Dany is as amazing as anyone else and she deserves all the respect and recognition in the world! Bravo and congrats DANY! It's YOUR guitar now, rock it proudly! So often, the people we idolize turn out to be something less than we thought they were. Clearly not the case here. I didn’t know much about Lzzy Hale before this tour, but I can say I am impressed with her as a person. It brings me great joy to see The Warning, and Dany in particular, get the praise and recognition they deserve. Thank you so much for putting this together Michelle.

    That wasn't just a guitar, that felt like an official induction to the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. 🙌🏼

    • @FranklinOPT
      @FranklinOPT 5 месяцев назад +1

      An induction without the politics and waiting years or decades. An induction from the heart. All great music comes from the heart. I became musically aware in 1966 and thought that rock faded away in the United States in the late ‘nineties. St. Vincent restored my faith in popular music, The Warning are restoring my faith in the viability of rock among young people, and Lzzy passed the torch when she paid it forward. Perhaps women are leading rock into the future and leading young people to the spirit of rock. Or, at least, we’re seeing a link between the empowerment of women and the empowering energy of rock music.
      Thank you for your patience with my TLDR.

    Such an epic moment in Rock history: Young sisters start playing Rock Band The Video game -- then tons of hard work and passion -- ending in Lzzy F'n Hale bowing to you and handing you her guitar and saying your band inspires her. In the Irving video, you can see other band members watching their set, and the reaction of the crowd when Dany hits the high note in Enter Sandman... The world is infinitely better with Dany in it.

    • @berwinenzemann3468
      @berwinenzemann3468 2 года назад

      You really believe that story with the Rock Band Video Game? Look at the facts. Their father who is their manager pushed them to become professional musicians and play together as a band since early age. They are not just some sisters who randomly decided form a band and got a little support from their parents. There are interviews where they talk about how they were taken out of school and homeschooled so they had the time to practice, take tons of private lessons with several music teachers, do promotion events and live performances and so on. Don't get me wrong, they are an awesome band. But it's one of those cases where the parents push their children to become stars. There's a bright side and a dark side to it. These three young ladies are one of the best hard rock bands in recent years and they will make it big without a doubt. But they didn't have a normal childhood and they weren't allowed to make their own choices. They were pushed and manipulated. If the outcome was worth it is hard to tell.

    • @davidkozin

      @@berwinenzemann3468 - I am familiar with the intensive training. The family does not deny any of the basic facts you are listing, minus your judgement of their emotions/desire/intention and other outside observer mind-reading. I can do the same, and get a different result.
      I have listened to their interviews, talked with them online, met the family and they are very consistent with something that can’t be taught in their interviews and what existed early on in their performances. Sure, the Intensive classical training/ early access to talent to work excellent talent and access to studios (but many kids do around the world).
      They didn’t do the “(Country) got talent” direction or TV shows (and most people know their history better than me to comment that I believe the rumor is they turned down overtures to do this / particularly after their TedX talk), but I have played alongside, worked and judged well over 1000 musicians starting with the 4th grade orchestra and Marching Band to Interlochen Music Camp & World Youth Symphony. We can force kids to hit a certain level of technical proficiency, but it doesn’t take that long for a listener with experience to pick out the kids that would at best max out at mastery of technical proficiency (if drilled into them) but then there are young kids that are excitable about what they are doing and can connect with the music without even instruction. Give them the right ingredients, then you get The Warning. The entire reason I am following The Warning is because by the age I discovered them (a year ago) I identified such a rare combination of a genetic lottery, technical skills, maturity (the humility to admit needing help with nuances of Spanish from their mother for Narcissista), but most importantly it is so easy to pick out the kids who are passionate about what they do and I don’t deny the opportunity, but the band members are pretty open about the impact of their parent even when not a glowing moment for a camera interview.
      My music playlist was Jascha Heifetz to Bernstein conducting the LSO on Edward Elgar’s “Nimrod” from his Enigma Variations. I pick the latter even though the English musicians of the London SO playing an English composer they felt was being destroyed by Bernstein for taking that piece at a tempo almost 1/2 that of two other conductors I have heard play with that same orchestra, but Bernstein connects. Then, RUclips popped up The Warning video from Patreon, and I heard and saw a rare sister group in a genre of music I never listen to. But, as musicians they have a rare intangible gift for communicating with music that made me put a song like Dust for Dust to replace Bach’s Chaconne. Kids who don’t love what they do and are faking or gritting their teeth through it are so easy to pick out. I worked with Parents that pushed their kids but resistance is really easy to see and the musical landscape is littered with them rebelling to be philosophy majors or math teachers. I know there are plenty of TWA members who could give a better answer. But because they possessed something so rare, I needed to chime in with my experience. We do agree that they are an awesome band and I am sure no person would want to see them regret it. When I was in 8th grade I spent a $150+ to add 1MB of memory to a Sound Blaster card to enable it to store Sound Fonts so I could hear my compositions. All my choice. Two weeks ago, I upgraded my main rig’s ram to 128GB to handle my upgrades of Vienna Symphonic Library Sample libraries. Pretty early on, it is telling how they are doing and if they are being forced against the grain of their passions. (But, if Pau went off to he a novelist, Dany went to lead a new band and Ale becomes a fashion designer/ceo in southeast Asia, my guess is they wouldn’t regret the hard work, education and parents.)

