My husband and I are Ghosties, and we bought Friday paddles for our anniversary this year after hearing about them on the podcast. I haven't seen them out in the wild before.. until today! I work at a YMCA in a smaller town in MN, and an older guy who participates in our pickleball program walked out carrying a Friday paddle. I complimented him on his paddle, and told him that I have the pink one. We both talked about loving the paddles, and he said, "This paddle is too good for me, I have to keep playing to hopefully become worthy of it!" I agreed, and I wanted to share because it was so cool to see a stranger love them as well! Thanks for making a great paddle!!
Be careful with that $2 charge on your account. I experienced someone "testing" my account, two days later hit it with a much larger amount. Thankfully my bank took care of everything for me.
Yes! I was hoping someone posted this. The small amount is usually the test before they steal a large sum of money!

I came here to say the same. I work at a bank and I cancel debit cards for similar charges all the time. Once they know the number works they’ll try it for more.
A few years ago I had to get a new debit card because I noticed a small charge for something I didn’t buy, several states away. 😬

Here we are already, at week 4 without the Ghostrunners Facebook group. The days have been long, but yet it seems that it's gone by so quickly. I'm told that after 30 days, my account will be gone forever. Permanently erased, like a middle school math problem.
I've thoroughly enjoyed being part of this community, and I daresay that these talkshow episodes have been the highlights of my Mondays & Wednesdays while I've been away from the Ghosties.
Now, I may have to start anew... and if I do, you can be sure I'll be back. We won't have our memories, but we'll be ready to make new ones.

My brother in law was in Transformers the Last Knight. He hands the phone to Mark Wahlberg on the plane towards the end of the movie. They filmed in Cardiff and Detroit. The director wanted people who were already trained as Navy Seals to be in the movie. He was a Navy Seal in Hawaii. Pretty cool movie.

1) “what time is it?” It’s 1am for me as I’m finishing the pod.
2) for Easter a friend from college and I took a road trip to Crystal Bridges Art museum in Arkansas and going to and from there we binged Jean Shorts (I’m pretty sure we watched every vid)! It was great to spend the weekend with him and we got inspired to make some skits!
3) Timon getting a PRs with the pod? It’s literally ghostRUNNERS! Ofc he can make another one! I listen when I run as well but I l laugh and lose breathing rhythm. However, it does keep my mind off the pain in my legs!
4) Bro the slap happiness was REAL!! I get that way too after too long (usually 4am if I make it that far). And watching you guys laugh at fart jokes got me laughing too!
5) Timon singing in the choir! I would love to let em watch if I wasn’t so far away! I feel like we should have a club for music too! We have Ghostreaders for books. Why not Ghostwriters or Boosic?

Update: great episode!! If you need new sports to watch, Champions League soccer is the way to go. Quarter finals are on right now and it’s some of the best soccer you’ll watch (especially if it’s Real Madrid😁)
Brad- more often than not credit card scammers will begin by putting small unprovable charges on your card to see why they can get away with, and slowly overtime build it up to bigger amount or more frequent small purchases. Keep an eye on your statements and if you see anything else you might want to get a new card. Bc even though the first fraud was only $2, they now have your info and know that it works.
Planet of the Apes (the new ones, starting with Rise of the Planet of the Apes with James Franco) is easily the single greatest underrated film series of all time. I own all of them despite being able to stream them, and will probably see the new one in theaters multiple times. I could watch and have watched them over and over again. The filmography, the score, and the story telling is superior to anything ever done in film history. They are absolutely incredible films.

I somehow let my DL expire (dumb of me!) and ended up at grocery pickup with my four kids and wasn’t going to be able to pick up the wine I ordered for beef stew because my license was expired…lo and behold my passport was in the car from a recent trip and that worked! 😂 the lady helping me had a good laugh with me over how weird that scenario was! 😆
P.S. Brad I am so sorry for your loss and for your whole family! I love your perspective on her life and death and know she is so proud of the man you are. I lost my grandmother last summer and she also lived a wonderful, long, life but I miss her very much!

About the Easter egg hunt, I'm a pastor at a church responsible for coordinating a community-wide egg hunt. We have literally thousands of eggs. I would love to "hide" them and make it a true hunt, but it's just not realistic! There's not 1000s of hiding spots outside. We don't want kids running around the parking lot, going near stranger's cars. So I agree with you, Brad, in principle! But it just isn't as feasible.
Also a pastor who was in charge of the Egg Hunt. 😊 We set up obstacles (boxes, etc) to make it feel like a little bit more of a hunt, but a good 50% of them were just all over the ground. I always tell my volunteers to at least hide the golden eggs that win kids prizes. 😊 But it’s fun seeing the kids’ faces in awe at the thousands of eggs on the ground.

I am a humongous planet of the apes fan. I cried in the last movie because the apes show more mercy than the humans which makes you ask the question if we’re the real animals.
Careful! Brad if you don’t report the small charge, but they end up charging more later, the bank will most likely deny the claim since you didn’t dispute all of the charges. They’ll say you’ve done business with them before and you’re kind of SOL. I work at a bank and I’ve seen too many instances like that! 13:34

Okay, so here's another tough movie take from the boys... I will ONLY defend the most recent "Apes" movies. I thought it was only supposed to be a trilogy, starting with the one with James Franco, but I heard at the end of Brad's rant why he's out on these movies: "I don't know Andy Serkis." If you're not familiar with him, he revolutionized motion capture acting as we know it, starting with Gollum in LOTR, and then he did all the motion capture for King Kong in the Peter Jackson version with Jack Black and Adrian Brody. ANYWAY, Andy Serkis as an actor is really skilled, but I get that it's hard for everyone to take his technical performances as animals seriously, but his three times as "Caesar" (the main ape in this trilogy) are pretty epic performances that he does literally every movement and scene for. So this 4th Apes movie coming out seems like an unnecessary continuation, but the trilogy of Rise, Dawn, and War are all VERY GOOD movies. So here's me telling you Brad to Check it Out! - Mark Damanskis (AKA: Winner of Tuesday's Ghostie Guillotine league)

Random question of the day: how come you guys don’t have an accent? Does Kansas just not have an accent?? New Yorkers, southerners, mid-westerners, Californians, Jersey, New Orleans… they all have pretty distinct accents. I mean I’m from WA, and obviously we don’t have accents, but how come Kansas got skipped over too..?
Kansans have a flat dialect. We have an accent, but it’s not as noticeable compared to other groups of people.
Kansas has a “neutral” accent. There are a lot of call centers located here because of this.

JAKE literally the exact same thing happened to me with my expired tags. I got pulled over twice for it within the span of a week and had not been pulled over at all in the whole YEAR it had been expired prior…I had the same thought - well I usually wait for the sticker to come in the mail and it never did! Turns out I had moved counties and changed my name so…the sticker never came. Anyways, I relate. 😭😅🤣

Not sure if you are in MO or not, but they changed the law this year and you can be pulled over only for having expired tags. Before, they had to have another reason to pull you over.
So yeah, you have to stay in top of it now if you don’t want to get pulled over all the time. 😅
