Good Basic info 101 my friend. It amazes me how many guy's get intimidated by series or parallel 12 or 24 Volt. You explained it well and the way I explain it. I still get calls from guys asking how to jump this thing. I like the ones that call about Pos. ground system. My reply is Don't pay attention to where the wire goes. Put +Pos to +Pos - neg. to - neg. Well Done TGP
I know I'm a little late from when this video was made, but just aquestion, when you do individual battery jumping as you mentioned, do you have to disconnect all the cables from the 24 volt system
@@dieseldoctor25 what about 24 volt batteries? I have a big bus and I need to jump my pickup truck, the bus has 24 volt batteries, do I still just do positive to positive and negative to negative?
no, all the battery's are 6-or 12 volt's most 24volt systems use 12volt battery's . so pos to pos & neg to neg on 1 battery in truck & bus should do it ! tip 6volt battery has 3 caps or cell's- 12volt battery has 6 caps or cells. hope this helps !
@@jackofalltrades406 24 volt system should have 2 -12volt battery's truck 1-12volt battery .so pos to pos neg to neg on 1 battery in bus & 1 battery on truck.

O yes, THANKS TOM!
Well done, Mr. Mike. Clear and concise, makes perfect sense. Thanks for the lesson!
OK THANKS!
Great informative video. I remember back in the day when they used 6 volt batteries to make 24 volt.
Same here but I never did like a 6V battery.
Great information. Too many don’t know
Ya-Get phone calls all the time!
