You even noticed that he didn't give me a point by on the safest part of the track to pass but instead gave it to me in an off camber tight turn and on the wrong side to boot. I kept putting my car in his side mirror so he could see me to give me the point by and he didn't do it. There was a train of cars behind me and he only gave 1 point by on the safest part of the track to pass. He was too caught up on trying to keep his truck on track. Hey Paul, no it was not just a ram truck, it was indeed the viper truck. It was not a mustang club, it was an hpde event that anybody can pay the $649.00 entry fee and do with a proper track ready car. Have you ever done an hpde event? If so, what car do you drive? This gentleman driving the truck did not pay the $649.00 fee to get on track like everyone else. He worked for the organization putting on the event. He was there to work. Also, if you've done an hpde event, you will know that you can't pass anyone on track unless they give you a point by. For him to not give me and the 5 cars right behind me a point by on the straightaway, which is the safest place on track to give one, is not correct. Instead, he gave me a point by in a hard turn, which is doable but not near as safe. He should know better and play by the rules. A bunch of people have given me sh*t on here for yelling at him but I was frustrated with the whole situation cause he just had to get on track with what he brought, his truck, and it took away from everybody that actually paid money for track time. They tried that before. Drivers kept leaving their blinkers on, forgetting to turn them off, and drivers thought they were wanting them to pass them so they did, and wrecks started happening. So yea.... either way, kinda dangerous.

Yea I could have passed him easily but I was playing by the rules. This was an HPDE event with Chin Trackdays and you can't pass unless pointed by or you'll get black flagged. He pointed me by in an off camber turn, much more dangerous than on a straightaway. Thanks for the comment! 👊🏻
My initial thought was the truck was a marshal putting space between the two of you. They don't know you're "buddies," and most corner workers I know would have black flagged your friend for failing to give you a point by and you for being too close. Nice driving on your part, though. I hope you're looking into getting your comp license at some point.
Hi Jennifer! Thanks for the comment. That's the plan. I'm signed up for comp school at VIR with NASA. @@316racingchannel9 Everybody keeps telling me how much I'm going to love VIR, and I can't wait! Haven't made it to Road Atlanta, but it's on my list for next season. This season, I plan on going to VIR, Mid Ohio, and Watkins Glen. But mostly, I run at Summit, Dominion, and NJMP. Summit has 3 courses. Main is the best for our cars, but my favourite is Shenandoah...the one that is decidedly NOT for Mustangs! Shenny is definitely built for the Miatas and Porsches, and the first time I drove it, I might have cried and questioned my existence in motorsports and life in general, but now, I grab seat time on it every chance I get!
That was frustrating, watching the white #24 GT350 miss the braking points (and be so abrupt on and off braking in the process), turning points, and generally not looking in the mirror. All of the track decals on the rear glass indicates the white 350 should have been more “track aware” and let you pass 2 laps before the truck entered the field. Watching some other recent videos, I saw that same white 350. Is it safe to assume you know the driver and maybe he/she was not getting vying the point on purpose?😅 All of that said, regarding the trucks, a paid entry is a paid entry. I have been on track with a Toyota Yaris before. The guy was giving it hell and great to watch.
He paid his money just like everyone else. We all had to learn at some point. Could have been his first time. Plus he helped you gain a little bit more experience for your future in racing. Instead of being mad at him, find him in the pits and and give him some pointers to help him get to your level. Just my opinion. We're all on the same side.
I agree and good points. There is so much more to the story though and I've told it numerous times on here. He didn't pay any money, he worked for the organization, he has racecar but didn't bring it. Brought his truck instead. No offense but I'm tired of telling the true whole story. You can look at some of my past recent responses. Thanks man and have a blessed day.
I wish that was the case. He has a racecar and didn't plan on driving at the event but once he got there he couldn't help himself. He had to get on track in his stock truck. It's just dangerous for anybody to be out on track with a vehicle that you can't see out of and isn't track ready. He knew better but couldn't help himself. I'm just glad no one got hurt including him.