    • @berwinenzemann3468
      @berwinenzemann3468 2 года назад

      @@davidkozin I don't think they were literally forced. The psychological dynamics within the Villarreal family are probably much more complicated and sublime. Everything you say about their qualities is true. They're very talented, they're very charismatic and likable and they have a special chemistry as sisters that makes really unique as a band. All the musical training and the professional management allowed them to become an extraordinary band and they're still early in their career. Dany obviously loves what she does. With Pau I'm not not 100 percent sure. She would probanly do something elseif her parents hadn't pushed her on this path. But she's very good at it. Ale would surely never have put one foot on a stage on her own initiative. But the band wouldn't work they way it does if it wasn't for the three of them.
      It's kinda like with Mozart and Beethoven. They achieved extraordinary skills as musicians and composers because their fathers pushed them from early on. I'm sure both of them loved their job as adults but it came at a price. For us fans it's a great thing that The Warning exists and I wish 'em all the success. But it comes at price too. Even if they maybe don't even realize it because their stuck way too tight within their family ties. We should't be so naive to belive all those stories like they coincidentally chose the right instruments to form a band after playing the Rock Band Video Game and then decided to form a real band after realizing it. I mean look at the early videos of Ale or Pau. No child at that age achieves such a skill level on their instrument without being pushed in one way or another.

    • @silentplanet7219

      @@berwinenzemann3468 I am in-between both David's and your comments about all this. I do agree that they did sacrifice a lot of their childhood in the pursuit of this dream, but at the same time it seems to me that they did it willingly (at least Dany strikes me as she did it full on and I agree with you, she does appears to be the more “Hardcore” of the three concerning music). On that point, notice that Dany is the less inclined to deviate from Rock in her musical tastes, going so far as to basically be a walking jukebox of Rock songs old and new, while the other two tend to be more into “pop”, dance music, and stuff like that. It's my opinion and probably not a popular one that Dany is actually the one that loves the whole thing unconditionally. I remember an interview in Spanish she gave and when asked what does she prefers, playing live or be in the Studio recording, she said playing live, she loves it, it is easily seen in the way she behaves on stage. Anyway, once they decided that this was the road they would take, of course their parents encouraged and pushed them to go full throttle with it. I would as well. We cannot minimize the fact that their parents sacrificed as well, a lot.

      The Rockband things seems to me to be legit, it is too much of a recurring thing in every interview they give and would be something I can see happening (I remember cousins of mine that were obsessed with Guitar Hero and Rockband back when they were that age). And let us not forget that they never had said that it was what made them become a band, it only made them pick up a different instrument to learn (all three had classical Piano training at that juncture): Dany the guitar, Pau the drums and Ale later on the bass. Luis himself does admit that Pau's drum was him, as he realized her coordination, but Dany and Ale picked the instruments they wanted to learn (going by what they have said on numerous occasions). The band thing came later, when they started playing with each other (before, they just learned and played individually). If we are to “blame” (or be thankful, I personally am thankful for it) something for making them become a band, it was Enter Sandman, that is when they realized “hmmm... we can do this”. All of us who love music can relate to that. At that age I had a band and had dreams of super-stardom, like anyone else (of course, never had the dedication these three amazing ladies have nor understanding parents to support and encourage me to do it) so I don't think the story about Rockband is far fetched.
      You are correct, it comes with a price, but what in life that is worthwhile doesn't? They are reaping now what they sow with all those long hours of work and to your point, parents try to push their children to do the best they can, that doesn't mean it was forced nor something bad. They (The Warning) decided to go down that road and their parents decided to encourage them and give them the tools to do it. I can't but admire that. At least that is how I see it. Up The Warning!

      @berwinenzemann3468 2 года назад

      @@silentplanet7219 I agree with the first paragraph of your comment, but do you really think it's realistic that three girls at that age learn old rock and metal classics like Enrer Sandman, Crazy Train, Sweet Child O' Mine, Back In Black or We're Not Gonna Take It just because they enjoy them so much? It's hard work and barely any girl that age listens to that kind of music. Do you really believe they put those videos on RUclips just for their grandparents to watch and were surprised when they got viral? Do you really believe an eight year old girl randomly chooses to play bass to play it on her own? There's footage of small Ale practicing with her bass teacher and they're doing quite difficult exercises. Small Ale does them very well which means she was practicing alot. At eight or nine years old. I'm sure you know the video of Pau doing My Life Would Suck on the drums while she was ten years old. Filmed from three different angles. It takes alot of work to play on that level as a ten year old.
      I'm not assuming any bad intentions on Luis' behalf. I bet from his perspective making his daughters work hard to become a successful rock band is the best he ever could do for them. I wouldn't be surprised if becoming a rock star is his own unfulfilled secret childhood dream. I suspect it's the same story as with the Jackson Five in the 70ies or the Kelly Family in the 90ies. Only that The Warning makes much better music.
      Anyhow I guess we can all agree that we're glad to be able to enjoy this awesome band.

    And the (not even funny but true) fact about it: They absolutely earn it!
    If Lzzy says they are awesome or phenomenal she does not have to lie - it is simply the truth.
    Do the 3 Girls (well, they still are) even have a clue how public they are in Europe (Germany, Great Brittain, France ...)?
    At one point they are not even the next big thing - at some point you can erase the word "next" - even at their young age.
    Thinking about making your life with music. Totally wrong anticipation - They ARE music and even don't have to worry about anything else. It's the next step - and ... it goes ahead. Yes, I'm worrying a bit about this - cause everyone will have a minute or two with them. Hopefully they do have enough energy and the right management to do this - cause we need them where they belong to: Making great(er) music (even if it seems that's not really possible).
