance in 1.5L as well. This goes for both Slavia & Virtus.
If temperature goes above 42-43 degree, then AC takes some time to cool. But the ventilated seats works fantastic to compensate the heat till then.
If you live in an area where temperature does not exceed 40, you will feel AC works as normal as any other car !

I was looking forward for Slavia but the price of 1.5 litre seems too high. Also the music system screen size reduction in latest 2023 model is a bit disappointing with increased price.
Have you tried its automatic version too? Any idea if it’s better than manual in terms of overall performance?
I am using automatic transmission sir. Its fabulous in terms of driving.

Great video bro, I own Style 1.0, so correcting few points:
1. Fog Lamp is yellow
2. Kushaq and Taigun both went for Gncap testing not only Taigun
3. 1.0 version doesn't have ACT technology, it's only available in 1.5 engine
4. I drove it around 150 many times I never find it running out of power, do check your tyre pressure or try running it in S mode for some fun
I saw car belongs to Ajmer RJ01, I belong to Jaipur but staying in Bangalore, I drove Slavia from Bangalore to Jaipur , couple of months back, it performed super amazing.

I would like to check on the point of driving 1 litre on highways with regards to power & touch the top speeds say 120 -140 ? Pls share the experience

@@subramaniyanthiagarajan3980 Have drove many times at 150, no issues whatsoever.
For extra fun I put it in S and gearshift changes drastically, car fires up till 120 at 5th gear and after that 6th gear kicks in, which shoots the car to 160 quickly.
@@subramaniyanthiagarajan3980 No problem at all, drove in Western Ghats, Kodaikanal etc.. with full loaded car.
No issues, drives like a charm.
This 1.0 and 1.5 ltr engines are one of world finest and efficient engines

Both the cars are almost same. Its just about owning an SUV or owning a sedan ! Its good that you are planning for 1.5 engine for both the cars. My suggestion would be that dont go for 1.0 engine, it gives quite less mileage and power on highways.
1.5L Skoda turbo engine will give you about 14-15 mileage in city and much more on highways.

Could you plz confirm how effective it is now after 6months of usage.
Performance is still average, but it does the job.
If you compare it with other car’s ac - the cooling is little less.

I like the car. I just wish the sunroof was a little bigger. Else the quality is pretty good.
We wish for the same sir, but Skoda is quite adamant on this size sunroof for safety reasons. If you’d like we can suggest you good options with panoramic sunroof !

After the speed of 120 kmph, the engine struggles a bit if notice properly. You can gain more speed after 120 also but engine will not perform that much aggressively.
Can you pls tell me how to use auto rain sensor..it's not working in my slavia style variant.
Sir there are adjustment levels for sensitivity at the wiper’s lever. You can adjust according to that.
If still you face the problem, kindly contact the service, they will resolve it.
I faced the same issue initially, but service centre people fixed it and it is working fine till date.

For wireless charging, you can try putting your phone on the inclined base under the AC. Which mobile phone are using - Android or Apple ?

Pls do let me know my brother'. My brother got a 1litre tsi the arm rests are firm. In fact it's the same. The reason I ask you this is have you noticed something I haven't
I think the straps were little loose at that time. Now we have fixed it perfectly sir. Great to hear that you also own Slavia.
Sirf Rajasthan me nahi, Maharashtra me sabse bhayanak sadake milengi. Poore india me sadake kharab hai, apko agar thik- thak sadak chahiye to toll bharna hoga. Petrol aur diesel per prati litre saat se aath rupaya road tax hai, aur four wheeler kharidte waqt aap ek lumpsum tax bharte ho, phir bhi agar apko thik - thak road chahiye toh toll bhi bharo. India me tax collection ke alawa government kuch nahi karti.
Bilkul Sahi kaha sir aap ne. Roads ki halat kharab hoti ja rahi hai aur tax badta ja rha hai

Driving on hills with this 1.0 L engine with full load will not be a problem at all. I’ve driven this with 5 persons on a very steep road like Pushkar, Mt. Abu etc, never felt it underpowered. Auto hill hold performed very well !

Confused between Skoda Slavia and VW Virtus 1.0 , which one you will suggest ?
Hello sir ! Basically both the cars are originated from the same parent company, so overall feel and finish is almost same.
As I have explained in the video as well that in my opinion Slavia carries a fresh outside look whereas Virtus look kind of VW Jetta.
Performance, mileage, inside space, fit & finish - everything is almost the same, its just about the physical appearance.
Kindly let us know your final call, as this question can help lot of our viewers to decide between the two.
Also, consider that which company’s service centre is in your reach for routine services & check ups. This will be much more helpful in your decision making !
