One thing this serial has over the 1943 film is more dynamic fight choreography. It may follow the tropes of the hero getting overpowered or stalemated at the end of each chapter, but in this one Batman's got better moves and looks much more competent than he did previously. That said, Robin did get the short end of the stick. He spends most of his time getting his ass kicked than dishing it out.
This comment is very appreciated. Re-watching the video I can analyze and really grasp more enjoyment out of batman's positioning and movement, his physical power.
@Ruby Williams It may not truly be some overly choreographed picture, but it’s definitely pleasing to see that aspect here than other times of the Batman. This film is definitely more dynamic than anything I’ve seen, there is such reaction involved to these two characters: the way they move is an excellent sight and the positioning here is so primal, it’s explosive. I wish you could see this.
I feel like robin's fight scenes where choreographed with someone much shorter in mind. If they had cast a 14 year old in the role these fight scenes would be far less awkward.
My dad The BatMan had been around longer than that asended vet before comic books action figures movies before Superman Wonder woman ,the flash green hornet, Green lantern Spiderman, Godzilla king Kong, Godzilla hulk Hogan the undertaker before the three stooges internet his brithday 1919-1939 . As Popeye would say well can you beat that.
John Duncan as Robin wasnt much tougher than Douglas Croft had been in the 1943 Batman.I think those two would lose in a tag team match against Pee Wee Herman and Barney Fife!
Let's see if you boys can handle my- block and punch (pow!), block and punch (pow!) , block and punch (pow!) how about my - block and punch (pow!), and you wont see this coming my - block and punch (pow!)
I'm pretty sure this would be considered pretty darn violent for the time, considering the 1960s series was criticized by parents groups for its violence.
While yeah, this serial and the one before aren't that great and have some incredibly dated moments, it's the earnerst and honestly endearing cheesiness and niave camp of it all, it's unique place in DC Comics history, both serial's amazing scores (though to be fair Batman always has awesome music for his film endeavors), and the absolutely REVOULTIONARY way of filming fight-scenes that makes both serials worth a watch. They're definitely products of their time, but in a good way. Thanks for uploading.
Damn this is kinda painful to watch. Batman has no skill in this, no edge or strategic mind. He's just some goofball in a dumb costume getting punched alot.

Man this Batman I would prefer than the 43 Batman because this is when he’s actually knocking the thugs out.
1:55 Robin is barefoot. And if you watch closely, you can see Batman have to readjust his mask during the fights....
LOL! thank you for pointing that out... Where did his shoes go!!!
Guess Robin got knocked out of his shoes!

In the first movie Batman was level one in this movie he’s a level 5
He’s learned lots so far
4:18 wow. So dramatic. all jokes aside, I love watching cool vintage movies like this. Thanks for uploading!
The falling physics done right in this scene
You’re very welcome! It’s truly wonderful isn’t it
@@spoolistutu yep
This batman is better than the 1943's batman.
I suppose in little ways yes. I don’t see an exact difference really
4:15 Batman getting punched out of the window and falling through the air had me dying!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Except that was Vicki Vale's brother posing as Batman.
Batman started hitting some smooth moves at 3:41
This is a very cool vintage stuff. Thanks for uploading
It is wonderful! I had to share it
WOW BATMAN OP
He's got the power of 10 men
i like 1966 batman and 1989 batman
The cape may have kept getting in the way, but at least we wasn't in constant need of rescuing like Wilson.
This is Batman without any batarangs and grapple lines he just falls straight to the ground.
Unfortunately, the martial arts weren't popular back then in the west. Nevertheless, great video.
It was like block and punch in the face in the old classic Batman series.
Now this is the better batman and robin film
Batman and robin 1949 chapter 1-15
John Duncan as Robin wasnt much tougher than Douglas Croft had been in the 1943 Batman.I think those two would lose in a tag team match against Pee Wee Herman and Barney Fife!
This robin is like 26. But Douglas being 16 and doing what he did was amazing
Great! Thanks for sharing.
This is the real Bateman ! Much better than all those modern Batemans
Batman and Robin were getting their asses kicked easily
It was rough crime fighting back then but they still managed.
it not easy fighting crime
At least this batman and robin better than the 1943's batman and robin.
how was batman getting his butt kicked easily like the only thing i could say is reflexes

Batman (1949)
0:09 Why Dick Grayson dumped the cape when he became Nightwing.
I played the Dark Knight theme simultaneously
Woah!!
The first ever batman action!
Yes!
No this is the second Batman action.
Como se pueden ver en español
This why the BatMan is more popular than that little punk Calvin and piddle Pound.
Superglued hats
Maybe
The bad guys had rubber bands stapled to the hats so they wouldnt fall off

u dont know how hard it is to fight crime and not a "dumb costume" it is old school just respect it
only part i will agree with u is they are major goofballs
@@OvO_MJ being old is no excuse for poor design choices.
I am having nightmares hahah :P
Oh yeah?