Interesting to see how little full power could be used and was an advantage compared with the many times weight would be a disadvantage. Compared with a lighter car that had more grip and adequate power.
I've been in plenty a fast pick up truck and SUV on track. 2 lightnings and a cayenne turbo. None of them were a hazard or unsafe. Heck, they annoyed Corvette owners down the straights 😆😆
Wasn’t anything “epic” in this “battle,” lol…just a guy who was kinda fast on the straight, but wildly inconsistent whenever a corner showed up…had multiple opportunities to pass the other Mustang, but couldn’t figure it out…and then blames the truck? Hire an instructor…

Driver mod for sure on your battle with the other GT350! You were all over him, great lines and great driving! And a stock SRT-10 Ram?! He played stupid games and won stupid prizes, sad it ruined your awesome battle though.
nothing wrong with bringing an srt-10 to the track, it has upgraded suspension and obviously way more power from the factory. I'm sure slower cars have been on mid ohio, plus he was following track etiquette.
No he wasn't, he should've signaled the camera car to pass. Even if his truck had 1200 hp, camera car out corners him 20 fold. He indeed should've stayed off the track. This isn't a drag strip.
Not really seeing the issue here, other than you seem unable or unwilling to pass the truck for some reason, you obviously have a much faster car, you just don’t have the skill to pass him.
That's the most uneducated comment I've heard yet. You don't have a clue what you are talking about sir. It's an hpde event. You aren't allowed to pass anyone until they give you a point by. It's the rules!! He should have given me a point by and he didn't. I was adhering to the rules. He wasn't.
@@316racingchannel9 so you’re having an ‘epic battle’ with another car that you can’t pass until they signal you to pass them, what’s ‘epic’ about that? Seems kinda pointless to me. And why would you like your own reply? That’s kinda weird as well.

@GetKinetic1one I'm right there with ya buddy. I gotta do WG and Road America too. I've done VIR twice so far and actually go back next month in August. Can't wait for that. VIR is in my top three. It is one fast track! Love it!! I can't imagine doing WG. What a treat that would be...
Entertaining to watch, great driving! I have an 03 cobra with lowering springs, subframes, caster camber plates, intake and exhaust, hopefully it would do better thsn that truck!
Thank you very much Paul for the kind words sir. I would absolutely love to own an 03' Cobra. That is one of my all time favorite cars. Gotta ask, what color did you go with?
It would do way better than that truck. Trust me! 👊🏻
The brakes on that truck lasted 2 laps lol
Who hosted this track event? 10/10ths?
Hey wait was that my pappaw in the pickm up on the track lookin to buy his lottery tix?!
Omg LMAO!!!! That's funny man!
Admittedly, I would be shocked to see a pickup at the track. I am not sure back when I drove at track days that it was allowed.
I know right. I hit your old track today. Got in some laps at Road Atlanta... I'll post a video tomorrow if any of them are descent. Have a great weekend!
@@316racingchannel9 Great!
@@316racingchannel9depends on the club. I instructed a cherokee srt at Sebring years ago. Reminds me of this truck. Was decently quick and surprised me in the corners for what it was but was no where near the limit of cars. Just too big. Guy sold it for a c6 z not long after that event.
I used to run SCCA races there in the 90's, fun track.
Indeed! I loved the layout and elevation changes. You're right, a very fun track. I had a blast!
Good wheelin out there brutha!!👍🏽👍🏽
Appreciate ya Greg!! Have a great weekend buddy!!
the other s550 was not sharing the track very well and the truck gave a horrible point by but it was very entertaining non the less'
Awesome! Thanks Kyle. Glad you enjoyed it buddy and thanks for stopping by! Best wishes!! 👊🏻
That was awesome!! Ol' 24 wasn't given you that point by was he 🤪...I assume you know him and he knew it was YOU behind him? My trackday friends and I play that "cat and mouse" game when we can, its always fun :)
You nailed it! Ol 24 is one of my best friends! And you are exactly right, we were playing the cat and mouse game. Just having a blast out on track as you know! Appreciate ya Jason! Have a great weekend buddy! 👊🏻
60-130 mph took you 10 seconds?! What's under the hood, two blender motors?
