Welcome to Spec Pinata!

My NB Spec Miata is affectionately known as Moose. I'm not one to name cars or assign genders, but she came that way and now I can't think of her as anything else. She looks docile enough, but she’s a tough beast and watch out if you get her angry.
After finishing only my 2nd SCCA race ever, my HackRacing teammate BillBilly greeted me with "welcome to spec pinata!" While you’ll see the beginning of the race didn't go as planned, the rest of the race proved true to creeds of Krugspeed Racing who built and crew Moose and HackRacing. Krugspeed’s lives by “Perserverantia Victoria!” which I believe roughly translates to “victory through perseverance.” HackRacing on the other hand has proven time and again to be a place (real or mentally) “where dreams struggle to come true.”
This race proved both to be true through a botched start, damage, and changing conditions on slic tires. (For those that don’t know, the tire is a true race tire with no water-shedding properties whatsoever.) Spoiler alert: though I didn’t win, I hope you enjoy watching this race as much as I did driving it.
