An XM pulled up to me in my M550i at the car wash and I must admit it was stunning. Too big for me to buy, but it looked amazing inside and outside. The inside was so handsome.

@@kenny.gabriel.2 XM is too heavy, 0-60 might look fast here but after 60-100 is where it loses its torque and starts to really drag you down with all the weight. It barely merits the M badge as much as e46 with overly powerful mapping and turbocharger. M550i on the other hand... well, you own it so you know it. It may look cool, but if you want something big and cool and fast you always have other better options within that price range. The only rational reason you might want to buy it is if you use M badge as purely showoff symbol like Maybach but you don't want people to think you're old.(Midlife crisis, too much on the nose) They made it so you can rationalize the showoff part of your ego by saying when you want to ride with pure electric, like if you have to commute 10 miles back and forth every day with electric charger at home and work, but you don't wanna waste the car's engine on it, so rich men with midlife crisis can explain all this to their wives or whoever they're shagging at the time. Or maybe you are one of those people who just love BMW/M series too much so you 'gotta catch them all'. That is another valid reason, given how rich you may be by doing shit like that.

I like how the XM that is supposed to be the M brand staple gets destroyed by basically all the other M cars in production in both handling and acceleration
on the x5M comp you had the gearbox in comfort, the 3 dots beside 1D shows the 3 levels of gearbox shifts time you had it in the slowest, needs to be level 3 not 1 :D 6:09
@@richardchen3413 it was is sport mode but the gearbox was in the least aggressive mode. in the M models you have 3 modes for the gearbox in this clip the x5 was in the lightest mode
@@alguemai9666 really the only difference is a little more power and the exhaust. I have the bmw xm and before I got the XM I test drove the x5 m60i with full option and the x5 m competition. Not much different but if you’re gonna spend the money on the M competition, I would go the XM any day of the week all black.
You forgot to increase the shift aggressiveness setting in the X5M, it should be at bar 3.. 🙄🙄 I swear, no one actually pays attention to what theyre doing with these cars..
Porsche cayenne turbo hybrid with gt pack in the uk 739 bhp and 3.6 to 62mph topping out at 190 .but the amazing thing it get 160miles plus to the gallon and looks way better than these lumps
OMG why not use sprint mode??? Pull and hold the down paddle 🏓 The dash will display /SPRINT!!!! THEN YOU WILL GO FASTER. I've got 3.89 0-100km so in miles faster again. it will dump the battery power into the electric motors in the gear box.
ICE all the way. The EV XM will ultimately be the slowest/worst selling bimmer of all time. Its just irrelevant to a customer base that wants exhileration

It’s a flagship. Its soul purpose is to feature new technology which in turn will be passed down to the lower models. Like The A8 for Audi.
