I only use bone conduction since I discovered it. I've tried over many years galaxy buds, air pods, in ear/out offbrands ect, ect. You won't get stero sound for music small sacrifice in my opinion. I was hooked being that unlike buds and pods their not in my ear canal which can avoid ear infection, irritation (from being in your ear even just an hour), and pushing ear wax further into ear canal. Bone conduction can help with mild hearing loss as sound bypasses the outer canal. Ive done and seen buds and pods be used in one ear only (while the other is left in the case) to hear other poeple taking to your or just to be aware of the outside environment when your out and about. With bone conduction you dont have to do that and have sound still coming from both sides of your ears. Bone conduction are comfortable all day hooked around your ears and even at that you can just have em chilling around your neck on standby. And just like you said I think they really shine in the work, school, and gatherings where making phone calls, listening to music or watching videos and still be aware of your inside settings with people, alarms ect and outside setting where you can still hear potential threats fights, cars, or dogs ect. There's still more but I'm rambled to long I enjoy the video great to see this type of review I only ever tried and use AfterShokz but gonna need new one. I'll give this brand a try. Thank you.
When I look at new earbuds one of the 1st things I need is ambient sound for all of the reasons you listed above. Using bone conduction is definitely a better experience when it comes to hearing your surroundings. Especially when you talk out loud.
I wear Aftershokz. I'm on my second pair going on 3 years of this style. I absolutely love these. I pay 150.00 for a different brand. They are awesome

Ayo my man, for your visually impaired viewers can you test these with some reading glasses or something. Curious to see if the frame resting on the ear loop impedes the bone conduction

Not sure how I feel about sound outside the earholes - solid review though!

I put my on first part of my morning wear all day only to remove before bed.
The best part is that you get instant connection take a call ,play a video or listen to music with all the safety of no damage to eardrum as you hear all the noise around you
The mic sounded muffled and a little digital. The Noise Reduction is OK.

The connection is strong with no cutouts if you're walking with your phone in your pockets.
