Nice review. I ordered both Haylou BC01 (90 $) and Shokz Openrun (140$) to compare them, because as many of you I have doubts between the two after so many positive reviews... To sum it up Openrun are better in sound, it's crispier, not that grainy, just clearer and they have more bass (yea, even though bone conduction and bass...). Haylou seem to be more distant and not that clear overall. The sound is just cheaper in the Haylou. I must mention, that the max volume is higher in Shokz as well - it can be important in windy conditions and in louder enviroments. To be honest - for most of people the difference may not be that excessive to paid for Shokz that much extra cash, but for me it's enough noticeable. Sound quality is better for me and they have more max volume. The same said my room mate after trying both of them. Another thing is comfort - Openrun are better for me. They are not THAT smaller and THAT thinner at first glance, but again maybe these small differences are enough in my case. Openrun are comfier, I can't feel any excessive pressure of them on my head and around my ears. With Haylou I feel more pressure, they pinch me a little around the ears, which can be a dealbreaker when cycling whole day. I didn't compare other things like battery life, phone calls etc. further, because it was enough for me to make the decision and send the Haylou back, even though they are much cheaper. Probably Haylou could be a better choice for a 1 hour run, but not for a constant 5-8 hours use.
"A high end sound quality SHOULD be delivered" ... I heard only vocal mids. These will shout in your ear but won't "sing" mine are also NOT nearly as loud as the Shokz (but are loud enough)
This is definitely not an ad Sean! There were no negatives 🤔 I've tested a few pairs of bone conduction headphones lately and these are hands down the best pair. I tried really hard to find a negative but with the audio quality, the comfort and the price, I couldn't find one 👍 We're always very honest in all our kit reviews and we always will be. Thanks for watching 🙏
Unfortunately that's always going to be the issue with any rechargeable product Neil, especially If you use them a lot. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
I find it quite hard to pay £160 with Shokz for something that will only last a year though, so these seem a much better, more affordable option. Thanks for doing such great reviews!
Like the regular OpenRun, slightly cheaper. Not a bad thing, really. 90 euros, can be found fo 80 euros, versus 110 euros. Dunno about sound quality of either, I've bought some OpenRun for my brother, went with tried and tested for a first experience, but will consider the Haylou for myself if it pans out.
Great review video. It looks like Haylou BC1 is a good product! A few months ago, I considered it. Later, I chose Wissonly Hi Runner, partly because Hi Runner is cheaper and partly because it has more features. For example, the IPX8 waterproof and MP3 mode provide it with more usage scenarios, such as running, swimming, boating, cycling, fitness, etc. Fortunately, it has worked very well so far.
Just to confirm after checking the Amazon page, there's no rewind/fast forward controls on the device itself right? Not sure if such a feature currently exists on any bone conduction headphone for swimming (and running).
It's a real shame that when these BC headsets are reviewed that not enough focus is put on the quality of the phone call for those of us who like to go out running at lunch and may have to take the odd important office phone call.
Not a headphone wearer when exercising, sometimes walking and nearly always when gardening though, so I will check them out. I think on an ultra, if I did wear headphones I’d be more likely to weave wired ones. Imagine anting some tunes 16hrs in and your phones have no charge!
Nice review (as always) 👍🏼 I’m wondering how it is running with that ‘string’ in the neck if you have long hair? I guess you yourself haven’t tested that? 😉🙂
I’m not one to run with headphones. if I did, they would have a set like this. Being able to hear your surroundings is paramount for safety. Great value for the price!!
I don't think you'll be disappointed Trevor, I was really impressed with the quality and the cost! 👍 Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Another great review Loyd. I think you are right in saying bone conductors are the way to go for runners or cyclists. It just makes sense that you are more aware of conditions around you. Thanks for finding an excellent value for money pair🙏
The battery life is really good, I've only had to charge them up once since I've had them Bilal 👍 I've been very impressed with the performance of the HAYLOU headphones 😊
@@Run4Adventure that's great. I have the naenka bone conduction headphones and they advertised the battery life for 6 hours but I only get a bit less than 4 hours at full volume. Do you keep the headphones on full volume?
@@bilaltahir9978 I only have needed to have them on full volume when I was running on the road. If I was out on the trails I would turn them down a bit 👍 Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍😊

Not a single negative? This felt like an ad. You should disclose that if you get any percentage from our purchases….

Hi there, thanks for the review. I tried to use the code but it didn't work. Any pointers on how I get the discount? Thanks!
I got a pair based on your review and not bad for the price. as I have a pair of aftershokz as well
A great pair of headphones for the money Phil, glad you like them and thanks for watching the channel 🙏😊
Any ideas if there’s a newer code? This one doesn’t seem to work?
Be interesting to see a long term review on these. I got the Aftershokz Aeropex a while back and after a year the battery only lasts 3.5-4 hours

Oh no! They really are great value headphones, hopefully they'll get some stock soon 👍

Everything is just the same as open run, I guess everything comes down to the sound quality and price
They are very similar to the Open Run Pros Alex, Infact exactly the same but the price is a lot better!

I was actually looking at those headphones a few days ago. Now after watching your review I will definitely be purchasing a set.

Can I use this swimming as well?
I don't think they've been designed with swimming in mind 🤔

I wonder if Shokz are busy instructing their lawyers? 🤔
I think so, in Germany I cant find the haylou on Amazon anymore ^^ Maybe they offered something without the "apple price tag" ;)
I'm pretty sure they're not Richard but I know what you mean, they are very similar to the Shokz headphones 🤔
Great review mate. That's a right bargain lol
Cheers Jake 🙏😊
WHAT'S THE BATTERY LIFE ON THESE.
It's around 8hrs 👍

Are they just as loud as the open run pro?
I actually think the audio is better than the Open Run Pro's, I did mention that in the review twice 👍
