- Shea McIntee and crew jump onboard the Thunderbird out of Davey's Locker Newport Beach CA for an overnight Stoked On Fishing charter. This one day adventure has some beautiful weather, fun anglers and tough fighting yellowtail on light tackle.

Looks like it was fun times, but too many cats on the boat. Thats why I prefer long range....... you pay more, but plenty of elbow room.

Med Action with a limber tip...rated 20 to 40 pound test...you want a limber tip for throwing fly lined live bait....at least I do....Diawa sea line 30 on the reel....it's a blast catching yellowtail...8-9 long on the pole...go do it!...25 lb test line

That why I bring my own boat to Catalina Island or any place in southern California. My favorite place is Dana Point boat launch, close to the Ocean.
