    Sport Mode gives the best fuel consumption?

      My experience on long trips with multiple cars is yes. I know it sounds against the modes, but reasoning is, you have all the power and therefore with loaded car, you don't need to press accelerator as deep as with Normal or Eco.

      @@upshifter if in sport mode on motorways do you use maximum regenerative braking ?

    • @upshifter
      @upshifter  Месяц назад

      @@guitarmuso1 No, I use the least possible, I only use regenerative braking for slowing down the car, or when I go down the hill to either slow it down when needed, or I put it in regen 1 or 2 and keep the car moving/ increasing speed by gravity whilst getting charge into battery.

    do you find the engine in petrol mode is noisy as hell ,mine is

    • @upshifter
      @upshifter  Месяц назад

      At times yes, but as I am driving 90% time in Sport mode, this mode doesn't let battery drain so much, so the engine doesn't need to turn on so hard for recharging in my experience. Where I heard is much more was hybrid of Renault Clio with 1.6 when it was new.

      @@upshifter More so also when it’s starting up or idling it’s like a tractor

      Yeah I think I know what you mean, when it's cold it sounds like grass cutter or sth. But many hybrids do that, this week I have new CR-V and it does that also. Is slightly better isolated though.

      @@upshifter what a difference in sport mode .first time the battery showed full charge very quickly.once fully charged then I switched to Ecco as it was urban driving .so much better thanks for the tip

      @@guitarmuso1 happy to help. I think in the city for consumption alone, Normal or Eco which are using more battery are better. But for long distance driving and particularly motorways I always use the car in Sport mode and manage regen myself manually all the time when driving.