Nope wrong!! Only one. Don't need 2 bender motors when one puts out .0000005 hp. Geez dude everybody knows this. Common man!!
Great video. I’m heading to MO for the first time in a few days and thought I would get a feel for the track layout. I understand the frustration of a slower driver that just won’t give a point-by when they have a train behind them. Which HPDE organization were you running with?
You are gonna love it Brian. It is a super fun track. It's got a little bit of everything. It was my first time too and I can't wait to go back. Not looking forward to the 10+ hour drive to get there but can't wait to go back. Hope you have a blast and be safe! Please let me know what you think of it. I'd love to hear. Safe travels!!
@@316racingchannel9 hey buddy, looks like you was having a ball.
I run bikes on track, but watching your video makes me wanna try cars now.
Where is this track located?
Mid-Ohio race course is just north of Columbus Ohio about an hour give or take. The track is awesome buddy! Go do it if you can! Appreciate ya! 👊🏻
@@316racingchannel9 it looks like an awesome track...it almost looks like Virginia international raceway.
@@316racingchannel9
Just got back from Mid-Ohio. It poured all night and misted till noon. After lunch it was drying out and the fun began. My best was a 1:57 and 122 on the back straight. My car was giving it everything it had. Of the six tracks I’ve been to I’d put MO at second, behind Pit Race.
Take care 316
Why do they call this track mid-Ohio when it is very clearly top-tier-Ohio?
I don't know man. That is so true! Lol
They don’t use the turn signals to allow pass coordination in that event? Seems counter intuitive to hand wave out the window on a racetrack LoL
They tried that before. Drivers kept leaving their blinkers on, forgetting to turn them off, and drivers thought they were wanting them to pass them so they did, and wrecks started happening. So yea.... either way, kinda dangerous.
Driver learned just cause his truck got a viper motor doesn't make it an actual viper lol
That bugga in the red truck was a pain, you could have gotten that white Muzzy and got a greater time,, Better luck next time bloke, ya did bloody real well, apart from getting help up with the white, and the red,
Thanks Teddy!
I don't know if there were any rules for when you could or couldn't pass, but I'm not sure why you didn't pass the truck when your buddy did. Looked like you had plenty of room...
Yea I could have passed him easily but I was playing by the rules. This was an HPDE event with Chin Trackdays and you can't pass unless pointed by or you'll get black flagged. He pointed my buddy by but not me. Believe me, I would have loved to pass on a high speed straight vs where he finally pointed me by.
The car is currently under the knife getting a full roll cage put in along with a bunch of other goodies. I'm just praying it will be ready in time for the comp school. 🙏🏻 It's gonna be close and there is a descent chance I'll have to bail out but we'll see. I didn't plan very well. 😔
@@316racingchannel9 you can always use somebody else's car for comp school if yours isn't done in time.
@@316racingchannel9 I'll be at VIR this June. Just signed up this afternoon. So excited, as I've not driven that track before (Summit Point is my "home" track)
You will LOVE VIR!! That's one of my favorite tracks by far. I hit it at least twice a year. Road Atlanta is my home track. I've never driven Summit Point. Fun? Have you had a chance to make it to Road Atlanta?
Another great video.........not to hurt your buddies feelings but you drive Soooo Smoooth vs him 👍
Man thanks CJ. Appreciate ya buddy! 👊🏻
Is it safe to assume you know the driver and maybe he/she was not getting vying the point on purpose?😅
All of that said, regarding the trucks, a paid entry is a paid entry. I have been on track with a Toyota Yaris before. The guy was giving it hell and great to watch.
