Being Mexican and Spanish being my native language I wish they had the title in its original language, since the cover is gorgeous. Thank you for the video! Pedro is beloved in Latin America and I subscribed!
Elvira, glad you enjoyed this review of this wonderful film from Pedro Almodovar! I love this filmmaker’s style and I also enjoyed Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown which is also in the Criterion Collection. I look forward to seeing more movies from this director. Welcome to the channel!
Glad to hear that you enjoyed watching that Almodovar's film. Being myself a Spanish person I was (more or less) brought up seeing Almodovar's pictures. That Criterion Edition looks much better than my "cheap" Dvd. Have you seen "The law of Desire"?. In my opinion of his best works but, as you well know, he has so many great films.. Stay Safe and Greetings from Spain
Hello, Jose. As you can tell from the video I really enjoyed this film very much. I have not seen The Law of Desire but will have to check out at some point. You stay safe as well!
Timothy, that is a great question that I think a lot of folks are wondering about. I love to see the new 2K and 4K restorations from Criterion but would love to see that work realized on the higher resolution format with HDR. Fingers crossed for 2021 to be the year they make the move!
I couldn’t agree more my friend , AAMM is a bonafide masterpiece and one of 3 almodovar films I own , the others are TIE ME UP/TIE ME DOWN and my all time favorite LIVE FLESH, I’m not a fan of his work In General ( he’s got way too many duds and seen 15 of his films ) but those 3 are enough for me. Just until recently I’ve owned the original AAMM dvd since it came out in early 2000, I haven’t watched any criterion’s lately but I’ve got my fingers crossed for an announcement of OLDBOY and THE KILLER and HARD BOILED.
Modalsoul, thank you for your comment. I think my next Almodovar title from Criterion may be Tie Me Up Tie Me Down based on your feedback. We’ll see if the other titles you mentioned will make into the collection at some point. Keep enjoying the movies!

I really wonder what Criterion is waiting for and why they haven't adopted 4K yet. All the other boutique labels have done it.

I was just thinking that!
