2016 SCCA Runoffs Mid-Ohio F Prod - Eric Prill

In-car camera from Eric Prill's #7 MaxtonsFight.org/Jesse Prather Motorsports/Hoosier Mazda Miata in the 2016 SCCA National Championship Runoffs race for F Production. Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Sept. 25, 2016. Video ends but we ran under caution for several more laps before the race was checkered early due to damage to a wall.

I was gunning for Eric to setup the MG at the keyhole get the run on him passed the start/finish, and get just enough to take him under braking at turn 4. Then all hell breaks loose. What fun to watch even if I'm 2yrs late to the party :)

the guy in the midget got ticked that the 7's were passing him. I saw him give the yellow 7 a lil tap.

It's really hard to pass somebody on the outside... you should try diving in like they did to you at 14 minutes

2yrs later... my first view. The 2nd 7 was passing, and MG started to close the door but too late. 7 guy was through... well almost through. MG should have given up the position. My guess is that the 7's consume less tyre and he would have had to push super hard to get his 1st position back.

Clearly the 7 took a left turn (maybe just continued straight?") off that little rise just before that little right sweep starts. They seem to get twitchy at higher speed and it was just a racing thing. Looks like as they are side by side coming out of the turn they suck into each other. Thats not really an area of track where you say let the guy pass or "give up the position", it was the front straight FFS, but the 77 didnt need to pinch him down either