You looked a little braver than the other Stang driver
Hell He's just a typical Ram driver. I think being an idiot is a chapter in the owners manual.
OMG LOL!!
I mean, was the Toyota Celica much better? lmao
I keot waiting for the Dodge Neon. Then i realized it was a game and I am out.
Epic battle...in The Special Olympics.
Don't know looks like the white mustang was holding you up more than the truck.. run what ya brung man. Maybe he was testing his trucks handling.
Dudes like a troll in forza with that thing.
The fact that you called it a 4x4...
I’m shocked Mid Ohio allowed a truck.
That makes two of us buddy.
I've been in plenty a fast pick up truck and SUV on track. 2 lightnings and a cayenne turbo. None of them were a hazard or unsafe. Heck, they annoyed Corvette owners down the straights 😆😆
Anything is fast when you put enough money into it!!!
That pickup truck should not have been allowed on the track.
💯%
Yea yea yea...🤯
The truck lol
Wasn’t anything “epic” in this “battle,” lol…just a guy who was kinda fast on the straight, but wildly inconsistent whenever a corner showed up…had multiple opportunities to pass the other Mustang, but couldn’t figure it out…and then blames the truck? Hire an instructor…
Hey Mike, I appreciate the kind words sir. I hope you have a blessed day and your life is enriched with happiness and you and your family are stay safe and healthy out there. Take care sir...
What the fuck 😂
Good job out of getting out of racing the other mustang lag behind a dam truck
I know I was terrified of my buddy in the other Shelby. Thank God that truck got in my way so I could use that as an excuse to bail out of having fun with him. I hope you have a blessed day and fantastic weekend codsac
@@316racingchannel9 should have pulled a Elliot on his ass
Straight line cars should either know when to MOVE OVER or stay off the damn track. Damn ego drivers
That guy in the white Stang wasn't smooth. He consistently hit the brake in the wrong spots.
More detroit pony cars trying to be tough ( on the straights )
Driver mod for sure on your battle with the other GT350! You were all over him, great lines and great driving! And a stock SRT-10 Ram?! He played stupid games and won stupid prizes, sad it ruined your awesome battle though.
Appreciate ya Brandon! Have a blessed day buddy and a great weekend!! 👊🏻
So glad my track days are on 2 wheels, videos like this don't make HPDE culture look great.
nothing wrong with bringing an srt-10 to the track, it has upgraded suspension and obviously way more power from the factory.
You guys realize this is a fucking video game, right?
The white stang has no idea how drive....
I mean u gotta respect him for trying doe but atleast lower it and try to make it work. Shi looked bone stock 😭😭😭 but awesome driving.
100% buddy. Definitely lower it and get the proper suspension work done to it. Make it track worthy and safe. Agree 100%. 👊🏻
@Jim Wilson Jim, you poor thing. I'm so sorry you are a mean and hateful person and i hope you can find happiness in this world. Jesus still loves you and I hope you have a blessed day. I'm praying for you to be happy instead of projecting your hate onto the world. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@Jim Wilson and yes I do like my own comments. Otherwise I wouldn't say them.
@@316racingchannel9 whats
eh, you would've whooped him if you tried. he's too hard on the brakes and doesn't like trail braking.
Fast truck until the brakes fade
Very fast truck and yes sir on the brakes!
That's not a track vehicle. Unsafe. High CG. That truck should not have been allowed to participate. Drag strip, sure. Road course... heck no. Unsafe.
The SRT10 guy should have got over and he’s an idiot for blocking obviously faster cars which is a no no on open track days. On the other hand, it’s wasn’t the 24hrs of Le Mans. It was an open track day and he had all the right to be on the track as anyone. Hopefully he learns some track rules, learns to drive within his vehicles limits and finds a good deal on a new V10 viper engine lol
you got smoked
Lol what's your car of choice? What car do you drive on track?
